My go-to when in Harlem! The service is great as is the food. The owner-the music and vibe is simply amazing. Love this spot.

Went there on Saturday and was hoping to feel some kind of AC but it was not on. We ended up sitting outside which was nice but very small. The steak in the steak wrap was the "fake steak" and not real steak. The food came out hot. The fries and the pancakes are AMAZING! Yesterday I ordered from them & received a B.L.T with no B or T smh... like Ummmmm, where they do that at ? I was flabbergasted (& still hungry) because who about to eat a cheese & lettuce sandwich. My partner had a cheese burger but wasn't able to put the lettuce and tomato in it because as soon as you try to pull the bread apart, it rips up. This place is the real deal! This isn't a tourist spot or fancy place but it is great food with a local home cook style. It was really fun for us Texas folks to get this experience! The service was great! We especially love how the waitress called all the guys "poppie" (I may not have spelled that correctly.) The chicken Alfredo was huge and very good! Went here alone to enjoy a meal alone. My sandwich came missing ingredients so I had to order it separately and remake it myself, and no one checked on me once I got my food, so I had to get up and find someone so I could pay the bill. Had to find someone to take our order, had to ask for our food, had to ask for dressing for our salad, $85 for three people , two burgers with fries, Greek salad with chicken. Got food poisoning here! Staff was friendly. Place is sticky, sticky tables, worn menus etc. ordered a number of things, all of which tasted meh except the plantains. We ordered 2 different stewed meats and when they arrived they smelled and tasted pungent, like they were mixed with vinegar or something. We couldn't eat it, it smelled too bad. When we sent it back, they understood. 8hrs later, I woke up to violently throw up and other symptoms that come with food poisoning. It was nonstop and bad. Ended up going to the hospital. read more

Now this is my first review in a very very long time. But I'm glad that I'm able to review this vaccine COVID friendly diner which literally saved me from hunger.. Today is the day I'm finally taking a very important and exam; of course I needed a big BIG AFFORDABLE breakfast to start my day off. After constantly searching for a place to satisfy my breakfast craving. BUS STOP DINER LITERALLY CAME THROUGH WITH THE . The waitress immediately introduced herself and asked for my vaccine card (huge major bonus points), next she already had a cup of water ready for me to drink(another bonus point). The menu (not gonna lie is quite overwhelming) but I was easily able to ready the old school menu. The atmosphere (and very clean!!) is definitely busy since it's the morning rush and their delivery services was BOOMING (from Uber eats, door dash, etc etc) everything was just A1 AMAZING! My omelette(Pepper Jack Cheese with tomatoes and sausage on the side)was perfectly cooked . Coffee WITH ALMOND MILK perfectly brewed. I researched buttermilk pancakes recently and came across Bus Stop Diner. I looked at the pictures and there was a wide selection of breakfast options so my husband and I decided to go for it. We placed our order with Gabriel who super professional, thorough and courteous. Delivery was prompt so our food came hot even though it was 23 degrees outside. Dramatic moment! My blueberry pancakes, beef sausage and bacon was to live for!! Omg! I couldn't stop raving about it. Every bite reassured me that I did indeed find the best breakfast location in Harlem. Bus Stop Diner is a cute little diner in the corner with such a friendly staff. When we get dinner food we love to try out their breakfast, so we got their French Toast with sausage. The french toast was made with white bread but our favorite was the Belgium sausage which is hard to come by. We also got their spaghetti and meatballs for dinner once there too. They give a large portion which is great! Perfect for two. read more

I've had other items on the menu but this time Im doing this review on my latest time going. It's open 24/7, who doesn't love that in NYC. When you think of the city that never sleeps, this is what I wanna see especially when you have that late night craving. So this hit 10/10 for that reason. It is a little pricy for what they offer. Last night, my girlfriend ordered some salad from this place and a couple of things went wrong: 1) When the order was placed in Grubhub by her; the app mentioned this place was open around 9 or 10pm only to find it closed...but they took the money.. 2) then charged her extra....lucky grubhub got the money back. 3) The salad that was delivered little did i knew carried a surprise(or surprises..) 4) I don't know what the F*** is on the meat of this salad but its insanely disgusting and I nearly threw up. I will NOT order from this place again, I will NOT get anything from this place nor even think about ordering anything. Hate to have to write a negative review for my nearby diner, but unfortunately I have to warn you of their hidden prices and misleading menu. I ordered a pork sausage egg sandwich (pictured $2.95), requested an add on of cheese (pictured $1.00) and an add on side of fries instead of home fries (pictured $1.25). They said that's okay, and confirmed my order "pork sausage, 2 eggs, cheese, on a hero, fries?" I nod in accordance. So that should add up to $5.20 + tax, right? But then I suddenly get a bill for $13.20... If you take a look at their menu (pictured): 1) There is a gap between "bacon, ham, pork sausage ($2.95)", and "beef or turkey sausage ($4.65)". But after I confront them on the bill they insist that bacon, ham, pork sausage, beef or turkey sausage is all $4.65. 2) When he confirmed my order asking for 2 eggs, he failed to mention that it only comes with 1 egg usually and the 2nd one is a $1.00 add on. 3) The cheese $1.00 add on is fine... 4) But as for the home fries ($1.25 add on) sub'ed for fries, which he said is okay... after I confront him on the bill comes he tells me $1.25 is only on the sandwich, but if it's on the side that's $5... 5) When he confirmed my order asking for hero, he failed to mention that a hero is an extra $.75... And that's how they tried to surreptitiously rip me off of an extra $8... While it's not the most sanitary diner, certainly not cheap after raising their prices for a 3rd time, and not the best tasting food... it's convenient and nearby which is why I used to go. But now adding this scam to the mix of issues, it's just not worth it. Nice job Bus Stop, you just lost one of your most regular customers. read more

