Awesome crowd of Bengals Fans making this the best Bengals Bar in Austin, Texas! Who Dey!

Who Dey! Burnside's Tavern is the Best Cincinnati Bengals Bar in Austin, Texas! They roll out the orange carpet for us! The bar is decorated with Bengals flags, banners and inflatable Bengals decorations! The staff is awesome and happy to have us there! They even play the Bengals touchdown song that makes the Game Dey Experience awesome! Who Dey!

DO NOT GO in ThERE!! BEWARE! SCAMMERS! THEY SCAMMED US FOR ALOT OF $$$$!!!! Feb 12, 2025. We had approximately 11 beers and the blonde bartender added a $29 tip on our card. So they stoled approximately $130!!!! The beer was supposed to be $5 a beer. That's what they told us to get us in there. When we questioned her she said it was correct but it was not correct. We have drank in Amsterdam, Belgium, Paris and none of those tabs EVER came out to this much money! Ridiculous!

for context I don't go out much because I work 24/7 but the one time I try to go out & try to have a good time, the bouncer wouldn't let me in because my shoes were dirty/messed up so he judged me on my appearance that's why he wouldn't let me in. Thats just messed up in my opinion. I get it if I my clothes were dirty & it looked like I haven't showered but that's not the case. Places like this discourage me from even having wanting to go out again. That's really messed up & Im not a very confident person to begin with so this just adds to it. Also when i asked the bouncers name he wouldn't give it to me & he said I was harassing when I asked which isn't true I asked 1 time. But I got a picture of him. How is it that his job to judge people based on their looks & how they dress. Thats discrimination at its finest.

Literally zero stars if I could. We were welcomed in by a bouncer as we were deciding where to go. He offered us a drink special for $1/drink. They were playing rigatone and so we decided it would be worth a shot. The atmosphere was cool and felt like it could be a fun time. They overcharged us BIG time. I've been to 6th street dozens of times and have never had this happen, but one of the bartenders must have thought it'd be fine to charge us almost $60 for 2 drinks. I've never paid that much anywhere in Texas, but because we're two girls in our 20 somethings on 6th street at 1:30 AM, they must have thought it was okay to take advantage and charge that much. Not worth it. All the other bars on the same street and around here may have charged $20, max, with the 20% tip included. We literally have been ordering the same drinks and haven't been charged more than that. Ridiculous. 100%, do not come here.

Elegant decor and nice dLoved it! No loud music so you can have a nice chat if you're with someone. Tasty margaritas! Happy hour has amazing deals! And they even have a speakeasy downstairs after 11pm. Can't wait to get back!

I remember Treasure Island from when I snuck into bars in Austin underage. The glory of that pirate bar with the 25 cent drinks. Fast forward some years later and the underage appeal was gone but I managed to pop in there for the cheapeast of drinks occasionally. Since the Yassine brothers' properties were all shut down, we've been anxiously awaiting the new concepts going in those spaces. Burnside is a nod to Admiral Burnside and his portrait, along with other famous American figures (Lincoln, Jefferson) adorn the walls. I'm not sure if they always had that nice brick as I think it was obscured by a giant ship but it looks clean and all growed up. The long bar has hooks underneath it (SCORE) and they've got these very sexy chandeliers. An alternative would be to shut the bright lights down, get better housing for your liquor, embrace the more dignified side of this spot and don't try to straddle the dirty sixth meets bar in Capitol Hill feel. Maybe there's an option to do something classier Sun - Wed and then go back to getting as many patrons as you can in the bar the rest of the downtown nights.

They pull you in for a free drink and then charge you full price. Just be aware. Bartenders were bitching when we told them.

We weren't looking for much by way of menu just a few snacks or small bites for Girl Dinner. We found just that here. The Sumac and pepper popcorn was to die for! I really don't drink that much or often, but decided to have one. The drink list is extensive, but very organized by era. I decided to go for the Zombie. My server, Noah encouraged my audacity! I can't remember whether it was described as dramatic as it showed up, but let me tell you there was drama! It was served in a flaming skull, garnished with beautiful flowers and fresh fruit, and filled to the brim with God knows how much alcohol and juice, but it was a time! To heighten the experience, he sprinkled something in a shaker and the flames just erupted! The whole restaurant stopped and I cackled! To put out the flame, Noah gave one dramatic clap, and the flame disappear disappeared! I want to thank Noah and the team for encouraging my ridiculousness and delivering me an excellent craft drink with all the drama I deserved and could ever ask for! 10/10! Gotta go back to see how much more ridiculous I can go! Can't stop now! Join me!

Once we walked through Manny's, we were greeted right away and since we had a reservation, we were seated promptly. Quick heads up: cell phones aren't allowed inside -- they take your phone and give you a key to a locker where it's stored for the night. The idea is to keep everyone present and engaged with each other instead of their screens (they do make exceptions for emergencies or on-call situations, at the business's discretion). I actually love the reasoning behind it, even though I wished I had my phone to snap pictures of the inside! The space itself is dark and moody with major art deco Miami vibes, like something out of the 80s-90s. Think pink velvet draped everywhere, a life-size taxidermy leopard in the middle of the bar, and flamingo sculptures scattered throughout. It's gorgeous. There's plenty of seating between the booths/couches and the bar, and they seat you according to your party size. We got a plush half-circle booth with a table that fit all of us perfectly -- great sightlines too, so everyone could see and talk to each other easily. Each table gets an assigned server, and ours was fantastic. We ordered cocktails along with the yuca fries, empanadas, and quesadillas -- all delicious. I can't remember the name of my cocktail, but it was pink, gin-based, and so good, served in a beautiful tall stem glass. The guy at the front was very nice, but as soon as we get to the "receptionist" the entire narrative changed. She looked my girlfriend and I up and down and then proceeded to tap multiple times on her IPad. She then says, "you know it's 1:30? we close at 2. we only have standing room." She had the most miserable scowl on her face. My girlfriend and I were dressed very nicely (pants & jacket, and a dress), so I know this was not a outfit issue. I do not know what her issue was, but if you are tired and don't like staying up late, don't work in a bar. After saying that there was only standing room, I decided that I was not going to spend money in an establishment that speaks to people in such a disgusting way, so I proceeded to leave. One of the guys out front asked what was wrong and asked if he could buy us a drink, but at that point I decided that I would not spend a dime at this place. Just giving a heads up! Lady at the front is EXTREMELY rude. Looking at the other 1 star reviews, it looks like this place has a reputation for being discriminatory.
