My Tahoe blew its engine while driving to New York. With over 120,00 miles I was looking at a very expensive repair. Many dealers would have taken advantage of my situation but the staff at burns did the opposite. They were helpful and upfront dealing with my situation. Not intending to make a sale, the service department was more than willing to make the expensive repairs but asked me to consider taking that money and put it into a down payment on a new vehicle. I decided to go ahead with a new vehicle. The sales team was one of the fairest I had ever worked with. Again the new my situation but treated me fairly and found the vehicle I needed, closed the deal and out the door that afternoon. I wish I had a dealer like Burns near my home. We bought a new motor 2025 for our 2013 Chevrolet truck. The motor blew out January 2026. Took it in for warranty and Burns has been working with GM. They tried piecing it together and finally decided to order a new motor after six weeks. The motor came in this week and we are being told now that the holes for the spark plugs are stripped out. They also had to order a new radiator that was damaged when the motor blew out. I contacted GM and between Burns and GM they blamed each other. Both are useless. Burns likes to converse by text. asking about my title & tags on day # 27 I was told my plates will be mailed to me. On Day # 42 I went to the DMV and was told they had nothing from Burns Chevrolet. I was told that they have up to 45 days for my plates on my temporary tag. I contacted the dealer by phone as well as email and I was told that nothing had been done and I would have to a week or more before my plates arrived. I will be unable to drive my vehicle due to the expiration of my temporary tag. There is a law saying that I am supposed to have tags and or title within 45 days. Why does Burns not honor their sales or complete their promises. I tried to file a complaint to the manager was refused to talk or make a complaint to them. I had a wonderful experience the first time I took my daughters Equinox here. The car still needed a shifter assembly, which was on back order. I was told if I found one, they would install it so that is what I did. Dropped the car off on a Monday and was told it was just a couple hour long job. Thursday rolled around and it still wasn't done. I told the advisor I would be out of town until Sunday but please leave the car outside the gate and I would pick it up Sunday morning. When I got there, the car was nowhere to be found and I was told they had to pull it back behind the gate due to new cars being delivered. When I got there Monday morning, I was told the car needed a jump but should re charge as my daughter drove to work. Guess I know why the car wasn't left outside the gate. My daughter drives to work, shuts the car off and the key is stuck in the ignition, the reason we took the car there in the first place. I was told "she didn't drive the car far enough for the battery to re charge and she will probably need a new battery." So, a couple hour long job turned into a 4 day job, I was lied to about why the car wasn't left outside the gate and they allowed my daughter to drive off the lot knowing full well the car needed a battery. She is now stuck at work with a car that not only wont start, but the key is stuck in the ignition. Worst service I have ever had. read more

