Pros: had lots of shoe choices to choose from. Great prices! Cons: I felt like a criminal entering the store as I had to be let in by a security guard. There were no benches to sit and try on shoes. There were no mirrors in the shoe area to be able to try on shoes. There was only one dressing room functioning at the time. Employees did not seem friendly and welcoming. Last week, I purchased some items and paid by credit card. This is only relevant because I came in yesterday to do a return for two items. I brought in the receipt with me and even had my card on me. However, the cashier, Vanessa, refused to issue a refund to my original form of payment on my credit card and gave me a gift card instead. Clearly, she messed up something and didn't want to admit it. So, she kept trying to give me the gift card. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she is the manager. She gave me a number to call. Then, when I did call, Vanessa picked up the phone and said I have to call back tomorrow. We got into an argument then she said the store manager will be there tomorrow and kept asking me leave the store with the bad attitude .If she is not the manager why she lied to me from beginning. I even threatened to call the police because it felt like she was stealing from me in refusing to refund back my money. Honestly, this was the most unprofessional and horrible customer service I have ever experienced. I will be reporting this store and their employee to customer service. read more

I bought an item and then tried to return it, I had the tags on the item and had my physical receipt. She takes it off and tears it, then goes on to say I need to go return it to the original Burlington that I purchased my items from . This is a large store with plenty of merchandise. I found a very nice Ralph Lauren Men's suit for a great deal with several very nice ties, belt, and shoes to go with it. Combined savings was over $600. I give 3 stars because customer service was lacking and the men's suits were not hung in correct sizes. read more

Burlington's has definitely improved over the last 6 months I input a not so sweet review last year concerning the cleansing is an order of clothing since then I have seen gradual improvements there are now displays throughout the store decor ideas for the home and props with dress mannequins, one thing is a sure fact the cleaner the story is the less likely people will contribute to missing it up example if you're in a minefield of trash there's no harm in adding one wrapper to the trash pile, when it is clean no one wants to be pointed out for messing it up, good job upper management for helping with these things into shape there are people like me who appreciate it. Now that is out of the way stop resetting the store so much consistency and ease of shopping means a quick purchase hard to find items pushes the customer to others outlets that they know and are familiar with keep up the good work burdens I have items from all over the world and Burlington's have some of the same items for half or even a fraction of the price, throw in more colors to combat the competition like red purplegreen yellow and orange pants oh houndstooth patterns that we men love I noticed they sell out fast keep them coming again Burlington's keep up the good work. read more

Today we went to the new Burlington on fm.1960 Houston/Spring area. I have always loved Burlington. As my adult son went in first and I was walking slower and was behind him a few seconds, the door greeter/ loss prevention person was at the door and was on his radio to someone else saying"watch him he is in the right front of the store" The greeter then walked in front of me to follow my son for a few seconds before turning around to go back to his post. I caught up with my son and told him what the guy said. It upset my son and we found an employee and asked for the manager. As we were talking to the employee the greeter kept coming around the corner and watching us. When he saw me catching him peeping around the corner at us he would duck back. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the manager to come out. We told him how awful it made my son feel to be accused of being watched like he was a thief. The manager made the greeter apologize to us and then the greeter said he would have to be more discrete in the future. We will never set foot in that store again because of the way we were treated. Please DO NOT SHOP at this store unless you want to be treated like a thief. read more