Never received my order. Perhaps, this place needs to give their delivery people portable GPS devices. I received a phone call from the delivery guy stating that he was outside of my building. I went to meet him, but he was not in front of the building. Ok, that's fine; maybe he was on the way. After waiting a couple of minutes, I called the delivery guy's phone a couple of times, but my calls went unanswered. I also responded to the text message with my apartment building's address that he sent me. Then, I called the restaurant, and the person who answered the phone said that the delivery guy was "lost". After being placed on hold for about 3 minutes, I called the restaurant back, and the guy said that the building does not exist. Um, I've been living in this is the place for over three years so I'm pretty sure that it exists. I proceeded to give the restaurant guy specific directions (e.g. the building is in between this park and this avenue) to pass along to the delivery person. Keep in mind this information is already in my Grubhub address profile, so the restaurant had this information. Clearly, there is some sort of mental delay. Then the guy comes up with a wonderful idea for me to walk and meet the delivery guy who was the equivalent of 3-4 blocks from my apartment. Ummmm. If I wanted to pick up my food then I would have ordered takeout from another place. Also, where does a restaurant establishment get off charging a customer a delivery fee but not have the delivery person drop of the food at the intended address? This fee is in addition to the tip that I provided with my order. So the guy at the restaurant in a very nasty manner said that he had to cancel the order because my apartment does not exist. A few moments later, I get a text from Grubhub saying that my apartment is out of the restaurant's delivery area. Pretty much everyone in this day in age has smartphones with GPS capabilities. If the delivery person had any sense, he would have plugged in my address to find the building. Or at the very least, the delivery person would have answered his phone or responded to my text messages. read more

The "go to diner" up in my hood. The place does killer breakfast business and it delivers on what it offers. Omelets, egg and meat sandwiches, pancakes fly out of this greasy spoon. The staff is friendly and on top of things and handle the rush professionally. There is nothing quite as soothing as a Greek yelling for an "avena" in Spanish or staff using their "Greek" to respond in kind. Some of the items that I recommend are in no particular order, the Dominican breakfast with a cup of cafe hispano, the chicken salad club sandwich, the New York burger, wraps and their salads. Not enough cheese on the BGC. Fries could be better. Not so great quality. It's hard finding a diner open when I get out from work. Which is at 4:30 am. By that time I'm hungry and just want some GREAT finer breakfast. Over all the diner looked very clean but I'm not happy with my good quality. I know we are in a pandemic and business are trying to maximize profit but this isn't the way to go and serve food that isn't up to par. This was my first time here. Absolutely horrible place, I saw the lack of communication skills they had. When I got home to eat my bagel, the most they did to it was toast it and nearly burn it. I asked for a toasted butter bagel and everything was dry so I basically got toasted bread. The other day my sister witnessed a a fly go on a glazed bread when they left it out to clean the cabinets where the pastries go. Never go to this place, it went downhill a couple years ago and is horrendous. read more

I honestly used to love this place up until today, don't order they charge you completely different prices from the menu and will tax you for each individual item that you order. My dish said to be 18 on the menu and then I was charged 23 for the dish. The way that they sneak the price and not inform you that the price will be different from the menu is ridiculous never eating from here again. I realized prices went ridiculously up-- and it's not worth it. I ordered the Mexican grill chicken panini sandwich that comes with fries and what a shame it was. The avocados were turned and way too much jalapeños. This was absolutely an unsightly, unappetizing phenomenal. Check the photos out so you can see for yourself. My bf got the penne ala vodka with chicken and the restaurant didn't even bother adding some Italian bread to accompany to pasta. Not even any Parma Cheese to sprinkle on top. My thing is if you're going to increase the prices on all of your items at least do the damn order right.