Got it back and the fob wasn't programmed correctly and it wouldn't start. Note: I drove vehicle to the place to start for body damage. I got text message after text message about how things were needed to be ordered, and how certain dollar amount of work needed to be done. No mention of the actual things that needed to be fixed... just dollar amounts. No ONE kept me updated. I had to email weekly. Calls were NOT returned. Burns Chevrolet. Worse place to buy a car. They sell you lemons. Know they are going to have problems, sell you am extended warranty and offer a lifetime power train warranty. I have had the truck almost 4 years. I have been having issues with it since 6 months after I bought it. They will not honor the warranty. Saying they no longer offer that. But shouldn't that be with the life of the truck? Since you did when I bought it. I have spent over 16, 000 dollars in a little over 3 months rebuilding thevtransmission, rebuilding the motor, new manifold gasket and 2 catalytic converters. For my truck to still not run correctly. Just for the same light to come on two more times. The service department can literally not tell me on why I needed it in the first place. Now they are actively trying to keep my reciepts from me for service so I can show GM and get my money back. Leased a new XT6 from them as they convinced me to trade in my '21 XT6 one month early with a promise to resolve the final month on my previous lease. Me leasing the car from them and leaving that day with it was contingent on that condition... that my final payment goes away. They did not honor that commitment nor will they respond to repeated calls, texts and emails attempting to remedy. Also worth noting, they originally quoted me a price of over $1100 dollars per month. They quickly matched a quote of $825/month that I had gotten at South Charlotte but were clearly attempting to gouge a repeat customer. Stay far away. Nick had the car ready with my name on it, got the prelim paperwork done last night. Tonight we picked up my new Trailblazer, which was prepped and ready....perhaps a half hour doing paperwork and then another 30 minutes or so with Madison who went through the electronics and options. Nick our salesman was tied up so Madison jumped in and helped... This is the way customer service used to be and in Rock Hill SC you can find a dealership who values their customers and has pride in what they do! I will certainly buy from them again. I purchased a 2019 Ram truck, and despite the fact that it is not a GM product, Rodney was very knowledgeable about any vehicle on the lot that I had questions about. I've also had the chance to work with Rob, the Sales Manager. Rob is also fantastic. He is relentless in working out the numbers until you are satisfied with your purchase. The worst dealership I've ever worked with. can't speak for the sales department but the service department is god awful. I've taken my truck there two times and each time has been more frustrating than the previous trip. This recent issue. I had a check engine light come on. so I drive the truck immediately in on Tuesday after making an appointment online for Wednesday morning. it is now Friday and they can't even tell me what the issue is with the truck. every time I call I'm told that the tech will look at it and have an answer shortly....is that not what My ******* appointment was for? you can't even read a code to determine an issue after having a vehicle for 4 days??? I was so disappointed in the Burns Service Center, on a Friday I went to pick up my car after 2 weeks of having them replace the dashboard cluster for me. For a cabin air filter, they said it would be 65 dollars when online one cost between 10-20 dollars. Needless to say they have lost my business just after my first time being there. We were in the market for a new SUV and had no luck finding the new Chevy Suburnans. I had reached out to Burns Chevrolet about 4 months ago and spoken to Eli and was told that they just had sold one buy he would keep in touch if they got any more in stock. Fast forward to this Saturday. Eli gave me a call that they got two in and if I could come in. We have 3 small children so it's alot packing them up for the hour long ride and we already had plans that morning, so he and Jonathan made videos, took pictures, and answered all my questions via phone/email until we could come first thing Monday morning to take the vehicle for a test drive! Eli and Jonathan are hands down an AMAZING duo who go above and beyond! Eli even drove down to where we resided to pickup some documents we needed for the bank so we didn't have to drive back up tomorrow with the baby. We have had nothing but frustration every time we take our car in for service. Every other dealership can get you a problem diagnostic within an hour or two. Burns never communicates on a time frame except to promise a call by the end of the day- which never happens. Then they extend the service by dats ( even with an appointment). We dont have this problem with any of our other car brands. Have had to pick our car up not serviced on several occasions and take it elsewhere. I guess we just need to be done with Burns bc this issue of dragging their feet has NOT improved with time! read more

Horrible Service Department, will never take my vehicle again. First off, I understand that the dealership is in business to make money, however the way my wife and I were recently treated borderlines fraud, misinformation, and downright lies from the service department representatives. We took my wife's vehicle in for some service a while back because the stabilitrack and ABS lights were on intermittently. They ran the code scan and performed repairs saying that the EGR valve can sometimes cause this to happen. So the issue never went away and a month or so later we return to the dealership where they perform another 'diagnostic' to run the code scan which says 'rear right wheelspeed sensor bad' I have the Snapon computer that brought up all the codes. So here is where it happens.... The service rep, David Stone, tells me that the service technician has removed the tire, brakes, and wheel hub assembly saying that the bearing is bad. He explains how the bearing has worn along the taper cones and has damaged the sensor. We 'MUST' replace the wheel bearing hub assembly and the wheel speed sensor he says. A quick search reveals NEW OEM parts from the local parts store are 1/3 of the price the dealership is charging for them. I ask him if he can do any better on prices and he declines saying it is what it is. After all this I take the vehicle home, all while trying to hear this damaged bearing which isn't making a sound. I get the vehicle home and jack it up and test the bearings. There is zero movement and zero noise in the bearing. I removed the tire and low and behold the brakes have not been removed. they are filthy covered in dust, the bolt heads have not been touched by a wrench. The screw that holds the rotor to the hub assembly is packed with some dust too so it has not been removed. The wheel speed sensor screw is filled with dirt/grime and has not been removed. I removed the hub assembly and the wheel speed sensor and the bearing is still packed with white grease. If the bearing was failing it would have metal shavings or other debris from failing roller bearings or dirt/dust from a damaged seal. I had a pay the $135 diagnostic fee, but I still came out $1500+ cheaper than having the STEALERSHIP work on my car. NEVER will I take any vehicle to them again. If you need a reputable, honest, reliable mechanic in the area there are other shops who treat you right, tell you straight up, and are honest with their customers. I don't mind paying for quality service, but this was beyond robbery. I can only recommend that others stay away from this place. read more

