I am SO glad that dentistry has changed from when I was a kid. I went to what my husband calls "the…read moredental hobby shop" because my dad was in the military so we saw the military dentists. Now I am not saying that all military dentists are bad, but the ones that I happened to have when I was young were pretty darn scary - like Steve Martin Little Shop of Horrors scary (to a little kid). So when I had kids of my own, I would do EXTENSIVE research to find excellent dentists, and of course the best way to do this is word of mouth - which is what Yelp does, but so much more efficiently! If you are looking for an excellent dentist, you should check out Dr. Andrew Moore in Shawnee, Kansas. When we first moved here, I had a veneer pop off one of my front teeth literally on the day when they were delivering all our stuff to our new house. Dr. Moore's staff got me in right away, and didn't even charge me to glue it back on. We have gone to him ever since. His office is state of the art and beautifully decorated. His staff is friendly and very caring. Dr. Moore takes time to talk with each patient, and LISTENS to what you tell him. He also is very generous in giving back to the community. Love, love, love Dr. Moore's office.

The office is beautiful and immaculate- providing an adorable children's play room and coffee, tea, water, and hot coco in the waiting room. The front desk staff is polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. The dental hygienists always do an amazing job with teeth cleaning and are extremely caring and attentive. Dr. Moore has compassion on each patient and fixes problems with ease. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Would recommend this wonderful place to anyone!

I think they have changed ownership, or brought in a new dentist, because I was seen by Dr. Nguyen…read morewho isn't mentioned anywhere here. Fabulous experience, no up-selling (seriously, what is it with dentists and up-selling!). Front desk was fantastic, all the equipment is modern. Just a good neighborhood dental practice. Worth noting, when chatting with a dentist friend who lives in another state, he searched around and actually recommended this office (I had forgotten until after my visit) because of their commitment to preventative care.

DO NOT GO HERE. I…read morehad my first appointment with Steven Vodonick, and the entire experience was incredibly disappointing. I called ahead to let them know I would be running a few minutes late and was told that as long as I arrived within 15 minutes, it would be fine. I arrived just 8 minutes late and was immediately rushed back without even a greeting or introduction. The hygienist was rude and snippy throughout the interaction, and when Steven Vodonick came in, he sternly told me to "get off my phone" without even introducing himself. The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was shocking, especially for a first appointment. When I expressed that I was uncomfortable and no longer wanted to continue with the appointment, his primary concern seemed to be that he wouldn't be able to bill me. There was no apparent concern about why I felt uncomfortable or how I had been treated. I understand that offices have schedules to maintain, but that is no excuse for treating patients disrespectfully. I left feeling completely unwelcome and disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a respectful,

Three members of my family--a 15-year-old, a 7-year-old, and myself--were all treated by Dr. Brendan. Every single one of us ended up needing another dentist to fix his work. Not one, not two--every patient he treated in our family required corrective care elsewhere. That's not bad luck, that's a pattern. We gave the office multiple chances to make it right. After repeat visits and no real resolution, we finally had to put our foot down and refuse to see him again. What made things worse was the experience with the senior dentist. His bedside manner with my young daughter was completely unacceptable. He didn't explain anything he was doing and repeatedly put instruments in her mouth without warning or reassurance. Watching your child sit there confused and scared while someone in a position of authority ignores basic communication is something no parent should have to deal with. The outcome speaks for itself. Our 7-year-old had to be referred to a pediatric dentist and ended up needing a tooth pulled. I had to go to an endodontist for a full root canal after what was supposed to be a simple cavity. These aren't minor issues--these are major corrections. But honestly, the worst part is what it did to my kids. My 7-year-old used to be completely fine going to the dentist--now she's scared and anxious. My 15-year-old has developed dental anxiety as well. That didn't happen by accident. If you're looking for a place that prioritizes patient care, communication, and especially how children are treated, this was not our experience at all. We won't be back, and I wouldn't trust them with my family again.
