I recently had a hot water heater failure and needed a quick replacement. I contacted Burtech Plumbing because they had done some previous (minor) work for me in the past. They outdid themselves this time! The same day that I contacted them, they sent out Gino. He was able to replace my 50 gallon hot water heater that day, including bringing several items up to current code regulations. Gino was very professional and had expert knowledge. The failure of the old hot water heater resulted in some water damage, that later required the newly installed hot water heater to be temporarily moved (for mitigation & restoration access). Burtech was very responsive in responding to those needs, and Gino was on-site within an hour or so each time further work was required. I came home from vacation and my water heater was leaking. I know I had to get it replaced ASAP. I was already looking for plumbers before I went on vacation due to the need of replacing my garbage disposal. 100% Top-Notch Service from the phone call to project complete! At 8:45am my shower handle stripped out and the water wouldn't turn off without shutting off the whole house. Checked Yelp, found Burtech with Great reviews, called, a super nice sounding woman answered the phone on the 2nd ring, she scheduled me for between 10am and 12 (same day), and I got a call from Jaime Lira right at 10am saying he'd be here within a half hour!!! He replaced the cartridge in my shower handle, then I had him clean 2 drains, replace a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink AND a broken off valve handle for the line going to my dish washer. Then he showed me with his pressure gauge that my water pressure was at 130 and shouldn't be over 70-75. I had him replace my OLD main shut-off valve/handle in my garage. My bathroom ceiling had an inconsistent leak soaking the bathroom on and off for months and the maintenance man and a Bill Howe technician couldn't figure out why. The apartment manager called in Burtech Plumbing to solve the problem. The technician Jaime visited and went to the upstairs unit. He found that the upstairs bathtub was not fully sealed and that the upstairs toilet could rock back and forth! He fixed that and replaced the upstairs tub drain to minimize potential leaks. A few hours after he left, another leak happened - but it came from the bedroom ceiling! Jaime came back the next day, opened up the ceiling and replaced a leaking copper pipe. He also explained why the pipes made sounds every now and then in a way I could understand. Jaime answered my questions clearly and I appreciate that he cleaned up his workspace before leaving. This past Saturday our pipe that is connected to our hose burst from corrosion and water was gushing. I had to shut off our water and find a plumber to come out asap. I called Burtech first but they were booked up until the folllowing day. After calling 6 more plumbers, all were booked. The only company who could come out wanted to charge a hefty fee for off hour service. I thought we were going without water for a couple days. Within 15 minutes the owner of Burtech called back and said one of his guys (Mike) finished up early and was on his way. Mike showed up in about 20 minutes, assessed the situation and was able to cap off the leak. Great service and I thought the price they charged was very fair and worth every cent to be able to resolve the issue quickly. I turned our water back on and was able to move on with our Saturday. This was the first time that I've used Burtech Plumbing. They were able to schedule an appointment right away. Kyle was the service technician and explained how he would check to determine what and where the problem was, gave me an estimate, which seemed quite reasonable. And then he found the problem -- the toilet wouldn't flush properly because of "roots" growing around the wax seal and plugging up the drain -- amazing to see -- I'd never heard of such a thing. Kyle was careful of the unit and the floor tile, cleaned everything up, solved the problem. He also checked the clean-out in the front yard, and checked other sinks, tub, shower, and second toilet to make sure water was draining well. We were having problems with our downstairs toilet, so I contacted Burtech. They were able to send someone out the next morning - much appreciated! Mike arrived on time to fix our toilet. He immediately diagnosed the problem. I asked if he could also install a new faucet in the same bathroom, and he provided recommendations for the replacement. He had a replacement on his truck but it was not the style that I wanted, so I went to our local home improvement store to pick one up. Matt just left my home and not only did he fix the primary problem I scheduled the service appointment for, but he took a look at two other issues within the house and didn't charge me for his time. Fortunately they were quick fixes and he showed me what to do if they happened again. He snaked the master shower drain in a jiffy and we were in much better shape when he left. The price of the service was much lower than I had expected to pay based on quotes from other plumbers. Water heater took a dump on our way out the door for 4th of July weekend. Called a few others, but settled on Burtech since they are a local company. Call center did a good job of taking my request. Steven Ernst called ahead of arrival like I had requested and was spot on time at 8:00AM on the 4th. No upcharge for the Holiday which made it a little less painful. Quote was written up, invoiced and paid. I left Steven to do his thing, Returned home on the 4th to a brand new install with some upgrades and cleaner routing of lines. Max and Jaime were very professional and worked diligently to install a tall 40 gallon gas water heater that had flooded after 22 years . The installation was inside a closet inside the house so the work space was very tight quarters. Many new upgrades were required since the last heater was installed. l received lower estimates over the phone , but l don't know if those estimates would have gone up after a plumber actually saw what the job entailed, that is the reason for the 4 stars. We had a leak in the upstairs toilet last week. My husband can take care of simple repairs and this was simple. But, there is a counter that extends over the toilet tank. We decided to go with a professional who could safely pull out the tank and make the repair. I called one afternoon and Jaime came out the next afternoon. Started shower this morning and uh oh water starting going up to my ankles. This isn't good! Called Burtech with my problem and they said someone would be there at 2:00. Someone was here at 2:00. Mike cleaned the drain out to the street. No joy - some toilets and bathtub still not draining.. Mike would have to go on the roof and work down through the vent.
