This store has good bargains. I sometimes buy things from their website, more selections and better prices than the store itself. The best part is you can return online items to the store. This store is better than Ross, less crowded and has better brands. You still have to know basic prices for the items you're buying so you don't over pay. Many items are previous year models. The store is well stocked with many new items during Christmas time. You can get gifts for everyone in one place. The rest of the year the store looks more empty. 50% of the items in the store are junks. Many items look like they have been sitting there for 5+ years. You just have to know what is worth buying and don't assume everything is new and cheap. The best part is it opens late. There's no security guy hovering over everyone like at Ross. Fairly organized, but its hit or miss. I can't deny that they have a nice selection of cheap bras.. ok so maybe I shouldn't be cheap on those, but for 2packs for 8 bucks you really can't go wrong! And they are cute too and come in every size! I can't even find bras at target in my size! They have some really nice shoes as well, I saw seychelles brand there, but they were $50 so I had to pass. If you are a perfect medium (or large) or go here not looking for anything in particular, you are in for a treat. If you are another size or need something specific, you will experience what most people experience at this store. I realize that the customers help to make this store unkempt and unorganized, but really? When the staff is standing around chatting for extended periods of time and cannot even be bothered to answer a question, it is pretty bad. Have them organize the sizes on the rack and make sure things are returned to their correct place, like you would at another Burlington or any other store in the country. Even thrift stores manage better organization and professionalism than this store. The Burlington in Milpitas and Fremont provide a much better experience. If you really wish to shop at Burlington, go to one of those instead of wasting your time at the Dublin store. read more

SOME of the people who work here are completely rude. I have encountered the manager and one of the cashiers, they are very helpful and nice, but everyone else needs to pull a stick or two out of their butt. I actually went to return two tunics, with receipt and tags, the tunics didn't fit well so I decided to return them the next morning. I didn't try it on there because I feel uncomfortable trying clothes on there. The older ladies who work there are rude and speak in a language other than English to each other while looking people up and down. The woman cashier asked why I got 10% off and I said there were threads coming off the sweater tunics on the sides and edges so the cashier the day before gave me 10% off ($1.60 off, but never said it was FINAL SALE). The receipt never stated final sale either. She gave me attitude looked all around the tunics and said some BS, after looking at me with a face, "I can try, but the machine won't process it when it's final sale like that". I said, the receipt says return within 30 days of purchase, the cashier never said it was final sale. She continues to ask "WHO WAS IT?", I said "Whoever was working yesterday...." like I know the entire staff working??? So she does the keystrokes and everything went through with no problems. She didn't even need a manager or supervisor to approve anything. She just didn't want to accept my return, for who knows why? If my items were in awful condition, then I would understand. I just asked about a discount for the threads coming out, because it's better to ask than not....anyway to SAVE SOME $$$ in this economy, am I right? I usually try to buy things I am able to fix at home easily just to save a buck or two. It adds up to a Starbucks coffee! Anyways, the store has nice items for generally good prices. I found everything I needed for an upcoming wedding, work and work out clothes and the perfect weeding gift. I got my shoes to go with the dress from here. They were a good brand an they have a good selection of women's clothing no matter your body size from small to size 24. All the clothes were nice and organized store and bathroom were clean. I appreciated being able to use a clean bathroom after a long day of shopping I should have looked at this store first. The staff was very friendly. The shoe section was a mess as a lot of the shoes were all over the floor but I appreciated that one of the sales associates who was already clocked out spent a few minutes picking up shoes up off the floor and back onto the racks while another customer was complaining to her she was cool calm and professional in her interaction and apologized ; I didn't mind picking up some shoes and putting them nicely back in the shelf to help as I found me shoes for work, my casual shoes and shoes for an upcoming wedding all in one place. Review based only on the baby/kids section. Boy was I shocked that it was 2-levels...having never been I assumed it was about the size of Ross. The top floor is half baby/kids. They have toys, strollers, bottles pretty much anything you'd need. I was able to find a really cute holiday dress for my daughter for $15.99. There were lots of Carter's clothes (my favorite for casual wear). We'll definitely be back when we need more clothes for her! read more

