I cannot believe I did not review this place! I realized when I went to look this place up again and did not see my review! When we visited Pittsburgh, Blend was as not planned and we were not even aware of this place! We happened to stumble upon this place when searching for back up plans. We arrived earlier in the evening and there might have been 2 other people in the entire place, which was awesome. We grabbed a couple seats and settled in. Within a minute, we were greeted and provided with menus. Right after, the manager/ owner came over, introduced himself, and offered some suggestions. I'm glad he did because he suggested a rum for hubs and an Irish whiskey for me and we each loved our selections. The cigars we chose were really smooth as well. I wound up purchasing a special edition Davidoff cigar for my father and some for hubs and I. We left to visit other places and wound up returning later in the same evening. It was now packed so we wound up in the corner of the bar. We were starving and ordered food. The service was not as good as earlier in the evening but everything was still good. I wish there was a location in FL because we would definitely frequent it. read more

This is my first review. I don't generally feel that I need to leave commentary on my experience. However, I usually had a great time at Blend, but the one time I met the owner and his wife, who aren't from Pittsburgh, the wife made me feel like a second class citizen. Davidoff Cigars are a cigar that I'd smoke every six month because they're way out of my price point. I have a 40 year old sports car and a 20 year old Jeep that has a forever lock on my wallet, my vices are prioritized. When I landed in Pittsburgh and settled into my hotel, I made a bee line to Blend Bar. Parking is either on the street or in a lot. After 6pm the street meters are turned off, I was lucky to find a parking spot right behind the bar. Walking in, Blend Bar is tastefully decorated. There are TVs up high and they're playing a Blend Bar loop. The music selection is a mix up of Nashville, classic rock and 80s. I'm totally in the zone at this point. Yinzers? I'm not seeing them, I would have like to seen these party people but It's Monday night and kinda quite. I walk in, introduce myself to the staff and asked to be pointed towards the humidor. Walking in, it's Cigar Nirvana. There are a large range of cigars and the price points are reasonable. I find a Davidoff cigar that costs the same to fill my tank but I'm here to smoke like a rock star so prices be dammed. Once I have my stick, I look at their liquor selections. Totally impressive Scotch choices. Usually, I'd drink a bourbon but since it's no holding back Ardbeg 10 Year Single Malt Scotch please and thank you. Now I had a Primanti Bros sandwich for lunch. I'm looking for something that's not too heavy so I chose a Hummus plate. The bartender brings out this huge plate with celery, carrots and toasted pita points. It was a lot, I couldn't finish it. I'm smoking and I walk over to the manager. We start talking about tobacco taxes compared to Boston/Rhode Island and PA. PA isn't too bad on Cigars, the state does tax to death Cigarettes. Blend Bar with Davidoff Cigars is a very cool cigar lounge in Pittsburgh. Very lucky to have found this during my brief stay in Pittsburgh. I've been to the Blend in The Woodlands, TX many times so when I got to Pittsburgh PA, I was happy to see Blend here, and close to my hotel. They have a great set here. I started with a light dinner and then for what I can for, a great cigar and an excellent drink. That's just what I got. My cigar is a Camacho Connecticut and my drink was the Whiskey Rebellion (all from a local distillery called Liberty Pole. Blends are great cigar bars. We took my dad here for his birthday, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! The interior is beautiful with high ceilings, cozy couches, and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was FABULOUS. Mercedes and Kyle took care of us, and they were not only on the ball during our visit, but they were also unbelievably kind and able to joke with our family. Dear Yelpers I don't use this lightly...but this is a 6 star place. We found this lovey gem after bar hopping and I'd take it all back to spend all my money here. They start by taking you into the humidor to hand select your cigar. Then they hand you a menu full of bourbons and wines galore. Not to mention flights from the local Pittsburgh distilleries! They did a great job with the ventilation as well. Never even noticed any other cigar smoke from the other patrons. BUT...the best part of the night may have been the pizza. It was AMAZING. Close to the convention center. Great great customer service - wonderful bar and a great selection of cigars with comfortable seating. Isn't that what you want in a cigar lounge? Just found this place around the corner from my hotel. Great knowledgeable staff, modern cigar lounge but with the the Golden Age feel of old Pittsburgh. Limited variety of cigars but I guarantee