I normally don't stop at this Burlington but I was passing back and decided to stop. I have found that all discount stores (Burlington, TJMaxx, Marshall's) are places you need to stop in often. The selection changes weekly. If you see something and are thinking about buying but are still kinda on the fence about it...buy it and think about it at home because it won't be there later. I was able to find a lot on my last visit. I bought 5 shirts for my hubby and 9 blouses for me. It was under $200! This never happens. I will have to remember next time to come to this location first. The store was well organized and there was several employees working the floor. read more

Nura - Thank you for your response. Yes - I used to enjoy shopping at Burlington, as the store and staff were impeccably maintained, managed front end experiences, thoughtful employees and great values. This store missed on all these accounts. Please let me know when you believe the store is sufficiently improved for me to revisit. Thanks. read more

We stopped in looking for a jacket for my four year-old but they had none. The store was pretty bare and is exactly like Marshall's or TJMaxx. I'm sure they have some good deals here and there but with no one even greeting us or asking us if we needed help, I won't be back. read more

Surprisingly very clean, but lots of clutter. They have a TON of Christmas gift ideas and toys. Shoe area had great options. The children's clothing area was very bare and only had a couple brands; usually they have a ton of options. Hopefully after the holidays they will have more children's clothes. read more

The feeling of the Burlington's has made a comeback the restructuring is a goa!! I'm liking it again it is neater and sweeter there are displays of fine items all over the store to fluff your home visitors please keep your children under control there is no reason to store should have to monitor your uncleans and out of control children Burlington's is headed back to the top read more

Store was a total disaster with items all over floor. Checkout too 30 mins with only 2 cashiers. Employee advised that corporate not allowing new hires to keep store operational. Feel sorry for them! I will not be going back there any time soon. Live just up the street! read more

Supposedly, this location does not take returns without a receipt, but there are other local locations that will. Went in to return about $30 worth of clothes that have never been used. The lady at the counter told me that this particular location does not take returns without receipt present. I'm pretty sure that the receipt I did read that's why would return without receipt, but they would give me back the lowest price back within so many days (can't really remember). I know it's not the lady at the counters fault, but it does put a sour taste in my mouth that they will take my money, but will not fulfill the other part of the contract on the back of the receipt. I personally will think twice before purchasing anything else from this particular location. Thanks for reading my review. Rant over! Have a nice day everyone! read more

I had shop here for the longest time and i never had a problem until today My husband was trying to buy a suit and the lady refused to sell it to him because he needed a different size of pants and coat, i never heard something more dumb, all men have different type pf bodysuits. They were so rude, customer service here sucks. read more

What is going on with the lines at all of your stores. Complaining don't seem to help. Maybe the media should do a snipit. Only one or two cashiers working with a line wrap around the store. This is a disgrace to the customers and your poor employees that you are clearly over working. read more

Writing this review as I am standing in line to pay. I have been in line for 54 min now. They only has 3 employees checking out people. THAT IS INSANE!! The line wraps around the store all the way to the back for them to only have 3 employees checking out. Very disappointed will not be returning to shop here anymore. They are over working these employees and making customers wait in line for more than an hour. HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES! read more

If I could rate this store a 0 I would. I've worked in retail a couple of times, enough to know that you should not only schedule 2 people to cashier during the holidays because it gets hectic and the lines will wrap. A good store should be hiring or scheduling multiple people for the position in order to get things moving, the amount of people I saw leave the line because it was not getting any shorter is just insane. Do better. Schedule better. read more

Clean. Organized. Priced fairly. Wished they had mor inventory, that's the only reason I knock off a star. Shoes were slim pickings and so were little girls dresses up to 12 months. Cashier was a riot and so easy to work with. Fast checkout line. Love their Essie nail polishes that are always $3.99 in the checkout lane. Warning: Can't take your carts out the store, the wheels will lock. Plenty of parking too. No worries there. read more

I only gave this location 1 star because that is the lowest I could give for my experience. I TRIED to purchase several items from this store, but when I got to the register I was told that one pair of shoes I was trying purchase was tagged wrong. I was told instead of $24.99 they were $44.99. Really!!!?? The Assistant manager, Brian, told me he did not have to honor business law or ethics. The Manager, James, told me in the real world people change the prices, so they do not have to honor the prices on their tags. They only have to honor the prices in the computer. This store has no customer service and does not follow good business practice. Do not shop here apparently in the real world we all steal and are thieves. read more

