Came in here last night with a specific need in mind: bridesmaid dresses for cheap. Casual but nice cocktail attired in a specific color is all that's required. I was pleasantly surprised, they had a large selection of affordable dresses to choose from...i almost started trying on stuff just because!! I came away empty handed, but was really close to purchasing a potential dress. Purused men's formalwear, it was alright. I will stop here for future dress needs for sure! :) read more

One star because you can find some hidden gems in this store, could be due to the fact that not many people shop at this location and I can understand why. For starters the entire store looked so run down. We had a baby stroller and took the elevator and it wouldn't stop fully before the doors open. So that scared me a bit. Second, and this is the main reason why I will never be coming back to this location. There's an employee, who I didn't even know what an employee, I thought she was a customer just like the handful of people that were shopping that day, but anyway, she kept circling around me and my boyfriend. I thought it was weird at first but I honestly thought she was just looking for something specific (we were upstairs, checking the newborn outfits and swaddles and blankets when I first noticed her). We didn't anticipate buying a lot of things so we were using the bottom of the stroller for any big purchases that I couldn't carry and hung any baby clothes we decided we wanted to get on the handle or the stroller. We took the elevator back downstairs and looked at the jackets and sweaters in the men section before checking out. My boyfriend then points her out again, walking up and down the aisles near him and he said he's starting to get uncomfortable because she kept looking at him (mind you he was pushing the stroller now and still assumed she was just a customer). I took the stroller and began walking towards the front, still just looking as I went. The employee then walks passed me only a few inches away with her hands in her pockets and scanned me up and down as she walked passed. She circled to the other aisle and made her way to the register and that's when we realized she did in fact worked there. She was eyeing us as she talked to the young man working the register. She was making it very obvious she was talking about us. The young man then coughed as we approached the counter, a signal for her to stop, and she immediately changed the subject about purchasing head phones or something. I've never felt so unwelcome the second we walked into a store we've never been to. read more

Burlington Coat Factory competes in the same space as Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls. This store is big since it has two stories. Definitely can grab some nice buys. There are some higher ends like Simple Human, Polo, etc. read more

This store has good bargains. I sometimes buy things from their website, more selections and better prices than the store itself. The best part is you can return online items to the store. This store is better than Ross, less crowded and has better brands. You still have to know basic prices for the items you're buying so you don't over pay. Many items are previous year models. The store is well stocked with many new items during Christmas time. You can get gifts for everyone in one place. The rest of the year the store looks more empty. 50% of the items in the store are junks. Many items look like they have been sitting there for 5+ years. You just have to know what is worth buying and don't assume everything is new and cheap. The best part is it opens late. There's no security guy hovering over everyone like at Ross. Nobody is stealing these junks. read more

Fairly organized, but its hit or miss. I can't deny that they have a nice selection of cheap bras.. ok so maybe I shouldn't be cheap on those, but for 2packs for 8 bucks you really can't go wrong! And they are cute too and come in every size! I can't even find bras at target in my size! They have some really nice shoes as well, I saw seychelles brand there, but they were $50 so I had to pass. Great selection of coats of course! I also liked their jewelry. Everything is decently organized but not everything is worth buying, but I came out of here happy and I could have stayed longer. read more

Prices: 4 stars. Selection: 3.5 stars. Customer Service: One star. The Good: Tons of bargains. The selection is variable but often excellent. A great place for coats, luggage, linens and towels (all upstairs). For some reason all the shoes I've tried here run narrow, what's with that? The Bad: Worst customer service ever. Looooong check-out lines. Incompetent staff. The last time we were there will be our LAST time at BCF due to an unhinged check-out woman who was incredibly disorganized and talking to herself. She couldn't keep track of what she had already rung up and kept ringing the same items repeatedly. Trying to communicate this to her was like trying to instruct a cat how to play cribbage. We were there for 45 minutes while she argued with other staff about how to correct her numerous errors. She was bizarre enough that I found the ordeal amusing, but still ... read more

My first time here and lived here for almost 2 years now. Been to other Burlington stores and this store was amazingly clean! All the racks and shelves were neat! Wish I could've shopped a little longer. I went in because I was killing time while waiting to pick up hubby at Bart. Did find a hamper in the short time I was there. I will definitely be back. read more

Comparing to San Jose this Burlington looks like a Chanel boutique :)) We moved a week ago to Pleasanton and were surprised how clean and quiet was this store read more

I found what I wanted. I needed an inexpensive work jacket that I can take to a construction site. It can get dirty and still look professional. The racks were all mixed up and the second floor doesn't have a mirror? It's not where I would shop for my normal wardrobe but it worked for what I wanted read more

