Pappy Cigar - $19
Joe S.

I was excited to find a cigar bar downtown where I could hang out with a few friends after dinner. It's a great way to thin the crowd a bit. This place seemed inviting, however, the service was non-existent. It was actually kind of busy and the bar was full (not packed). Many of the sections were roped off so there was juts one table open near the front of the store. We sat there with no table service at all. They could have made some money from us but nope. Other than the guy at the front door who was just "find a seat" and not helpful at all, and the guy in the cigar shop, who was one of the few helpful people in assisting with the cigar purchase and cutting of the cigar. He offered to light it, but that's half the fun, so I declined. Apparently, the bartenders have lighters too but I couldn't find a place to sneak in and get the cigar lit and also buy a drink. Luckily, someone in my party had a lighter so I just used that and hung out. A drink would have been nice, but not necessary. After this place, we went to a few more bars in the area where they actually served their customers. What a novel idea, right?

I can't say enough about the care and professionalism of the team running events and catering at Burn. From start to finish, organizing a private event felt easy and seamless. They were thoughtful, patient, and attentive to every detail-especially in ensuring our vegan guest of honor was fully accommodated all while working with us to stay within budget. Even on a busy night like Thanksgiving Eve, we felt genuinely well cared for. While cigars aren't usually my thing, the classy atmosphere and exceptional service left a lasting impression, and makes me want to return! Many thanks to Colin and the entire team for such a wonderful experience!!!

My brother and I smoked perdomo Cigars. Comfortable seating areas. They had a band playing. Awesome place!

Amazing spot with amazing Tobacconists and Bartenders! On a busy night they rocked the house! Love to see it!!!

I met some girlfriends at Burn for a girls night. All of the seating inside (besides the bar) is reservation (and up charge) only. However the patio is first come, first served. It was a beautiful night out so we decided to sit outside. The bartender outside was really attentive and friendly. The space itself is beautiful and very spacious. Even though it's a cigar bar, it doesn't smell overwhelmingly like smoke which is a plus. I think Burn is a chill spot to enjoy some drinks and/or a cigar and listen to some live music. It's right in the north shore so you're right in the middle of all of the action which is also nice!

Welp! Another great night for the books for this Illy Philly! Burn by Rocky Patel is an experience and one tou should try at least once! I have to say that I had a phenomonal time. I'm not a smoker of any kind, but I tried a cigar and felt kinds cool and pretty fly smoking my cigar and having a drink. This is not a restaurant, but they do serve bar foods. Their Cigar list is pretty nice so I went with a little Vanilla Cigar with Espresso undertones and, well....I'm still not a smoker, but the experience was really superb. He explained the cigars in great details, helped us understand the process of choosing a cigar, and really treated us beautifully. The music was spun by a DJ and he really killed. The vibe was nice all night and I got to experience great service, great drinks, great conversation and even some dancing. All in all I am definitely coming back for more. Go check them out.

The whole space-themed concept makes it feel like an experience, not just a night out. The vibes are fun, a little quirky, and perfect if you want something outside the usual bar scene. The drinks are delicious, creative, and honestly just as cool to look at as they are to drink. Definitely one of those places I'd go back to again. When we walked in, the host greeted us right away, asked for our name, and seated us pretty quickly. There were actually a good amount of open seats, so I am not sure reservations were completely necessary, but it was still nice to have one. I honestly expected the inside to feel more extravagant and space themed, almost like an outer space vibe with more visual elements and atmosphere. I was hoping for something more immersive and futuristic. It was still cool overall, just not quite as visually dramatic as I imagined. We ordered an espresso martini and the Kiwi Nova. I really enjoyed my drink, especially after talking with the host who explained that they use scientific processes for their cocktails along with fresh purées and fresh ingredients. That is something I really appreciate because I am not a fan of drinks made with a lot of simple syrup or fake additives. He loved his espresso martini and said it was one of the best he has had. My drink was definitely on the sweeter side and I feel like too much of it might lead to a hangover, but it was still really good. Our server was attentive at first, but later on we ended up waiting a while to order another round. After sitting for a bit, we decided to order through the hostess instead and she got us taken care of right away. Overall, it was a cool experience mainly for the drinks. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. Service was okay, and I am not sure if we will return, but I am glad we finally got to check it out.

Whenever I tell people that it's basically a pub with great sushi they are truly befuddled but everything here works (and is extremely delicious) I've had numerous things from the menu but I always go back to the steak sandwich. There are a few staple drinks but I love to have a bar tender make whatever they're feeling. I've had some fun nights with complete strangers while watching Pen's games. This is the place to be.

I've heard so many mixed things that I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed every aspect of my experience. It kind of has dive bar vibes but the food and drink options are definitely on the elevated side. They open at 4 on Sundays and I got there around 4:15. It was already pretty busy (and by the time I was leaving, every single table and bar stool were occupied). They have standard booth seats along the windows, hightop tables in the middle and bar seating along the bar that curves along the back of the restaurant. I chose to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I was promptly greeted by the bartender. They don't hand you copies of the menu, you have to scan the QR code to access. It is easy to read and follow with sections for drinks, specials (this time they were Wicked themed as a nod to the show at the Benedum) and a sushi section. I ordered the street corn dip. The chips were a bit overcooked and the dip was just OK. I thought it was pricey for what you got. The star of my meal, though, was the patty melt. It had the burger, a bacon jam, caramelized onions and was absolutely delicious! It was served with fries. I considered ordering sushi but wasn't sure what to expect. The patrons sitting on either side of my ordered rolls and they were a nice size and looked delicious, so that is something I would consider ordering in the future. It was a place I'll likely be back to because of the proximity to the theater (although their prices definitely reflect that). Just note how crowded it always is and give yourself plenty of time if you plan on heading here for dinner before the show.

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The drinks are definitely crafted with care and have a lot of complexity, but with only two bartenders working, it took quite a while to get ours. Not the place to go if you want quick service or are grabbing a drink before another event. My biggest downside is the price point--most cocktails are around $17. They're good, but at that price I can really only justify having one. Note: They do not have food, just snacks like peanuts. Cocktails were made surprisingly quick even on a busy night. Everything is just really great about this place.
