I do love me some deals at Burlington! Having recently lost weight, I am having to restock my closet with proper fitting clothes. So that makes Burlington an excellent choice to fill my hangers. They do have an uphill battle on ensuring the right-sized garments are where they are supposed to be, some people are just not kind (actually they are lazy) when it comes to putting clothes back on the same rack. And they often have a slow check-out process due to their returns and checkout going through the same line. But those are my only complaints. read more

I was there today at 8:30pm on 06/15/22 at Manassas location for shopping. There was a family shopping at the store. The daughter threw up on the floor, the father notified the crew to send a cleaning crew for cleaning, the crew suggested the father to talk to the manager. I was very surprised to see the manager asked this poor father to clean the vomit giving him a paper towel.. is this for real Burlington coat factory? I was surprised to see your third class customer service. Do you not have a maintenance/ cleaning crew at the store for an accident like this? I stop my shopping and left the store right away-- this poor father was cleaning the vomit all by himself. This is crazy! I could give you 0 star if I could. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Someone had taken a shower curtain off of the shower curtain set with two of the bath mats (I had just bought a new shower curtain so I didn't need it) well she went to the back to get a new one and came back and I told her I'm sorry I think you misunderstood me. Someone took the shower curtain off and I just need the bath mats. She had the nerve so say DID YOU TAKE IT OFF!! I don't like the fact I was called a liar and then proceeded to tell me they couldn't sell it to me! Well how else are you going to sell it if it don't have no dang shower curtain!!! Went shopping today at Burlington and it was AWFUL! I take my time shopping, I guess I wasn't shopping fast enough for the security team. Three people followed me around the store, they ALL had the same head set. I AM LIVID. I wasn't doing anything but shopping and looking around. I work hard to earn my money, I will spend it as I choose. If I want to take my time, I will effing take my time. And of course 2 of the 3 had the audacity to fake check out, when I was done shopping and checking out. They both bought 1 random item, not from the sections they were in--when they were following me. The 3rd person put his cart back, and didn't even pretend to check out. I took all of their pictures; they made me feel uncomfortable shopping, now they can feel uncomfortable with people seeing them online. I'm so angry, I've spent so much money at Burlington over the years. To be followed by THREE people, as if I was stealing pisses me off! Instead of sending 3 people to stock me, maybe you should put that much effort into cleaning the fitting rooms. It's a dirty hot mess!!!!!! This store is a hot mess and very disorganized, people on the floor have no customer service and look as if they don't want to be there ( but I guess I would look the same if I worked there too)! After browsing through the disorganized racks I did find some cute white pants and a cute black sleeveless hoodie shirt. After doing a 360 of the store on a Saturday afternoon a day before Easter I quickly checked out. I guess I will come back someday.... read more

1.5 Stars Burlington can be a hit or miss depending on what you're looking for. It's mostly a miss for me. I love shopping for the boyfriend, so I'll just review the selection of men's apparel here compared to other discount clothing stores. Ties: Semi-decent selection, most ties are under $15. Dress Shirts: Not impressed. Limited brands and colors. Pants: Overloaded, but most are pleated. Ick. Accessories: Cluttered to the max. Most are taken out of their original packaging. Jeans: A few bargains, such as $70 DKNY jeans for $24. I saw mostly old styles here. Suits/Blazers: Better selection than Ross, but not as deeply discounted. Outerwear: Lots of leather jackets (not his style though). They even have discounted ski apparel in the back. Shoes: I wouldn't really bother looking. Why do I rate this store so low? It's disorganized BEYOND belief! I browsed through neckwear, and was about to purchase an item. Turns out that it was placed in the wrong section, and wasn't on sale. Normally I wouldn't be annoyed, but so many of their ties are misplaced in that section. Also expect to find clothing and shoes in the wrong size categories as well. Employees, please tidy up the store a bit to make browsing a bit more tolerable, especially for male customers. The idea of shopping is already frustrating for some! read more

As the other reviewer noted, Burlington Coat Factory is hit or miss. I wanted a blue blazer that is 100% wool because wool looks so much more "finished" than 60/40 polyester blend. They had what I was looking for today in my size (46 Short), so when a store has my size, I buy it. The price was $90 which I considered very good compared to other retailers, IF they have my size, and they usually don't. I was killing time while having my car serviced nearby under warrantee so I had to return from Eastern Panhandle WV 75 miles away, and I have two functions coming up this week where I needed to add this to my "wardrobe" because having recently moved to EPWV there is a deficit of retailers having "dress" clothing because lifestyle here is much more casual. This is underscored by the fact too that there are two Asian dry cleaners in Martinsburg that charge "full price"...that's it. I soooo miss having Zips and Dry Clean Depot. read more

I've got a bit of a love/hate relationship with Burlington Coat Factory. And it's not because finding clothes that I want to buy can be, as others noted, hit or miss. I find that BCF has the best collection of big and tall (i.e. fat men) clothing of any of the discount clothing chains, so regardless of what mode my body is in, I can find something I like there. However, I have found that every BCF I have been in has been an absolute mess. I don't mean sizes mixed up - that doesn't bother me. I've never seen a department store that has everything in the right place. I'm talking about product strewn haphazardly about, stuff lying on the floors ... they typically look more like my wife's closet than a retail store. And every BCF I have ever been to smells like a stale wet fart. Seriously. So imagine my joy when I walked into the Manassas BCF for the first time and got ZERO hint of stale fart mustiness. The store was clean and generally well organized. Sure, I had to do a bit of size hunting, mainly with dress shirts, but it was less of a scavenger hunt than usual. This store is smaller than any other BCF I have been into, and thus had more limited selection, but I was still able to find ample clothing to spruce up my wardrobe - 3 dress shirts, 4 short sleeve polos, 3 dress pants, a new belt and, of course, another UVa t-shirt to add to my collection. Check-out, like most BCFs, was a tad on the slow side, but I was able to get in, search, try on, and get out within an hour. The entire trip was a win in my book. read more

The prices are good, though the stock and staff are hit and miss. The few times I have gone in I was not able to find what I was looking for. On top of that the front end staff are slow and can not handle stress. Multiple times I have sat in line for more than 15 minutes with just three people in front of me. YIKES! I went to try to find a new coat at a decent price. Unfortunately not a large selection in my size also the styles looked like they were from the 70s. The place was like stepping into a giant yard sale unorganized and tacky. This store was much better years ago. I miss having a JC Penney in the area. Men's clothes are either cheap junk Walmart and Target or overpriced like Macy's and Kohl's hard to find midrange stuff these days. Can't see coming in here again amytime soon. read more

There was this Indian manager that told me bs about their return policy. I even work at a Burlington and his customer service is just wrong.

It's a decent place with some hit and misses clothing. Good prices. For what it is. And they always have good stuff on clearance.

I've come here many times and the place keeps getting worse. They are not organized and the kids toys are opened, broken and scattered everywhere. Oh this store..... it's always very busy, which isn't a bad thing BUT it's SO MESSY & unorganized. They have "remodeled" this store so many times. The fitting rooms TERRIBLE! There is no where to hang the clothes you want to try on or chair to put your purse. Let's not even talk about the fitting rooms with the missing doors. They need so many more registers. I usually shop at the store in Fairfax but gave this one a try today. Big mistake. After I swiped my card and chose debit and entered my pin, the girl on the register said debit wasnt working on their system so I had to swipe again using credit. Well it went through both times so I was charged twice. Didnt realize this until I got home. Then the zipper on the jeans I brought broke right after I ripped the taggs off of course. 40 dollars down the drain and a lesson learned. read more