the staff can find you something that you like. The bar has an excellent selection of liquor as well as a wide variety of manager special drinks to pair with that perfect stick. This is a really cool, different cigar bar that's perfect to stop at on your way to PPG Paints Arena (short walk). Inside is really lovely. The bar is beautiful and so is the cigar room. There's plenty of seating with big comfy chairs and televisions. I always am here on off times so we've never had an issue finding a seat at the bar or being served quickly. My husband is a cigar lover and has gotten great service when buying or inquiring about the different cigars. If you're a beer drinker, the selection of tap beers is small but I think there was a decent selection of bottles. The drink menu has lots of great options as well. We've never eaten here but we've seen others with food and it always looks good, so we'll stop sometime and try that out next. read more

A cigar smoker I am not. However, this is a neat place to visit, check out. I was curious and that's how I ended up in here. Walked by almost on a daily basis and finally went in Had an expensive glass of scotch, can't remember what it was called. But it was worth the price, it was a high-end brand. This is most definitely an upscale venue that's very welcoming and laid back. Not a place I would typically hang out at a lot (again only because I am not a cigar smoker) but somewhere I will visit again for sure. read more

Went looking for a cigar. Davidoff is about as good as it gets - and this place is REALLY as good as it gets. Was seeking a break from a conference I was attending at lunchtime. Walked in, and apparently was a tad early for the regular crowd. Picked up a few cigars and a diet coke and hung out. Was truly a wonderful hour made better by the attentive staff Rachel who was hostess that time time. Don't miss this place. We did the Boardroom Experience and it did not disappoint. If you are into Bourbon, Whiskey, Scotch, Cigars, etc. this is an awesome place with a great vibe. This really is not my kind of place. Cigars . . . nope (and I really didn't care for all the cigarette and cigar smoke, it started getting to me after a while). Wine, yeah, I like wine, but this place just seemed pretentious to me. They had a certificate in the men's room certifying the hygienic cleanliness . . . REALLY? Is that a thing now, because it didn't seem any different from any other bathroom in some of your better restaurants or bars in town. And how about some food to go along with the drinks? Is it really acceptable to ask for some food, and you are told sorry, we had a really big party last night, and they wiped us out, but normally we have a great selection of charcuterie and cheese . . . are you kidding me? I had never been to a cigar bar before but I went because new experiences are awesome (mostly). This experience was great. Me and my friends enjoyed drinks with the cool bartender who was making up her own drinks which were delish. I asked for a lemon drop and she made it to perfection. I know nothing about cigars but do know they have a lot of them from all over the globe. What makes anyone really linger here is the polite staff and the wonderful decor. I'm glad that this bar is still operating under Covid - they have chairs socially distanced and were strict in enforcing mask wearing when walking around which made me feel safe. I enjoyed the cigars they had and the variety of cocktail drinks (try the espresso martini!) as well as the decor and sophisticated atmosphere of the place. This is simply put a fantastic experience. It is classy and well maintained. It is a higher end cigar lounge so you are not going to walk in and get a $3 gas station cigar and IC Light. Come here with the intention of selecting a stick from a more established company and trying a nice bourbon. Also note, you cannot bring your own Cigar to smoke. This is not meant to sound pretentious but Blend is what many would consider a Luxury. It is not a typical bar hop stop. They even ask for a certain dress from their clientele and personally, I'm okay with that because I know what the atmosphere will be. With that said, if you like what you hear, read on. I was greeted right away in the afternoon and taken into a smaller walk in Humidor that had a decent selection of Cigars mostly highlighting their sponsored Cigars. I was asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for in my Cigar and if I had any questions. They seemed knowledgeable and willing to assist but I quickly spotted a stick that caught my eye. With a Camacho Corojo in hand we walked out to the bar which spotlights bourbons though there were several craft beers available. I sampled two Japanese Whiskys and opted for a double of the Suntory Toki. I was offered a cut on my cigar but used my punch instead. I tried a cold draw for flavor and then my cigar was toasted for me and then I took my first hot draw. With everything in order I retired to the seating area which is set up for privacy. The high backed chairs are