If you are a perfect medium (or large) or go here not looking for anything in particular, you are in for a treat. If you are another size or need something specific, you will experience what most people experience at this store. I realize that the customers help to make this store unkempt and unorganized, but really? When the staff is standing around chatting for extended periods of time and cannot even be bothered to answer a question, it is pretty bad. Have them organize the sizes on the rack and make sure things are returned to their correct place, like you would at another Burlington or any other store in the country. Even thrift stores manage better organization and professionalism than this store. The Burlington in Milpitas and Fremont provide a much better experience. If you really wish to shop at Burlington, go to one of those instead of wasting your time at the Dublin store. read more

Good prices, but small selection when compared to their San Francisco or Newark locations. We bought some clothing in a 2-pack. When we got home and opened it up, there was only one item inside, not two. We went to their Hayward location to return it, but they said that we had to return it to the Dublin store since it was their mistake in selling it to us. Hmmmmm .... Easy shopping mall parking. read more

I love Burlington because you can find really great things for a really good deal. anytime I need to find a gift or even something for myself, I can find it here without breaking the bank. read more

SOME of the people who work here are completely rude. I have encountered the manager and one of the cashiers, they are very helpful and nice, but everyone else needs to pull a stick or two out of their butt. I actually went to return two tunics, with receipt and tags, the tunics didn't fit well so I decided to return them the next morning. I didn't try it on there because I feel uncomfortable trying clothes on there. The older ladies who work there are rude and speak in a language other than English to each other while looking people up and down. The woman cashier asked why I got 10% off and I said there were threads coming off the sweater tunics on the sides and edges so the cashier the day before gave me 10% off ($1.60 off, but never said it was FINAL SALE). The receipt never stated final sale either. She gave me attitude looked all around the tunics and said some BS, after looking at me with a face, "I can try, but the machine won't process it when it's final sale like that". I said, the receipt says return within 30 days of purchase, the cashier never said it was final sale. She continues to ask "WHO WAS IT?", I said "Whoever was working yesterday...." like I know the entire staff working??? So she does the keystrokes and everything went through with no problems. She didn't even need a manager or supervisor to approve anything. She just didn't want to accept my return, for who knows why? If my items were in awful condition, then I would understand. I just asked about a discount for the threads coming out, because it's better to ask than not....anyway to SAVE SOME $$$ in this economy, am I right? I usually try to buy things I am able to fix at home easily just to save a buck or two. It adds up to a Starbucks coffee! Anyways, the store has nice items for generally good prices. There's good finds, but if you can't stand workers ignoring you, or staring you down for no reason, probably even talking about you in a language you can't understand, then don't come here! read more

Clean & Huge! Not sure why is only has 2.5 stars... This location is by far larger and cleaner than the others I've been to. Yes, it is sometimes messy as every store is but it's worth it. They have two floors full of product and surprises. Happy shopping!!:) (My review is ONLY on the store itself and what it has to offer.) read more

I used to love this place but this location is always a mess. I love to come for its deals Im a mother of 5 and deals come in so handy. But lately it's been a real miss. Although I did find my son some name brand shoes for pretty cheap and he loved them. This place lacks customer service when walking around the store they just stare at you not even ask if you need help they will just stare. The cashiers are rude. This place used to be a lot better then it is now. read more

I found everything I needed for an upcoming wedding, work and work out clothes and the perfect weeding gift. I got my shoes to go with the dress from here. They were a good brand an they have a good selection of women's clothing no matter your body size from small to size 24. All the clothes were nice and organized store and bathroom were clean. I appreciated being able to use a clean bathroom after a long day of shopping I should have looked at this store first. The staff was very friendly. The shoe section was a mess as a lot of the shoes were all over the floor but I appreciated that one of the sales associates who was already clocked out spent a few minutes picking up shoes up off the floor and back onto the racks while another customer was complaining to her she was cool calm and professional in her interaction and apologized ; I didn't mind picking up some shoes and putting them nicely back in the shelf to help as I found me shoes for work, my casual shoes and shoes for an upcoming wedding all in one place. I also appreciated that they opened two more registers when the line got long and the staff were friendly to each other and looked like they liked working here. read more

Rude service A cashier named Jeff was very rude and disrespectful. I was next in line and he didn't even care. He picked and choose who was next even though there was a line of people waiting. He ignored me when I was telling him I was next in line. Will never enter that place again. read more

