Was lucky enough to try their food when they set up shop in a local neighborhood down in Mission Viejo. Ordered their "Hulk" - a double cheeseburger with their signature Burning Bun spread, a Grilled Chicken Wrap and an order of truffle fries. I had their siracha burger which was flavorful and obviously made of quality ingredients. So why the low rating? The low rating is because at $10 for a smaller than average burger it is a bad value. G Burger uses ingredients of similar quality and serves you a burger so big you have to cut it in half to eat it. I usually have my doubts about food trucks because the food can either be hit or miss and it's usually pretty expensive. I stopped by here when it was at Bottle Logic to give it a shot because, well it was the only food truck there. I ordered the chicken salad wrap and the Cuban with bacon. The salad wrap had a spinach tortilla and was filled with a really fresh mixed variety of what looked like spinach, lettuce, and mixed greens. It was by far the best salad wrap I've ever had. The taste was incredible and the freshness of the entire thing with bits of chicken was outstanding. I kept putting it down in my car saying "ok I think I'm done" only to find myself picking it up for another bite. And then the Cuban sandwich. It was packed with really tender pieces of pork and the bacon was a very thick cut and crispy. The bread was perfectly grilled and didn't get soggy when I ate it later because so asked for the bread to be extra grilled. (Gotta do that with any sandwich). I decided on the namesake Burning Bun (fire roasted peppers + chipotle sauce) with grilled onion and no pickles. I only had one issue with this burger -- when they say "thick-cut tomato", they mean it. I ended up removing it for the last few bites because it was taking away from the other BANGIN flavors of the burger. The meat was among the best I've ever had -- so juicy and tender. You can tell they start with quality meat and handle it with care. The cheese was also noticeably of high quality, and that super soft and fluffy brioche, praise be to Jesus. The fries were also delicious; make sure you sample the dipping sauces (I liked the fancy pants). read more

I was looking over the menu and the man told me about their special, an Italian beef sandwich and how they marinated and cooked it slow for six hours. The truck showed up at our apartment building tonight. I had $11 Southerner. Flavor it's really good throughout and ingredients taste fresh. Downside is it is too wet so the bread fell apart at the bottom and had to finish it with a fork. Husband had $12 Cubano and he says it is the thinnest Cubano he ever had and the bread was soggy instead of toasty. There were a lot of pickles on it so maybe pickles soaked it. He said it's the worst Cubano he ever had, but that is probably a little overstated. The flavor was good, it just was too little meat & cheese on wet bread to warrant a $12 price. I feel it's a little pricey. The price is for sandwich only. Fries adds $4 or so to the bill. read more

My Company hired this food truck today and I have to say it was a really good choice. The only downside was that we waited for a food a little longer than what we expected however, this was beyond their control. When the food truck arrived at our company they were surprised with a big order for our Consumer Service department, lucky Consumer Service Department that were the first ones to enjoy Burning Buns Delicious Burgers.
