I have also had the procedure done a few times in the past and never needed anesthesia. I was told I have to have anesthesia or they would not do the procedure. I refused the treatment and they still charged me for all future procedures. They illegally made me choose between anesthesia and my right to choose or make me pay anyways. After repeat visits and no real resolution, we finally had to put our foot down and refuse to see him again. What made things worse was the experience with the senior dentist. His bedside manner with my young daughter was completely unacceptable. He didn't explain anything he was doing and repeatedly put instruments in her mouth without warning or reassurance. Watching your child sit there confused and scared while someone in a position of authority ignores basic communication is something no parent should have to deal with. The outcome speaks for itself. Our 7-year-old had to be referred to a pediatric dentist and ended up needing a tooth pulled. I had to go to an endodontist for a full root canal after what was supposed to be a simple cavity. These aren't minor issues--these are major corrections. But honestly, the worst part is what it did to my kids. My 7-year-old used to be completely fine going to the dentist--now she's scared and anxious. My 15-year-old has developed dental anxiety as well. That didn't happen by accident. If you're looking for a place that prioritizes patient care, communication, and especially how children are treated, this was not our experience at all. Dr. Boe decided to expand his practice and hire a new dentist to work out of this location. I really had some issues with her. I went some where else for the root canal. She also claimed that I needed to have a deep cleaning where they dig under your gums and it is really expensive and I have heard hurts a lot. She also told this to my husband and a two other friends that went there. I thought really all of us need this so called deep cleaning or you just want more money out of us. I went and had the root canal some where else and started seeing a new dentist, who said my teeth and my husband's were fine and we did not need a deep cleaning.