I like to think of a manager as the general and his/her staff as soldiers. It does take an army to keep operations running smoothly and most importantly to keep customers happy. Customers may not "ALWAYS BE RIGHT" , but customers do have the RIGHT TO ALWAYS feel good about spending their hard earned money. At the core of every successful establishment/business/organization you will find a friendly, competent, helpful, well trained team led by exemplary management.... OR not so much. Unfortunately I have experienced the latter at nearly every Burlington I've shopped at. Since the opening of 529 Burlington, I have seen a high employee turnover from management to staff. Again the same (post office) type service. No smile, no assistance, no surprise here. Needless to say I stopped shopping at Burlington, that is, until a few months ago. I found myself frequenting the store around 2-3 times a week. My shopping experience was joyful and I noticed a few other changes. All these new faces, since last year, were becoming more and more familiar with each visit. An associate asked me on the selling floor if I needed assistance with anything. ( this was a first) On another trip, I intended to buy 1 shirt and decided not to get a cart. An associate saw me struggling, rather, juggling way more stuff than I intended to buy and asked me if I needed a cart. What ??!?!?? In Burlington ?!? I made a substantial purchase in May. ( 6 full bags) THE MANAGER ( Marcus ) HELPED ME CARRY MY BAGS TO MY CAR!!!!!! Ok now, that is definitely another first at BURLINGTON ! Also wanted to mention the stores return policy. I am a personal shopper and at times have needed to do large returns. This made me uncomfortable, even WITH a receipt, all because of a less than eager to assist cashier. I have yet to experience that at this store. My cashier was smiling and pleasant. She was extremely thorough and had a solution for every one of my concerns, I had a few on this occasion. (one item could not be found on any of the 4 receipts I gave her. She asked me for my # and the card that I used. With this information, she was able to retrieve and confirm my purchase. She then credited my card with no question. I can relate to every Yelper that had a less than satisfying experience at Burlington. For me, it was almost expected. I was prepared to be told NO, to be ignored and not to expect any help. I DO NOT write many reviews, as you can see, but I felt compelled to write this one. It just takes one person, the right person, to start a domino effect. The change that makes a difference. This is now my go to Burlington. Thank you Marcus, Jacqueline, Erica, Karen, Kendrick, Azizullah, Alexis. Thanks for caring to be #1 !!!!!! read more

This is such a nice store! Visited on a Wednesday evening. More employees were present than shoppers. And wow @ the bargains. Purchased 7 shirts, 1 jacket, 3 pairs of tennis shoes, a pair of sandals, a nice watch, a few other extras and a partridge in a pear tree for my son. Came to less than $200! AND they let me keep the hangers. :) I visited the luggage, shoes, & men's section with a quick run through the fashion jewelry section. The store was orderly which made for a nice shopping experience. They've got LOTS to choose from. Three aisles of suitcases was overwhelming. I intended to pick one up but couldn't decide. Will return! :) read more

First thing I noticed with the location on the map is that it's off from what it shows on yelp. It's not on the intersection of Hwy 6/529. It's close, but a little west off of 529. That being said, I came here on a Wednesday to buy a suit for a wedding and the only thing I know I was looking for is a black suit. Customer Service: The sales associate named Erica really helped me out! She helped me figure out my measurement and what size to get. She planned my whole wardrobe and I only came in there to buy a jacket and pants, but I ended buying a shirt, tie, shoes, belt, and socks to go along with it. She spent over an hour with me to help me with my style! Overall: The customer experience was really great! The prices aren't bad either compared to other department stores. I ended up getting a Calvin Klein suit and Kenneth Cole belt and tie. They have good deals on combination jacket/pants suits that I would definitely come back to buy! read more

It is 1:30 PM and I have been standing in line for 15 minutes. Still 5 people ahead of me...and currently no one is checking people out. (One cashier left to help find a price, the other cannot figure out a coupon). I am returning something or I would have already left. This is the worst service ever! (And I shop at Ross!) read more

