We had tried a few other car dealerships and were told "due to your short length of time on the…read morejob, you're going to get a NO where every you go" I work contract, make well above average income, at Crown, they looked at me as a person, the fact that I've been doing the same job for 22 years (on contract) not the amount of time I was at this particular company on contract. Before we even set foot on the car lot, I had sent in all my documentation (Drivers Licence, Proof of income, residence etc.), Brian and John (I think that's the right name) checked my information, interviewed me for the loan and had an approval amount before even getting there. Although we chose a car we absolutely loved from the internet pictures, it happened to be about $4,000.00 more than our approval, but they worked with us, our down was only $500.00 more than for something in our approval amount, we received a much lower interest rate than expected. They deal with people from all walks of life, from those making minimum wage to those making over $150k a year...no matter what your situation, you're not brought in with a false sense of what you're approved for then sent to what I call the "Dog Pound" of ratty cars, you know up front before even going what you're approved for and are given a choice of late model, quality vehicles (in our case we were determined to get the one we fell for). Brian had the car we were interested in waiting for us when we showed up, handed us the keys for a test drive and when we returned, it was a matter of getting the car on our insurance, signing the paperwork, paying the downpayment and we were on our way!!! You will be treated with the respect and integrity you deserve, nothing hidden like 99% of the car dealers out there. Everybody was friendly, they make you feel like family, they're professional and don't pull anything over your eyes... If you're looking for a car, bottom of the barrel horrible credit or top of the chart excellant credit, you're going to get awesome treatment... I recommend this dealer (with multiple lots to pull from) 150%... If I could give them 10 Stars instead of 5... I would...

I wish that I had read the Yelp reviews on this dealership before I bought a car . I haven't had to…read morefinance the car in 25 years because I buy most of mine outright . Well I started my own business and I had to have a reliable car so I figured I'd give financing a shot . I walked in there and the salesman pressured me so hard I literally felt like there was no other chance if I didn't buy this car . He told me this car was a one owner car, that turned out to be Avis Rental Car. 9 months after I bought the car I had to install a new transmission. There were a few electrical issues that started 3 months after I bought the car. My high beams stopped working and the recall did not include my vehicle I sucked it up because it was my fault for not doing my due diligence. Anyway, I had to fix a few things but after the trans was fixed, she did pretty well. 3 weeks ago, because a deer just had to jump across the road, I side swiped a bridge to avoid it. Can't help instincts. So I still owe on this car and, of course, insurance didn't cover the full amount owed. I figure maybe with the measly 7 grand they decided my car was worth, I might be able to pay off what was left and just get a salvage title. The engine and trans are fine. Its mostly just cosmetic. I call Kia Finance only to be told I signed a contract (READ IT ALL OR HAVE A LAWYER DO IT) that help.me accountable for the entire contract. There was no buy out available unless I paid the remainder in the car which was about another 8 grand. I know I was naive but talk about a predatory company. I had never heard of paying all the finance charges if you paid it off early. Definitely many lessons learned on this adventure. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE. I get that car salesman are there to make money but what that man sold me was just outright lies and I was ignoring enough to fall for it . Do not do what I did. Make sure that you will always read the final print when it comes to paying off your car early. When the transmission went out a few months later I actually called the dealership looking for the salesman so that I could give him a piece of my mind. Lo and behold he no longer had a job there. Had I seen these helps reviews, I'd have never picked that dealership. When I called to find out old boy was let go, I explained the situation and they told me it was my problem and they weren't responsible. Dude outright lied to me about the history, terms and conditions, or anything else. Predators. End of rant

Purchased a used car before photos were even uploaded to the website. My salesperson, Steven, was…read moreeasygoing, responsive, and never pushy. He made the buying process smooth and never made my questions feel like an inconvenience. The issues began at pickup a few days later after the vehicle was certified and roof racks were installed. The very next day, the Bluelink app showed a maintenance notification. I contacted Steven, who quickly brought it to the service team. I was told it was likely just a test and not to worry unless a check engine light appeared. That didn't sit right, so I contacted Bluelink directly and was told this was not normal and should not be ignored. When I relayed this back to service, I was told I could bring the car in, but without a warning light nothing would show, and the notification was "in the cloud." A week later, after heavy rain, water began dripping from the interior roof near the sunroof controls and rearview mirror, soaking the center console. I reported it immediately and was initially told to wait a few days, though they got me in the next day. I had to drive 45 minutes and was given a smaller, lower-trim loaner that barely fit my car seat. When I raised concerns, a sales manager (Tim) blamed the situation on the salesperson for not escalating sooner rather than taking accountability. In a later conversation, he also contradicted himself--after previously acknowledging my need for space, he told me he never said I'd be put in a comparable vehicle and claimed I was remembering incorrectly. That interaction was frustrating and unprofessional, especially seeing a new employee blamed instead of supported. Service later said the issue was a clogged drain and returned the car, but the maintenance notification remained. I was told to "give it a few days," and also told the GM would be reaching out--something that never happened. Soon after, during more rain, I noticed water inside the windshield. I contacted Steven again and he responded immediately. This time, I was told a rental would be brought to me and my car taken in for a specialist. Initially, I was again assigned a smaller vehicle until I pushed back and spoke with management. After a frustrating experience, I escalated further and connected with the service manager, Tony, who was professional, took accountability, and corrected the situation by providing a comparable vehicle and consistent updates. The dealership ultimately found a leak requiring additional work and kept my car into the following week. When the repair was complete, the maintenance notification was finally cleared, though communication around it remained inconsistent. I was also told conflicting information about whether my car would be returned to me or if I needed to pick it up. Throughout all of this, Steven and Tony were the only consistently positive parts of the experience--both responsive, professional, and willing to help. However, I never received a call from the general manager, despite being told I would, which spoke volumes about customer care at that level. Overall, I would be cautious purchasing from Fort Mill Hyundai. The sales experience was smooth, but once issues arose, it became difficult to get clear answers or accountability. I would absolutely work with Steven again, but not at this dealership. As a family with multiple Hyundai vehicles, this experience ensures we will not be returning here for future purchases.
