This shop added a fraudulent supplies charge to my last service and did not give me credit for one of the benefits that I was entitled to despite having it on my sales receipt. I left a review on Google and they said they would get back to me. They have not gotten back to me. Do not use this shop because they will charge you for supplies that they will not list. Essentially, it is just a fraudulent upcharge. I've given them an opportunity to get right with me but despite replying to a previous post where they asked me to send them an email to a particular email address, they have not reached out or credited me for the fraudulent service charge which I was told I would be getting from their corporate financial management division. I've been using AAA since so long ago, I can't recall when I started, maybe in 1978 or 79. It was a benefit through a company I worked for at the time. When I left that company, I continued my membership even though it was coming out of my pocket. I never really used it a whole lot until 1990 to 1994. My wife at the time was absent minded, forgetful, ADD, Bi-Polar, maybe all the above. She could not remember to fill her tank with gas and was letting the tank run dry two to three times a month. When the tank wasn't running dry, she was locking her keys in the car, maybe a couple of times a month. AAA was always there for us. I had a recent situation which required vehicle lock out and battery recharge. I called at 7am on a Tuesday morning and the guy, TP was there at 930a. He took care of everything and was done by 1030a and did a great job. It's well worth the monthly subscription. read more

So this is my second visit, this time it was for a simple oil change on my newer vehicle. I was excited to see the awesome associate I met on my first visit but unfortunately, JC was SO RUDE this time... I came in cheerful, expecting to have a pleasant experience like my first visit with JC I mean it's Friday and I have an appointment so this shouldn't be an issue where you should feel the need to be rude to me. Also, when does an oil change take 90 minutes? The website itself says "up to" one hour yet this man said "at least 90 minutes because of the strenuous procedures they do instead of jiffy lube he said. I probably wouldn't be so upset if he didn't rudely try to not explain but in an argumentive tone literally, talk at me. Customer service is a very important aspect in a workplace, the oil change only took 45 minutes so clearly, he isn't aware of the company website, usually, the times this takes per customer, or how to approach someone with a humble attitude...I see training needed. It's a shame because my original experience was great! All in all, I checked my fluids and everything once I got my car back and everything was up to par. I enjoyed the text with photos and all. Only three stars and not 1 or 2 because I'm not going to judge a whole company off one bad egg. We will try once more for my next oil change..fi gets crossed. read more

I arrived at AAA in Fort Mill SC for an oil change. I gave the girl at the desk my key and wheel lock. A few minutes later, a guy came to get her. It looked suspicious, so I followed, they were in my trunk (for what?) I gave them what they needed. I asked her why were they in my trunk, she lied and said they were looking for the wheel lock. My car is loaded for an upcoming camping trip. At that point, I didn't trust them; so, I cancelled the service before it started and left...the girl had just been fussed out by an angry customer who claimed she was cheated and wanted her money back. Before this, I visited AAA in Indian Land SC, I thought that I found a great place to take my car however, the girl that picked me up and dropped me off decided to share with me about the unscrupulous acts performed there. How they exaggerate the condition of your vehicle or pretend something is more urgent than it is. At AAA a technician showed me a dirty cabin filter full of leaves. I left and went to Auto Zone and had it changed. I watched as the young man removed the CLEAN cabin filter. used this location to book a special European 14 day vacation to celebrate my son's graduation from college and regretted it. There were multiple issues that they could have done more to assist with and were not proactive in helping. So if you are booking a simple vacation use them but if it's a complex vacation don't bother. They did not do anything more than I could have done for myself. Dont expect anyone to answer the phone when you call, they only return voicemails a couple days later. Will not ever use them again. read more

I just bought for the first time in my life a car from an individual that I did not know. I've always bought my car through a dealership or have my dad handle it for me. When I looked under the hood of the vehicle but I was thinking about buying I saw that it had a AAA sticker on the battery. I called my AAA agent, Jamie D at the Highway 160 location and he ran all the background detail for me. They were able to pull years worth of service records and found that the oil has been changed quite regularly. He even gave me bluebook value on the vehicle and told me the price that I was being asked was actually very fair. I'm extremely grateful for his help! read more