Went there today to get items for our trip & my sick hubby at home. I had a friend & a 5 yr old with us. Bought OBSESSION cologne gift set for hubby. During the ride home, about 4 exits away, the 5 yr old tried to touch the cologne bottle & poked a hole in plastic. Husband said did not like that brand, so I called store less than an hour later to see if I could return item, with my receipt, tomorrow. Was told by store manager, "NO. Plastic is ripped." For those of us not looking for graffitti covered jeans; there's a limited selection of other clothes with some decent finds from time to time. The prices here aren't even that great sometimes; chances are you can find comparable merchandise at target, costco or old navy and not have to look through racks and racks of clothes. The other reviewers are right about the baby depot; you can find some really good deals here especially on the clearance racks. The one real issue I have with this store is that so much of it made up of 1 of a kind items...its really discouraging when you finally find something you like; only thats in the wrong size. read more

I went to Burlington earlier today, 11/16/2015, and made a few returns. At the end of my return, I was surprised that the cashier gave me an option to get my refund as cash when I originally bought the items with my debit card. But instead, I accepted the cash. I left to deposit the money into my bank account and found out that the money was counterfeit money. I lost $40 due to their irresponsible cashiers. I returned to speak to the manager and she told me there was nothing she can do since I left the store and came back. I told her that I would have never found out it was counterfeit money if I never left to go to the bank. Because of this situation, I do not trust Pleasanton Burlington Coat Factory.. Went in to buy shoes and picked some out. When I went up to the register there's was one cashier ringing up a customer and two people ahead of me. The cashier was seriously taking like 5 minutes per customer and they didn't even have that many items. The lady in front of me put her stuff back and left and after waiting another 5 minutes I did the same. It's like the cashier was working in slow motion and didn't care at all about her job. I went here once and found a tuxedo shirt and bow tie for super cheap (for a work gig) and the other time was just a random hunt. You need patience to find those awesome things, but you will likely find something if you look hard enough. MUCH cleaner then the one in the Great Mall. I'm giving one start to the worker that helped me(sorry didn't get your name) and the lost and prevention employee, Dominic. They had excellent customer service! As for the Manager, Alicia that worked the night shift on 11/21, she has the worst customer service and I have no idea how she is a manager! There were two lines. One line had about 4 people and the other line 3. So I decided to go to Alicia's line because it was shorter. Both lines had customer issues so it was taking forever. After waiting in Alicia's line for maybe less than 5 mins, she tells everyone there's only one line and for us to go in the other line which was leading to the first register!! There's NO arrows or signs saying that was the line. Customers were angry because they had to go into another line. One lady was pissed so she threw her items down and left. I don't blame her, I would have done the same but my daughter really wanted this jacket. Anyways, I was so upset I decided to talk to Alicia and kept my voice down so I wouldn't make a scene. I told her it was bad customer service to have her customers that were waiting go back to a line that had NO sign that there was one line only! She tells me over and over that there's only been ONE line here. Ok, I understand its always been that way, however, I don't work there, how do I know there's ONE line!??? She tells me she saw people in her line and she directed them the right way. Ok, she did but 5 mins later while the other line got longer! So by the time we got in the first line we had to wait another 5 mins or more! Luckily she opened another register. And lucky me I was next and of course I get her register! As I walk up, she tells another employee to ring me up! That's considered a weak person! If I were a Manager, I would have taken the angry customer and try to change her experience around! Anyways, her service was so bad that I wouldn't even want to step in the store again! Her responses were unprofessional! As for the store, my daughter thought it was a thrift store because the clothing were cheaper but you had to be careful because most clothing had something wrong with it. The thrift store is probably more organize than this place. Looks like their employees need to learn how to match sizes to the right hangers. The hanger would say Small but when you look in the clothing it's a large. Items on the floor and place is a disaster! Employees look stressed out and it's not even the start of the holiday shopping!!! I would NOT recommend this place at all for Christmas shopping! I was at Burlington last night in the check out line. I guess it was the on duty manager who was trying to assist a cashier (a middle aged Indian woman) who I have seen working there and is really a nice person. Well, the lady in line was trying to get money back or a return from lay-a-way, which personally the prices are so cheap there why would you need lay-away there? I thought that disappeared with the blue light special in the 80's? Anyhow, on to my point, this MOD was a complete you know what! She scolded the Indian cashier so loudly that the line backed up to the men's section could hear and she was so demeaning! I could not believe that she just stood there and took it! I felt so so bad for the cashier. Whoever this MOD is needs to learn how to treat people as she would like to be treated. Made my entire shopping experience feel very ghetto-like and made me feel like looking for a good bargain was the last thing I wanted to do at a place that treats their employees like that.