An outstanding operation totally customer focused. They are GM's representative for Buick in Rock Hill, SC. Took wife's Buick Enclave for service on a "noise." Service rep was superb. He had us wait while he checked warranty information and bingo, there was one and it related to the upcoming repair. We went to breakfast and when we returned he took me back to meet with the mechanic who would do the work. The two of them explained what they would be doing and I got it. Rep gave me an estimate and said it would be tomorrow, so we went home. Received a call late in the day, too late to pick it up, that the car was ready and that the estimate was revised downward by about 20% since they now had firm figures on the actual work done and time it took. Next morning we were back. Met again with the rep and the mechanic to go over what was done. Have never had such interest in explaining the situation at any dealer for my 50 years of driving life! Cashier was friendly, like a neighbor, rather than a cold officious bean-counter. Rep was with me through the payment and walked my wife and I out to her car. It had been thoroughly vacuumed and washed. We were both very impressed. Leaving happy we know that we will not hesitate to return to Burn's Chevrolet and to recommend them, as we are now, to others. read more

It literally took then 4 months to complete my car which they did not it had to be taken to Cadillac of South Charlotte by the way is the absolute best place if you own a Cadillac! Several cases throughout the process we came to pick up the car and something else was wrong!! They racked up my insurance and could not finish the job properly. We had been through rentals and there own rentals! Questions where not answered but with ai don't know what else to "do", .. And this was just with getting the paint color correct! Previous visit they were supposed to fix a vibration, which they did. When I got home,I opened the hood because I was smelling something like burnt oil. Sure enough, there was oil sprayed all over, they left the oil fill cap off and it made a mess under the hood. Seems pretty basic, you take something off, you put it back on, ESPECIALLY the oil fill cap that keeps the lifeblood (oil) in my engine. Next visit replaced the A/C compressor under warranty, but the technician that replaced it, broke the locking tab off the power connector that pushes into the compressor. The A/C compressor would shut off randomly. Finally opened up the hood and checked the connector and it had completely fallen out the socket and I then saw the locking tab was broke. On the positive side, they did replace the hood liner that had been soiled with oil due to them leaving the oil filler cap off on my previous service visit. They also fixed the vibration/rough engine idle that I was having. The body shop also repaired a section of the exterior paint where the trunk lid had rubbed against the body. When I went to pick the vehicle up, the manager of the shop came out and told me he wasn't happy with the results and to bring it back again and they would fix it. Doesn't someone inspect the work BEFORE they tell the customer to come pick up the car? My Camaro is back in the shop as of yesterday, getting the A/C connector replaced and the trunk repair redone by the body shop. Let's hope they get it right after my fourth visit. Not once was a loaner car available for use, so I've had to pay out of pocket for a taxi each time I've dropped the car off. read more

Brandon was excellent with his sales information and help. He gave us time alone to discuss the purchase and our interest. Very pleasant experience. He even suggested a good place nearby for lunch. My only issue was that as I drove home, OnStar told me my tires were low. They were in the low 20s, instead of where they should have been inflated. I went back the next day to have them checked. Also there were some smears on the windows. Adam - on my return visit - went over a lot of the details on working the car. It is a challenge! (It was much easier to work the old-fashioned car I traded in, but I am learning. The new-fangeled gadgets do not really make it easier on us older folks. I can work a computer easily but the car can be frustrating!) My experience with Burns Caddy was a good one overall. read more

Was having trouble with Chevrolet I purchased at this location. They were only interested in talking to me if I wanted to buy a new car, otherwise the woman receptionist was quite rude. I ended up using the service center attached to this dealership where they kept my car from Thursday to Monday without calling me once, or returning calls after the 4 messages I left. They did talk to my husband, and even called him once it was ready - this was crazy because we were not married when I purchased the car, thus he is not listed anywhere as an owner. Even though I sent a message to the managers about the incredibly poor treatment I received, I've yet to receive any sort of call or apology. And I'm not impressed that the vehicle needed major repairs before hitting 36,000 miles - the antifreeze had started leaking into the hvac system. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

