I came to drop off an Amazon return. Of course it is located in the back of the store. Walking back there I noticed sale and clearance signs everywhere. I know Kohl's is in financial difficulties, and I find this sad. I like shopping here for towels, home decor, small appliances (sometimes) and jewelry. And at Xmas time they have great holiday gifts. Their sales are usually pretty good. I hope they stay in business through this pandemic. When I dropped my Amazon package off I received a 25% off coupon. read more

Beware something sneaky Kohl's does with their Kohl's cash, which feel is a little dishonest. I had a 20% off coupon and bought a clearance shirt for $18 that I thought would be $14.40. It was, and that was my balance owed. But when I pulled out my $15 Kohl's cash, the price went up. They removed the 20% coupon and put my total back up to $18. Then they applied the Kohl's cash and left the balance at $3.00. Next, they took 20% off $3.00, leaving me to pay $2.40. Their order of operations is cleverly arranged to surprise customers with higher charges than what they may be expecting. The term "Kohl's Cash" is therefore misleading. It's not treated like "cash" but more like a price reduction that gets applied before other discounts. read more

Hello everyone! Kohls customer service non existent. Nada! In particular Katy's Kohl's on Fry Rd. It reminds me of Walmart's customer service if they had one. I usually don't shop there, but they have an Amazon drop off. Which is convenient. I tried buying some things there once but they had one cashier for 20 people. It was faster to put them all back. She didn't even attempt to call anyone. Maybe because they no one to call. At times I've seen a gentleman walk around like his the store manger not greeting anyone. You can tell customer service is not a priority. I just don't understand why struggling businesses don't preach customer service. It's truly a no brainer. I used to love Kohls. I have had their credit card for over 16 years and spent thousands and thousands of dollars at our local store. The employees at our local store are great, although they have clearly cut back on staff due to costs, so lines are now long waits with only a few cashiers available. My bigger issue is that we didn't receive our monthly bill a few months back. It might have come, but Kohl's was spamming us with no less than 5 emails a day, so we didn't see it (and couldn't find it in our trash after receiving a call from an automated system that we had a bill due). We always pay the bill in full as soon as we get it, however, it appears we apparently shopped the day our billing cycle closed and didn't catch that when we paid the bill we had received that it didn't have our last $15 purchase on it. It wasn't until I got that phone call that we had a bill due that we even knew about the balance. I immediately paid it in full within minutes. However, that came at a cost of an 70pt hit to my credit score. I contacted them to let them know 1) we didn't receive the bill, and 2) we have never been late with a bill in 16 years. They apologized profusely and took off the late charge, however, they will not under any circumstance remove the hit for the late payment on the credit report. Fast forward 7 months, and the score has only gone up 13 of those 70pts, so at this rate, it will be 3+ years before this one payment is actually cleared from our report and not affecting my credit score. I no longer wish to support this company with purchases and only go in there every couple of months to make a purchase to keep my credit card active so that I can actually get the history to get this payment cleared off eventually. Their selection has declined drastically, and now the majority of the items are excluded from their sales, so it isn't the great place to shop that it once was. read more

It's no secret that my sisters and my mom - especially my mom - and aunt love Kohl's. They are *always* there. And now I know why. They have almost-daily sales, "save 30%" coupons that come via snail mail every weekend, and you save 20% with all purchases made on your Kohl's card. I shop here for the home goods. When on sale, The Big One towels are $3-4, and these are good towels. No more pricey, super soft towels for me; they don't dry and only leave white fuzzies all over your skin. I also snagged a new vacuum for $140, regularly $180. I wish we had a Kohl's in the city. The closest location I can think of is the one in Pearland. read more

I only go to Kohl's for home goods. They offer a lot of coupons through the Sunday newspaper, online, signing up for a Kohl's card, and email. I don't really buy clothes at Kohl's, because to be honest, it's a bit pricey, even with the discounts and coupons combined. Shoes department is limited to certain styles. I can never find anything that I like, unfortunately. Ah, the home goods. Basically the only good thing about this store. From kitchen, to bathroom, to even bedroom, I can find almost anything I need. My mom and I go crazy over the on sale bath towels. We buy way more than we need, but it's so darn cheap and great quality! We've even bought a few kitchen items here and there, especially during black Friday and after Christmas sales. Definitely the home goods is what's keeping me interested in Kohl's. The place does needs some cleaning. You'll know when you see it. read more