I have shopped at burlington for more than a decade and NEVER had this happen to me! I put a layaway in around 3 weeks ago at the 16311 Farm to Market Rd 529, Houston, TX 77095 location and went in to pick up my items this evening only to discover they had misplaced my layaway. I think, "ok this isn't a major inconvenience they simply have to go back and look through all the bags and spot the one with my VERY simple and easy to find TWO items." No! The manager decides counting down the drawers for the night is more important than my leaving with my fully paid for two items. I am so disappointed! I was told BY A MANAGER: "I'm going to have to apologize but right now we can't find it we have over 250 layaways" and then repeatedly how "I needed to come back tomorrow," and call her NOT the other way around...as if my already inconvenienced self should be hounding you all for things I've purchased and YOU have lost. In addition to the nonchalant attitude of the manager, I had to hear about how tired she was. Are you kidding me?? I've worked in retail, so I get it you guys are busy but you don't tell an already inconvenienced person how tired you are ON THE CLOCK, as if my time and energy is irrelevant. I am so upset! There was no type of empathy and no real regard as if this is something they do at this location on a regular. I even went through the store to see if they may have had the items but of course this type of store usually rotates things out so I may never find these particular things. The hurt comes in when I think about the fact that I took my daughters to pick these items. They were with me to pick them, try them on and they were so excited to hear we were getting their winter coats out of layaway! I am extremely saddened and frustrated by this experience. When I initially opened the layaway it was not the people were not this way. They were friendly and helpful. This manager honesty acted as if I'd walked into Starbucks and they could simply "make me another coffee tomorrow." I hope someone sees this and contacts the manager who was on shift tonight to advise this is NOT ok. And I want to know now, how do you resolve my issue? I was told to "call back tomorrow" to see if they found it. ***Update*** With this review, I must elaborate. On yesterday, I had a horrible experience with one of the store's supervisors/ shift managers' customer service after discovering my layaway had been misplaced. Today, I went back into the location. My items weren't found BUT the store manager James and one of his supervisors Tiffanie really left me with the impression I've had for years shopping at Burlington. James went out of his way (literally) to make sure I left his store satisfied. He expressed SINCERE empathy for my situation and even walked around the store with me to help me find replacements for the items I originally lost in the layaway. I mean can you say, EXCELLENCE! I have worked in customer service for 8 years and have shopped at Burlington for more than 10. This afternoon James restored my favor in the company and exemplified the type of customer service that deserves positive feedback. I am more satisfied with the items I purchased today than the original items that were lost in layaway and truly grateful for such a quick turn around. I really do love shopping at Burlington and did not want to forcefully shop somewhere else over a one poor experience. Thank you James! read more

i spoke with the manager and she says Corporate only allows her to have 3 cashiers maximum for a line of almost 50 cuatomers waiting for good 40 minutes. awful experience, too tired to shop there, not wanting to come back here anymore. read more

New store that's been opened for a few months. I like their selection of shoes, handbags, clothing for the entire family, housewares, and of course all the coats. Unlike other BCF's that I have been to, this particular location is well assorted and organized. It's a clean store, with reasonable prices, you can most certainly always get whatever it is your looking for. read more

Well, this USED to be a good Burlington to shop at. Not anymore!!!! Its pure chaos. Unorganized, merchandise all over the place, and customer service is poor. I came tonight just to browse and this location USED to have a nice jewelry selection. I found a couple of earrings that I wanted to purchase. I got in the line at 7 and 25 minutes later I was still standing in line so I took note of the cashier situation. I counted 10 employees in the cashier area. 8 were busybodies or chatting and 2 were cashiers. Yep! And to top it off, one of the cashiers left her register to go and find a replacement item for the customer she had. Yep!!!! The best display of inefficiency that I have seen. Meanwhile, the line was backed up to the mens area. I would estimate at least 25 folks waiting. Plum Ridiculous. So...2 stars. Actually...one star. Just Ridiculous. read more

This location wouldn't be bad if you didn't have to wait in line for 30 minutes to check out. Very understaffed. 3 checkout lines open with over 20 people waiting in-line. I've never had to deal with this type of wait at any other location. It's a busy store. They need to up their game. read more

They have so much stuff but it becomes overwhelming to look through. The rakes are too packed with clothes. It's pretty messy at this location. Clothes and shoes are all the way out of order. I was looking through smalls and found many larges . Check out was fast but I wish they would organize this place much better then what they have going on now. read more

Was stereotyped or discriminated by the manager. I was returning some shoes. That I had purchased at a different location. The manager stated that she could not take the shoes because they were missing the sticker that they use to scan and because they have been worn. I explained to her that I had tried them on in my house for a few minutes. once I realized I could not walk in the shoes for long I decided to return them. She stated that I had worn the shoes out tside of my house. I suppose she meant that I had warned them and try to return them as a scam. Never again am I buying at this Burlington location. read more

On yesterday May 23, 2017 while shopping for a dress for my sons graduation. I guess I was too dumb to see that the next misses dress isle was closed. I moved onto the next isle and immediately a slender lady with braids yell at me saying " This is closed mam, that why that's right there!" My response was shoot , I didn't know. I never went to any store and was told I couldn't find something to spend my money on. read more