Alex Krnic of AAA did a phenomenal job managing our 2 back-to-back claims during COVD and the worker shortage!! We had two claims that happened right after each other, both for water damage. We brought our claims to my AAA agent Alex Krnic and he handled both of them. This was a difficult time for many organizations (because of COVID and the worker shortage), but Alex was wonderful. I always had my calls picked up or answered quickly. I was never left hanging. Finding a restoration company that had really good reviews to do the repair work was difficult. I found that companies that had a history of good reviews were now not operating because the owner had COVID or were recently having terrible reviews. I wanted our damage fixed well. We ended up using a restoration company that had shown us that they do very good work (our plumber recommended them when our house had the first leak and they dried the house out) even though they were known to be expensive. Reading their reviews, people mentioned paying more than their insurance allowed because they wanted quality. Knowing they were expensive, AAA still worked with them. They were able to negotiate the price down to what they would pay and the appraiser they sent out showed us ways we could bring the price way down by refusing services we didn't want. For example, our restoration company usually packs up all the belongings and furniture in the rooms that need to be worked on and then takes it to their warehouse---this is a big money maker for them. They wanted 15K to pack up and store our kitchen and move a few couches, but we didn't even want this. The appraiser pointed out that we had plenty of room in undamaged parts of our house and we thought storing our things in other rooms and our large garage was a much better plan. Since our house was worked on from February until July and we lived in our house for all this time except for two weeks, we were glad to still have my kitchen stuff--they would have packed up everything in my pantry! BTW, the reason it took so long to get the work done was because of the worker shortage. In brief here is what AAA did for us: --always answered or quickly returned calls and emails --worked with a company known for charging high rates and finding ways to get their prices down --used Barker Claims Service to appraise the damage which actually handled the negotiations with the restoration company --when we were due money it was sent immediately --everyone was really nice and seemed to really care about what we were going through Something to know about AAA home insurance that surprised me: While AAA negotiates the amount contractors can charge you, they do not pay the contractor. When work was done on our house we had to pay the contractor deposits and our deductibles. We were given a check to pay for 60% of the work once an agreement was made for the price, but we did not receive a check for that last 40% until all the work was finished. Something to note, you could use the money and complete the repairs yourself. However, in order to recover the last 40% an appraiser would be sent out to see if you completed all the repairs. My understanding is that there are some insurance companies that work directly with the contractor and the client only has to pay the deductible. Also, there may be companies that handle that last 40% differently. If you don't have the funds to handle that you might want to ask your agent about this. read more

Excellent customer service! As a female going to a mechanic is always intimidating. It's hard to know who to trust. Not to mention we are fairly new to the area and don't know any mechanics. I received a AAA flyer in the mail for a discount on oil change and tires. I have always trusted AAA. It was great to see we have a Car Care Center here in Fort Mill. I stopped in without an appointment to see if they could squeeze me in. Once entering the office, I was greeted by 2 friendly employees that directed me to the Auto Care department. At the Auto Care counter, I was greeted by Matt Moeller, Facility Manager. He was able to squeeze me in for an oil change and service along with a tire check. While waiting I was offered coffee and water. The waiting area has a very nice seating area and work tables with charging ports and outlets. They also have Free Wi-Fi to help pass the time. Unfortunately, Matt brought me the news I needed tires. He brought me a quote and was honest about the conditions of my tires, which I knew where in need of replacing. He was able to present to me various options that would be cost along with promotional discounts. He said he would not charge for items if I didn't need them. He ordered the tires, which came in a few hours later and asked me to come back at a convenient time for me. During my waiting time I was offered refreshments several times. All the staff I interacted with were friendly. Matt went above and beyond to make my wait and purchase pleasant and less painful. We will be back and this will be our families go to place from now on. If you don't have a reliable trustworthy mechanic, you must try AAA Carolina - Fort Mill Car Care Center. They will impress you.