Kohls is one of those places you dont shop at unless you have a minimum $10 or 15% off coupon in hand. The "retail" cost and "kohls" cost they display should be illegal because it deceives people into thinking they saved a bunch of money. Its an accepted scam I guess. But they do have good deals sometimes. For me, I manage to find decent dress shoes and socks. Maybe one or two shirts. After applying coupons it brings the cost down to a reasonable cost for shopping at Kohls. My advice, do your coupon research before you go. If you dont have a coupon or a kohls credit card, you're paying more than you need to. read more

I've visited this location several times over the years and have always found it clean with a good supply of inventory and friendly customer service. I recently used their curbside pickup to get workout clothes and shoes. You could tell the pickup area in the parking lot was makeshift and I ended up having to actually call the store to let them know I had arrived. I was quickly connected to a store employee and they brought out my items quickly and placed them into my trunk. I bet I would use this location more often if they kept up the curbside option. I hate going into department stores! read more

I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet. Kohl's is the place to go simply for the fact that they offer great daily deals of upwards of 10 to 20% off of items plus what's not to love about Kohl's cash. They are very similar to any JCPenney's Marshall's type of clothing store where you can get all around knickknack's at a great price. But the main reason we continually support this location and one of the main reasons that I'm the Duke apparently lol is because of the Kohls cash period. Speaking of that we had about $50 total of Kohls cash 10 of it had actually expired a week before but they were so cool about it that they went ahead and gave us credit for the $10 Kohls cash that had expired a week ago isn't that awesome! read more

I wasn't holding my breath when I went back into this Kohl's today based on my last experience when I reviewed this store previously. Good thing, because I think it's actually gotten worse, and that was pretty hard to do. Don't venture into the Men's dress pants area. You've been officially warned. Unless you have a shovel, a machete, and X-ray vision. You'll need the X-ray vision to stare at heaps of clothes to see if your size, style, color is available within the massive heap of pants on EVERY display table in the department. Then, you'll need the machete and shovel to hack through all that crap and dig your pants out. I didn't bring all that stuff, so instead after surveying all this, I threw up in my mouth a little bit then got the hell out of there. It's too bad, because the front half of the area is kept fairly "shop-able". I've often heard that you should come to the table with a solution, not just regurgitate problems, so here you go Kohl's... Hire a couple 8.00 per hour part timers, and have them spend 40 hours a week straightening that freaking pig sty. If you sell about 10 pairs of pants in that week as a result of customers actually being able to navigate that "blank"hole, you will have at least broke even. read more

This Kohls always looks like a tornado hit it! ! I've shopped here over the years because I live in Copperfield but no more. What a mess! Have some pride and get this place straightened up. Here is a few solutions...hire high schoolers from Langham creek next door and make it their job to literally straighten. Or maybe have all your employees come in early and focus on straightening each section. I'm sick and can't use my right arm any longer so digging through piles and piles of pants is difficult for me. The one star is for the store and overall cleanliness and organization. The checkout was an awful experience. I was asked by the manager if I wanted to open a Kohls card. No big deal, most stores do this. I politely declined, but he kept on insisting and asked several more times. When I declined further, another associate joined in on this high sales pressure to open a card. When it became clear I was not going to open a card, they began to ask my husband and mother, who also declined several times. The audacity of the associate to instruct my mother to come back by herself so she can be pressured to open a card! Don't come here unless you want to be badgered and pressured to open a Kohls card. read more

I don't know why I keep coming back to this store. Even though Kohl's responded to my last review it appears nothing has changed. I don't know if it's poor corporate management or poor local management but the condition of the merchandise displays is more like a garage sale than a national chain. The men's department is the worst but not the only department the suffers. I won't be back and I won't drive the extra miles to go to another location. So if you don't play their little discount game you are going to get Majorly RIPPED OFF. The store has a nice variety of good clothes to choose from, but it's usually a mess to dig through. I have been a loyal Kohl's customer for years, and have convinced all of my friends and family to shop here, we all have Kohl's cards and are MVC's. But my experience today has been absolutely horrid. I have never visited the cypress location and never will again. My mother had a question and needed to speak with a manager. When Breanna first came over she refused to approach us and sat over by clothes racks staring. So my mother had to approach her, we asked about a coupon to which Breanna said it is up to manager discretion and I'm not doing it. My mother then asked to speak with the store manager, Ray G. he came over with an attitude and approached us with "yes, what do you want." Now my mother and I listened as Breanna had already explained the situation to him (with an attitude over the walkie talkie) before he came over. He starts getting loud and rude and when we brought up how this is not good customer service he says "If I didn't care about customer service I wouldn't be talking to you" He then walked off and tells security to watch us. So Breanna comes over and starts checking us out instead of the cashier, Breanna just throws our clothes across the counter not taking any type of care with our items. We continued our purchase and asked for the corporate number, Breanna reluctantly brought us the number for the steeplechase location instead (unknown to us) and told us if we didn't like their prices we could shop somewhere else. This is not how you treat customers, this location was empty and I understand why! read more