I had bought a used car from this dealership in August of 2019, and within the first day of having the car i noticed there was something on the touch screen display, when i pulled it off i noticed a crack in the screen. I brought this back to the dealership the following day to bring light to this and Multiple other damages I found including a dented rear gate and Driver side Back door. The Salesman and "Inspector" both blamed me for the damages to the car and said that I was just stressed over the cost of the Car, which is problem Number 2. When discussing the purchase of this car they told me that to meet my needs they would drop the price, and add a 100,000 Mile, 5 Year warranty to the vehicle including bumper to bumber full body Coverage, electronics included. Well after Multiple phone calls to GM and the dealership they said they have no record of any such warranty, and although I have a witness (co-signer) who was there as I signed multiple documents of that agreed warranty, they never gave them to me and now have no memory of the warranty, which brings me to problem 3. During the sales transaction the Sales representative was pushy and had a distressed tone when i had asked to read any of the paperwork, followed with a remark of "its late, Im hungry and I want to go" from the Rep. Which to me resembles horrible salesmanship, and i was a salesman myself. Not only that but he had rushed me out with an envelope full of signed documents he chose to put in. As a customer how am I supposed to know what documents he was required to hand me. On top of that, now the dealership says that the 2 people involved in selling me that car no longer work there. After countless headaches and phone calls with GM I have gotten absolutely 0 help from either party. Final issue, before pitching to me that specific car the salesman had mentioned something about the vehicle not being registered to the dealership yet, and proceeded to rush me on the idea of buying it. when i started to feel pressured and tried to turn it down with more time to think he started throwing all this talk of Warranties, Protections plans and Price drops. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody, nor would i recommend GM cars in general as their customer service is incredibly unreliable and unhelpuful. If I could rate lower I would. read more

I called before stopping there to have my car worked on because someone hit me from the back. Since it was the others drivers fault I was using their insurance to have the repair paid for. I looked up on the insurance company's website to see their approved providers and this one was fairly close to me. I called and the young lady on the phone as extremely helpful. She told me to ask for Jeff since he handled the State Farm claims. She said it would be quick because he would need to take pictures and order parts and then schedule me for another day to come in and fix the vehicle. Well I took the friendly lady's advice since she said they close at 530p I got off of work early and arrived at 5p. Now is when this story changes. I stepped in the body shop office and was greeted by a warm and kind gentleman. I told him I was directed to ask for Jeff and gave him a run down of the phone conversation I had. He warmly pointed at Jeff and from there things got interesting. Jeff either is not friendly or was having a bad day because the warmth ended at Jeff. He abruptly asked me if I had paperwork and had a tone that was not welcoming or helpful. I felt as though he really either was having a bad day or needs more customer service training. I was after all there to patronize this establishment and o yeah I do have choices. . Well good news is they did do a great job on the repair and I could not pick up the vehicle so my wife did. She said everyone there had a kind and helpful tone. So maybe he was having a bad day. read more

I took my Silverado in for an oil change on Saturday 4/24. When I got in the truck when they were done the main display was not working. It was working when I arrived. I went back to the Service lane to show them. They disconnected the battery for a few minutes to see if that would re-set the system. That did not work. They scheduled me to come back in Monday morning 4/26. Well, they 'fixed' the issue, claiming it was a loose connection. They said I owed them $143.00. I objected to owing them since 1.) the display was fine when I brought the truck in Saturday, and was not working after they serviced the truck. They denied having even been in that area of the vehicle, but it strains credibility that it was just a coincidence that the loose connection occurred at the very same time as their service, and 2.) I have the service plan that I payed a lot of money for, but they said it would not cover this since no parts were actually replaced. They told me this morning, when I pointed out that the small display right behind the steering wheel had been used, as it was on a different screen than I always have it on, that the technician had to use that to reset after the oil change. Great...so did the technician not notice that 15 inches away, the main display was dark? When he drove it out of the service bay to park it, did he not notice the main screen was dark. Aren't these technicians trained to look for things like this and report them? Instead I have to report it and bring the truck back and pay money to have it fixed. Something stinks - very easy for a technician to purposely loosen the connection. I have no proof. Unfortunately I have heard of so many cases reporting the same type of issue and I feel like I'm being scammed. This seems to be service fraud and I'm very disappointed that I trusted this dealership with my business. I don't think that I want to come back or recommend this place to anybody. read more
