Two small food containers, one with salsa and the other with a sauce, are placed on a white surface with beverage bottles in the background.

Love their red sauce, so I picked up a "pint". Unfortunately they think a pint is 12 oz. I thought the tub looked small. Photo of their white "pint" container next to a real pint.

Breakfast supreme, it says $6.89 on the sign board - A printed receipt from Burrito Express in Gilbert, AZ, lists a breakfast order costing $7.73, including a breakfast supreme and no cheese or salsa.

I was looking around for a tasty breakfast burrito the other Sunday and this place had good reviews. I ordered the regular breakfast burrito without cheese. I didnt have to wait long and I took it to go. I ate it about 10 min later, it was still a bit warm but it just did not have much flavor at all. Mostly all I could taste was the charred tortilla. The eggs and meat really had a very mild, bland favor which was very disappointing. There are sooo many other places to try that I likely wont be back. The 2 young cash register girls looked like they were tweens, their hair was all silly braided and they had juvenile makeup and tween clothing. It made me concerned that they might not know how to run the cash register or make change for cash. Not professional or cute. But hey, everybody likes something different.

A hand with dirt and small green particles is placed near a partially eaten burrito wrapped in parchment paper on a gray surface.

Great burritos, love these for weekend breakfasts. Only thing is the last 2 times I've ordered, there's these neon green things in the salsa that don't look normal. Can someone tell me what this is? Can't tell if it's a plastic or styrofoam material but really weird.

Les falta sazon. Not authentic, heavy sour cream. Much better local and authentic options in the valley.

For this occasion we ordered: Bone in ribeye: 4/5- the 20oz steak was perfectly cooked with a charred flavor, but I personally think it's missing butter and some rosemary. As for the mashed potatoes, it was finely grated and mashed and was just divine to eat Salmon carpaccio 3/5- the ponzu flavor was light and not too overwhelming and thought it was great sauce. However, the deduction comes in the way the salmon was cut. For sure if the Salmon were thinly slice vs chucks, I would've gave this dish a higher score. Cutting it in chucks had this mushy texture Ceviche 5/5- this ceviche was delicious. Right amount of seasoning, and with that hint of coconut it complimented the fish and shrimp to perfection As for the service, definitely could've used some improvement. Parking was a breeze, and since there were three of us (including one never-full teenager ), we went for the Mexi-Q Platter and added an extra birria taco so everyone could try one. It absolutely lived up to the hype! The surprise standout? The brisket tostada--sooooo flavorful and satisfying on every level! We also loved the sausage link, Mexi-Q twinkies (aka smoked jalapeños stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, then wrapped in bacon ), and honestly, everything we tried was a hit. For sides, we ordered Grandma's Calabacitas (a yummy squash veggie mix), roasted cream elote, and Julio's mac n' cheese (which I skipped, but the guys were big fans). We wrapped up this phenomenal meal with their GF banana pudding (they offer both GF and regular options), and it was seriously scrumptious--such a treat to have a gluten-free dessert that feels just as special! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive. They double-checked that everything we ordered (minus the mac n' cheese) was gluten-free, which is always such a relief. It means so much when a place truly understands gluten and can clearly guide you on what's safe. We sat outside and soaked up the beautiful weather--it was the perfect setting for such a fun and tasty meal! An easily awarded and well deserved

Great sign as I'm sure it was even busier later after 2 pm when their Taco Tuesday starts. Parking was plentiful about a block away behind the buildings in the parking lot. There's also a parking structure nearby. As soon as we sat someone came out with chips and salsa. I was pleased to see they have a happy hour menu daily until 6 pm. I ordered the Joyride Margarita and shrimp ceviche from the HH menu. Margarita was good, you could taste the alcohol and the tajin rim was tasty. The ceviche was great with a good amount of shrimp and avocado, very flavorful. Both were great considering they were only $6 each. For entrees we ordered the SoCal Burrito and the Beast Burrito. The SoCal Burrito was really good, and there was a lot of big shrimps. The al pastor was a bit salty as was the carne asada in the Beast Burrito but it wasn't too bad. We also ordered one crispy fish taco which was good and came with a heaping scoop of guacamole. I really enjoyed the side salad that comes with the burritos! It had huge corn nuts which was a nice surprise. All in all their menu could be a tad larger (I was hoping for burrito bowls or a fish burrito) but their food is pretty tasty. Our server was very nice and checked in on us just the right amount of times, offering more chips and salsa as soon as we needed it. Parking is easy and there is a lot of outdoor seating, which we needed since we had our dog with us. We'll definitely be back!

The service was good, but not great, and the food was good, but not worth the money. We tried the Green Chili cornbread, and it was much sweeter than I expected, but it was good. The tacos were small 3" street tacos for $3 to $4. That's basically $1 per bite. I tried the chicken, beef, and carna asada. The chicken and beef had very good flavor with a hint of smoke, but the carna asada was dry and tasteless. I saw the food on the tablets next to us, and most of it looked like fairly small servings, except for a burrito one person had. It was huge, and looked good. The house Margaritas were served in a small rocks glass, and I didn't taste any triple sec, or much tequila either. The lime had a nasty taste to like they were old. For a $7 margarita it sucked, and they called that a special. If money is not a concern then maybe you'll like this place, but I wouldn't call it a good value at all. The flavors were good, but not at the price. They don't even give you free chips and salsa, and I saw the guacamole order next to us and it was a tiny serving for $11.
