I used to shop at the AT Embarcadero store in SF for work clothes. But that store was permanently closed due to COVID. This is the closest AT store to me. I'm in need of new work pants because I gained 10 lbs during the pandemic and I'm now back in the office. Sigh! The COVID belly. So I drove all the way here to this store. The two ladies Ping and Katie went above and beyond trying to help me. I tried at least 15 pairs of pants and finally found a winner. They were very friendly and patient. I'll definitely be back!

My mom and I both purchased purses and identical wallets from this store. Unfortunately, when we got home we discovered the zippers on both wallets were defective. We both love the purses we purchased and have no issues but it was great knowing they stand behind their products. They also have some cute clothing - sweaters, dresses along with some decorative pillows and more. Their bulldog, Lovely was there the second time we went and she was so friendly and sweet. I really love shopping here. I have always loved thrifting the thrill of the hunt and not knowing…read morewhat you will find. Eco Thrift has NO fitting rooms so plan accordingly. I wear layered clothing or leggings and a slim fitting top. The store is well organized and sections are clearly marked. As with many thrift stores there are different colors marked down every day please listen for the announcements or check the board. I would recommend grabbing a cart because last time I went I found quite a bit and was carrying around my treasures. As with thrifting you never know what you are going to discover. The last time I went I came out with two fantastic finds one a H&M black cotton dress suitable for work wear and take you straight into evening or happy hour. The ruffle tiered dress I admit I paid more than I wanted to but Google came to the rescue and I saw several original retail prices and I found it over $ 100.00 brand new so I decided to splurge and purchase the dress. Service I can't comment on because I usually don't ask for help and there is self checkout available. But I don't know if my last encounter with customer service I should be flattered or insulted. I was checking out my items and the lady that was working at the front thought I was stealing my OWN jacket that I came in wearing! I said this jacket is mine check the cameras I was wearing it when I came in here! All in all a great thrift store but give yourself time because there is so much to look at. I find if I give myself time I find more treasures rather than just rushing through. Also, keep your finds close at hand with the case of the orange ruffle dress after people saw me put it on they were asking if I was going to purchase it while I was trying it on! There were people definitely waiting for me to put it down. Good Luck and Happy thrifting

I'm very disappointed with my recent experience with Grails SF. I've purchased several pairs of…read moreshoes from them in person in the past, but after this experience, I won't be returning as a customer. I placed an order through their website, only to have it canceled and refunded the following day because the shoes had been listed at the wrong price. I was told the pricing error was due to an "intern" mistakenly listing the item incorrectly. While I understand that mistakes happen, I don't believe customers should bear the consequences of a business's pricing error. Given Grails SF's reputation, I expected them to honor the listed price or, at the very least, offer a reasonable solution. I even asked if they could provide a discount on a future purchase as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience, but I was told there was nothing they could do. That response was especially disappointing and left me feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my opinion of the business. Because of the lack of customer service and willingness to make things right, I won't be purchasing from Grails SF again.