placed in fours creating areas of seclusion so you and your party. I was extremely impressed with just how well this worked. I felt like I was in my own room. There are hightop tables and bar seating as well if that is what you are looking for. For me, I wanted to relax on my own. The atmosphere was great with the volume of music and mix of of styles fitting from jazz to more contemporary rock. Never too loud and more like a well place soundtrack in the background. The high ceilings along with the ventilation system made for a non hazy environment. The ventilation system was also very quiet compared to others I have been around. This makes it comfortable for anyone who is not intending to smoke or may be sensitive to smoke. I was a fan of the decor which worked well here. They do offer some small plate items but on this visit I did not try anything as I was perfectly content with my smoke and drink. All in all I spent nearly an hour and a half at Blend and enjoyed every minute of my stay from the moment I stepped in the door. The service and atmosphere are class act. Remember, this is all part of the experience. If you are not looking for this type of place, there are plenty of other spots around town you might enjoy. If however you are looking to have a great experience in a higher end lounge, look no further than Blend. read more

It's a bit bright in here, brighter than I think I'd expect for a cigar bar but the cigars are very good and the bartender will help you pick one out. I've been here a few times and I've liked every cigar I've had and have even found one I especially liked and ended up going and buying some to have on hand. The drinks are well-made, a bit on the pricier side but that's what I would expect from a cigar bar like this honestly so it wasn't surprising and it was a delicious old fashioned so no complaints there. I'd go 3 1/2 stars, being nice. The cigar selection is limited, as to be expected, but the humidor needs better regulation. One of my cigars was soft with a good drag. The 2nd was 'older' not fresh and a harder drag. As for the service, it is well intended. Each person checks on all of the patrons, so there really isn't sections. However, they have their favorites and will 'forget' about you, if you aren't in the clique. That is the downturn. We watched them continuously walk by our seats, to get to the clique. The faves are checked on every 5 min. While we wait 35 minutes, for a drink. ( to be told they are out) Embiance; homerun. I'll be back. This place is set up for success. Prices: hey, you're coming into a named cigar bar. You're not ordering from a warehouse so expect the bump. Drinks are big city prices. This is expected, 3 smokes, 5 drinks ~ $150. Our third time here and I get the feeling they are going under. The space is gorgeous, the selection of cigars is insanely overpriced, and the staff is awkward (do you really need to stop by three times to tell me you will be with me soon when there are literally three other couples in the entire place? Once is enough.) Last night they were out of beer. Out. Of. Beer. No beer. In a bar. On a Saturday night. The wine by the glass was also running low (but they offered my friend a half a glass of completely oxidized wine that tasted like it had been open for a month on the house) and they started sweeping the carpets and turning out the lights well before their scheduled close (we were the only people left but you know what? I was originally very excited to see this place open. Many of my coworkers and I had planned on this being a new after work hangout spot. I went over after it opened looking to get some lists of whiskeys / cigars available to bring back to the office for us to review. I went in just after opening time, as I went i noticed nobody working the door so I went straight to the bar. There was a gentleman marking cigars with one patron on a business call. I asked the gentleman working if paper menus were available, or a whiskey list and was told "no. Our selection changes too often to have that." While I can kind of-sort of get that point.... behind him were numerous whiskey lists staring me in the face. I took it with a grain of salt and continued on. I asked if they were carrying Pappy Van Winkle as advertised online, he replied "yes and no" and plopped 2 bottles of bourbon in front of me describing how close it is to PVW. I decided to check out the Japanese whiskey selection and asked if they had plans to expand to Hibiki or Yamazaki 12/18 and was told "this is what we have" And then walked away. No phone call, nobody called him over or paged him. We locked eyes, and he walked away. I thought he may be sending somebody else over to discuss selection with me, but no. I stood at the bar for another 10-15 minutes before another person came over to advise "all the pricing on the menu was wrong" and then walk away. That was it for me. While i decided to not patronize this location, my coworkers' similar experiences did it for them. I wish them good luck, however I will not be visiting again. read more