This is Burlington...have you ever been to a Burlington before? I must admit that this place is surprisingly organized and a lot better than most Burlington's...but it is still just organized confusion! There are a few things that struck me about the place: 1. I like the automated machine that tells you a register is open when checking out 2. The place is labeled pretty well and workers try their best to keep things clutter-free 3. Clearance sections are adequately displayed 4. It is a huge store overall - even by Burlington standards I can't really be mad with any place that keeps an adequate big and tall section. There is also a layaway section for those who made need it. Overall a decent store that gives you decent pricing and this particular location is better organized than most. You more than likely will not be disappointed with this place. I say this even though you would think the big and tall section is on the opposite side of the store from the fitting rooms! The fitting room for us just happens to be tucked away in the coats island. Don't be like me and just pull your pants off in the middle of the store because you didn't feel like walking and lugging clothes around! Also remember to check your clothing for rips and holes. In my opinion, shopping at Burlington for clothes and such can be beneficial for anyone who doesn't want to spend too much on clothes and other products. Why can't I ever find the Burlington they show in commercials with that cool little cartoon girl?! She makes Burlington sound so chique and like the perfect store! IT IS NOT! Burlington is turning into such a dump! It is like parts of Wal-mart and Ross thrown together! It is such a huge store, it is impossible to keep organized, I guess. But everytime I go in there, the merchandise is always just thrown wherever, mixed up, unorganized, and looks totally unappealling! For example, I literally went in just to buy a pair of sandals because most everything is really cheap there and that's what I wanted. The shoe section was so unorganized, like I said, I couldn't find a sandal I hardly liked and when I found a pair that was somewhat decent, I only found one shoe in my size, not a pair! I can't tell you how many shoe boxes I opened and only one shoe was inside or none at all! WHAT?! So...after I waited in line for 30 minutes...YES...30 MINUTES...the lady tells me I have 2 different sizes of sandals. Oh great! I asked her if I could pay for them now and then just walk back to the shoe section to find the right size of one of the shoes. Luckily she said that was fine. So, the moral of this review is...only go into a Burlington Coat Factory if you absolutely have to b/c the place is always a dump, the line is too long, and you'll most likely walk out annoyed! I drop in this location here & there just to see what I can find. Over the years it seems the selection they have has gone down a bit, but it's still ok. The staff here is usually pretty nice and I've never had problems if I needed to return something. I gotta give it to them, they've got more patience than I could ever have. They keep it pretty organized for what it's worth. But you can only do so much when you clean one side of a rack, go the other side, then some unmonitored ruggrat comes behind you pulling all the clothes off the hangers or knocking shoes off the shelves! Not sure if this location is not so high on the totum pole or what, but they haven't given this one a make over like many of the other stores in town. So no it doesn't have the ultra bright lighting, big windows or elaborate displays. But hey, I come here to shop & find good deals, not look at a pretty wood floor. And I've gotta say I've found some pretty good deals here. One thing I've noticed is this location tends to do well with the range of sizes. Kids, women, men & shoe departments are pretty well stocked at all times. I can't speak to the Baby Depot dept. as I haven't needed nor do I want to need to be shopping for myself in that section anymore! LOL but standing in line I've seen other customers catch some steals on higher priced car seats & cribs. All in all, this location is A-OK for sure. Ugh, this Burlington is a joke. I've shopped at locations in San Antonio and never had an experience like this. I took my sister in law here over the weekend to set up a baby registry. We went to the baby department and signed her up at the kiosk. She went to customer service to get the scanner, and it took forever. The employees told her that they'd never done it before and weren't sure how to get it set up! So after she finally got the scanner, we went back to the Baby Depot to pick out items. Of course the first thing we scan (a pair of baby shoes), the scanner won't accept it. So she went back to customer service. They claim to fix it, again try to scan, it won't scan. There was a very polite young man working in the baby department (he was the only bright spot in this whole trip). We handed him the scanner and told him something wasn't working. He looks at the scanner and goes "is this one of ours?". Well, yea. So he apologized and walked it back up to the customer service desk. We continued to walk around and look at items. When he came back he stated that the problem was the scanner wasn't charged all the way, we'd need to do the registry another time. So yesterday, she went back to this Burlington, apparently talked to someone else who worked there. She was told that she wasn't able to register for clothing or "small stuff", that she was only able to put "big items" on her registry! Excuse me? I know several people over the years who have had Burlington baby registries and they all got clothing and "small stuff". She told them to forget it, she was going to Babies R Us. Out of my own curiosity, I went looking through random baby registries on the web site. And guess what? Just about all of them had clothing and "small" ticket items on their registries! read more

One star for customer service. I took a few pairs of bras to checkout. One came without tags, but it they were all the same brand. The cash rep rang up the others and called the dept for a price lookup. She asked if I would wait at the side so she could ring others up. I obliged. 10 minutes later my bf offered to help me find the prices himself because it was taking a long time. Cash rep didn't acknowledge me at this time. 5 minutes later, she turned around and said, well they didn't call me are you sure you still want them? I told her my boyfriend was looking for a pair of bras with the same prices so I would still wait. She said okay. He came back and hadn't found anything. I told the rep I was going to search one more time to see if I could find the same pair with price tags on so she could ring them up. She didn't acknowledge me. I left and returned with a pair with tags on. The cash rep stared at me blankly for a second and said, "I thought you left so I canceled the transaction. You're going to have to get at the back of the line". I stared at her, and my bf found a shorter line and told me, come on, let's just come over here and check out. thankfully, the next cash rep was a lot more courteous and rang up my transactions quickly. She even told me thank you when she saw that I brought products with tags for her to ring up. I was so frustrated with the service of that one particular cash rep. I understand canceling my transaction if she thought I had left, but she didn't call again when no one responded to her request, and she told me to get to the back of the line when I had already waited +20 minutes at her register for help. Prices are reasonable. place is a mess because of a lack of organization. The bf did find a $10 CK polo, so that's nice. read more

It took me a less than 5min to find what I was looking for, but I would an awesome deal. I found two belts for the price of 9.99 plus tax and a pair of PJs for 9.99. I payed a visit not long ago to purchase some thin fur boots and came across just finding one shoe so I walked around the whole store to find the pair, but nothing. So I kept looking for a different color which took me an eternity to find the box, because the box was placed in the wrong section. Usually at department stores I find things quick & easy, this is more expensive but less stressful. I don't recommend Burlington at this location if you lack of time or have no patience.