The worst service at the jewelry counter this evening. The older woman working the counter straight up ignored me and my boyfriend as we stood waiting for over 20 mins. At first we weren't in a hurry but when another customer came to look as well and was helped before we were. We both looked at each other in disbelief. She then asked us if we needed help with anything and I replied yes I wanted to try a ring on. She said ok then walked to help someone in the fragrance area that just walked up, leaving the customer trying on rings with an open jewelry counter. Luckily they didn't steal anything. We both had enough of the horrible service and left the store. My boyfriend and myself will never shop at this location again. read more

I've been a regular Kohls shopper for years. I used to live on the south side of Katy and have always shopped at Katy South store since it got built. Two years ago, I moved to Cypress, so of course I started shopping at this store. I never had any issues until this past week. There is apparently a new manager there (I've only begun seeing her within the past month or two). Now, since I've been shopping with kohls for almost 10 years, I've noticed that Kohl's has always been nice with accepting expired Kohls cash. I'm always very good at using it within the dates. However I let my last kohls cash expire by one day. I asked to speak to a manager when I got there, to ask about it. It was $80 worth of Kohls cash. Of course I wanted to use it! The "manager" rolled her eyes at me and said no. I told her I was planning on buying a kitchen aid, a ninja system and several other expensive items. She rolled her eyes again and said "you have to watch the dates". THE CASHIER LOOKED AT HER IN SHOCK, THEN APOLOGIZED FOR THE MANAGERS ATTITUDE! I asked if she was an actual manager and the cashier said she was an Assistant Store Manager. Now if I was a store manager, I would be disappointed in my management team. This is not how you represent a store. I'm a doctor and shopping is how I like to relax. This is not how I like to be treated when I relax. What else happens when the store manager isn't there? Needless to say, I will not be back to this location for a while. I'll make the drive to the other one. read more

So, a couple years ago I had ripped my pants right before an orchestra concert at the high school. Luckily this store was right next to us. Unfortunately, I only had about $8. We went into this store hoping to find some cheap shorts. We did find shorts for the amount we had, but we were nervous because this was a concert and we needed to look decent. The manager at the time (and hopefully still is) noticed we were in distress and offered to buy us pants. It was probably one of the nicest things that has ever happened to me and I will never forget it. I know this location doesn't get that much hype, but the staff here is absolutely amazing. Everyone is kind and honest. I don't think any other store manager would have offered to help me in this situation ever. I love visiting here because of their prices and great selection on clothes! If I could give 0 stars I would. Once again kohls has been awarded with the worst return policies in my opinion. I received a Fitbit Alta for Christmas, but really wanted the brand new Fitbit HR 2. I went to kohls with a receipt to do an exchange for the more expensive Fitbit. The customer service rep told me that they can no longer do exchanges on electronics, but because I have a receipt she can do a return for only store credit or put the money back on the gift givers credit card. I then agreed to the in store credit return figuring I would fork over another $50 for the Fitbit I wanted. To my surprise the return included a deduction of $30 because kohls cash was redeemed from the gift. I was then left with a remaining $80 total to be spent out of pocket when combined with my in-store credit. My problem here is that if they would just do an exchange I could have avoided paying an extra $30. Not to mention I was forced to either keep the one I had or purchase the one I wanted for an additional cost. This means that my Fitbit HR charge 2 really cost $180 when it retails everywhere else for a maximum of $149.99. My advice is DO NOT purchase gifts for people at kohls because even with a receipt they may not be able to get money back. Hence forcing the recipient to shop at one of the most overpriced stores. I've run into numerous problems with this stores return policies. Years ago I registered here for my wedding and even with a registry they would only award the lowest ticketed price to items that had been purchased off of my registry. This means that without a receipt they can only give you in store credit for say the Price they marked the item for Black Friday for example. This place is such a joke. This dissatisfied customer will not be shopping here ever again. read more
