I was recommended Caliber from a friend and took my car in for an insurance estimate. they required my insurance agency to set up the appointment so it was VERY CLEAR that it was for an estimate to get approval through insurance. they then sent the estimate directly to my insurance company. my insurance company then contacted me that it was a total loss. without authorization from my insurance company, Caliber started taking my car apart without permission. I only knew when I was notified through an automatic text. when I called to ask questions on this, the supervisor blamed ME. he then lied, threw my stepfather under the bus and said that he had signed paperwork approving the work and that "the appointment was made for bodywork not for an estimate" Complete lies and gaslighting because they either made a mistake or are sleezeballs. I would never, ever send anyone here. read more

I took my vehicle to this location to get repair, when I got it back, 2 of my sunglasses and money was stolen from my glove compartment. Make sure if you go here, DONT LEAVE belongings in glove compartment. Worse service ever. Just don't go here. read more

Never used a body shop before, I'm trying to be fair with the review. After a small accident in my driveway my wife damaged the bumper cover and windshield wipers water reservoir, we ask "South Charlotte Nissan" to recommend us a good body shop, they recomend us caliber collision across the street. They repaired in about 3 days and replaced the bumper cover, the problem was an abnormal gap between fender and bumper, and everyday with vibrations appears bigger. We took the vehicle back to shop and they fix it, we ask them if the bumper was OEM, course is OEM they reply, but for me is not, the plastic looks thinner and flimsy, the very next day the bumper starts to separate from fender again, they told me the bumpers doesn't fit perfect cause the diferent molds they are made . Also we notice driving at night the head lights were aiming crooked. A few days ago my wife call them for fix the problems and took the vehicle there, vehicle came better so far (I hope they didn't use bunch of screws to hold bumper in place), now the steering wheel came with a big chewed piece. Caliber Collision located at 8520 Hankins Rd They had my vehicle for 8 weeks and during that time I received text messages updating me on the repairs. The last text said that they were nearing completion to the repairs. One week later I received a call from Geico(the company covering the cost) telling me my vehicle status was changed to "total loss". I couldn't except going from nearing completion to total loss so I asked my insurance company(The Hartford) to take over the claim and moved my vehicle to another location where the repairs completed. Caliber Collision increased the repair cost to an amount that the insurance company changed my vehicle status to total loss. Proven to be false. read more

Very bad experience at this Caliber in particular. Slow service with little to no communication throughout the process. I had to show up multiple times throughout the process to ask about the progress on my vehicle because anytime I called I got vague information. I felt continually disrespected by not only Rodney (the guy managing my cars repairs) and management who I had to ask for multiple times. I would never recommend anyone to bring their car here. My car was with this particular location for over a month & then the day after I got it back I had to call AAA because my car wouldn't start (I had left town for work or I would've called Caliber). After finding out that the "terminals on the battery were loose" & having AAA fix that, I brought the car back to Caliber and they did not honor their lifetime guarantee on their work. In summary I'd just like to say this, if you're looking for an honest, professional, fast body shop -- this place is not for you. read more

Driving on I77 a rock got kicked up by a semi and hit the moonroof on my Rav 4, shattering it to bits, and we are 9 hours from home! The folks at Caliber jumped in to get the shattered glass out and slap some crash wrap on it so that we can get home safely, and without rain coming in. My goodness where do I even begin. I had my car rear ended back in 2018 by a some teenage chick on her phone. My insurance had taken me to these guys and after my first visit I was so baffled. Their head manager who had overlooked my cars repair had kept stalling and telling me that it would be ready by so and so date. As I digress this date was getting pushed back constantly. I had to visit this place a total of about 6 or 7 times to make sure all things were straight and if progress was made. Car was hit in December and I got my car back in February. This is too long for a simple bumper swap and fender bender. Results of the vehicle after getting it back were subpar. Would not recommend this specific location. Just had these folks replace a door on a Toyota Highlander. You can't tell it was ever repaired. The paint match is perfect. My vehicle was handled by Tiffany, she did a superb job. They kept me updated on progress at all times. I am giving an enthusiastic 5 stars. read more

At first I was extremely impressed after taking my car here to get my back bumper fixed because they detailed my car and did a great job. My car has a small stripe down the side that couldn't be put on right after a new paint job, so I was told to schedule a second appointment, about a week later but it would only take a couple minutes. At my second appointment, they just then realized they didn't have the correct stripe color. Why they didn't realize this the first time around, not sure. I was then told they would order the stripe and someone would come to my job to put it on. It's been about 3 weeks now and I haven't heard anything, so I call, was told I would receive a phone call by 10am that morning, but no phone call so I decide to follow up at 4pm, STILL no answers. read more

I am not sure if the people giving positive reviews work for this place or if all of the employees who helped them and did good work have been fired. Worst experience ever. I had a gimme. Not even needing a bid. They had the job. Couldn't get them to call me back or resolve the issue. A very "entitled" receptionist laughed when I said I called 11 times, looking for the same person, then transferred me to vm. For the 12th time. This place is an absolute joke. Had my car repaired there recently after a pretty bad rear end incident. Not only was I kept up to speed with text messages regularly, but I also received phone calls to update me on my car's status. Drew was specifically the person handling my car and he was professional, courteous and friendly. The girls at the front desk are also very sweet (Anna is who I dealt with). My car was ready the day I was told it would be. When I got in my car, I noticed they had also cleaned the entire interior for me. Do not go there. Had my car repaired after hitting a deer. It took them three times to attempt to get things right. I'm still finding things wrong with the trim, paint and overspray on the glass. This is a body and detail shop, but they do not have any attention to detail. It was much better when B&R was there and I assumed it would be as good. I was wrong. Also don't leave anything in your car that can be stolen. They have a sign that states, "We are not responsible for any items left in your automobile." Well, believe it, because all I had was some loose change in the cup holder and sure enough it was taken. I assumed that nobody would disturb a small amount of change, but guess there's a crook everywhere you go. If you can't trust small items like change in your car, then don't trust them to repair your car either. read more

By far the BEST auto repair experience I've encountered in my 60 years. This was a HUGH repair. A brand new 2015 Lexus RX350 with less than 4K miles, involved in an accident with damages to the vehicle estimated to be greater than 30K. The staff at Caliber Collision- South Blvd., Charlotte led by David, immediately took ownership of the repair project. From start to finish they exhibited a superior Customer Satisfaction approach. I was terrified to see what my car would look like after they painted 1/2 of the drivers side. .. when I went to pick it up I was shocked. You absolutely could not tell. They buffed the rest of the side so the new paint and old paint matched. I've never been so pleased with the outcome in an impossible situation they made it happen.