Review based only on the baby/kids section. Boy was I shocked that it was 2-levels...having never been I assumed it was about the size of Ross. The top floor is half baby/kids. They have toys, strollers, bottles pretty much anything you'd need. I was able to find a really cute holiday dress for my daughter for $15.99. There were lots of Carter's clothes (my favorite for casual wear). We'll definitely be back when we need more clothes for her! read more

I love to do shopping here. It's a big one you can find all varieties including home needs and car needs what else everything, trust me the price is much lesser than the other. Excellent customer support, lot varieties I spent more than 2 hours I got my car stuff and home needs. This place is excellent for all needs. Will back read more

This is such a gross, unorganized, and under-stocked store! If you are looking to buy a small or medium mens coat, don't even both with this place. You won't find a coat your size. Not to mention they only carry cheap quality coats. The place is usually a mess and hard to find anything amidst the perpetual clearance signs. Don't go here. read more

This BCF is way nicer, cleaner, well stocked & organized than others I have been to. The Burlington I usually frequent smells like farts and is crowded with unattended children ;p so I found this location a real pleasant experience. read more

Worst customer service ever! They don't know how to treat their customers. Probably the Burlington coat factory in Hayward is nicer than this one. I went to go return something I wore once and something I didn't even wear. They so called manager said it look worn and and on the recipet said 30 day money back Guarantee if your not satisfied. But the rude ghetto manger would not give it to me! read more

I don't usually write negative reviews but I got a set of luggage here that I used once and the wheels would not roll once I packed the bags. I tried to return the suitcase and was not able to return the defective bag because they would not take it bag or exchange it for another bag. This store does not stand behind its product. I won't be buying anything from here again. read more

g-h-e-t-t-o! Not sure if it's just this burlington, or all of them; but a good portion of the mens section is devoted to urban attire. For those of us not looking for graffitti covered jeans; there's a limited selection of other clothes with some decent finds from time to time. The prices here aren't even that great sometimes; chances are you can find comparable merchandise at target, costco or old navy and not have to look through racks and racks of clothes. The other reviewers are right about the baby depot; you can find some really good deals here especially on the clearance racks. The one real issue I have with this store is that so much of it made up of 1 of a kind items...its really discouraging when you finally find something you like; only thats in the wrong size. read more

They do have a lot of coats. They also have a lot of other clothing items. They have a lot of faux ostentatious home decor items (ugly little statues and the like), none of which were to my liking. They have a lot of items you wouldn't expect them to carry, but these all seem to be impulse buys as there is no selection. Their Baby Depot section (http://www.yelp.com/biz/Wp_jBalTUgSzazIxpnRBzw?hrid=ejyUbLoKoAQ0hriKRDXP_Q&fsid=0XeX1Ic6n-jUnGlLLSkWsg) was a surprising find. read more

Went there today to get items for our trip & my sick hubby at home. I had a friend & a 5 yr old with us. Bought OBSESSION cologne gift set for hubby. During the ride home, about 4 exits away, the 5 yr old tried to touch the cologne bottle & poked a hole in plastic. Husband said did not like that brand, so I called store less than an hour later to see if I could return item, with my receipt, tomorrow. Was told by store manager, "NO. Plastic is ripped." I explained what happened and was treated very rude and hung up on. WHAT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Will never shop there again... read more

good place for some really good deals. for work i need white collared dress shirts and they have a huge selection and great prices. since i'm a food server my shirts are constantly getting dirty so this place is perfect to load up on shirts. also many good deals on casual pants, shirts, shorts and jackets. sure burlington is not the fanciest glamorous place but a damn good find for casual comfy indoor and outdoor wear. whatever you do avoid the location in concord that place is super ghetto and dirty! read more

its way way way way more organized than Hayward for sure!!!! But they didn't have anybody near the fitting rooms. or anywhere else to that matter!!! Clothes are okay. HUGE selection of very cute purses. Very nice sales staff.

I went to Burlington earlier today, 11/16/2015, and made a few returns. At the end of my return, I was surprised that the cashier gave me an option to get my refund as cash when I originally bought the items with my debit card. But instead, I accepted the cash. I left to deposit the money into my bank account and found out that the money was counterfeit money. I lost $40 due to their irresponsible cashiers. I returned to speak to the manager and she told me there was nothing she can do since I left the store and came back. I told her that I would have never found out it was counterfeit money if I never left to go to the bank. Because of this situation, I do not trust Pleasanton Burlington Coat Factory.. It was an eye opener and lesson learned. I will be reporting this to their corporate office. read more

Went in to buy shoes and picked some out. When I went up to the register there's was one cashier ringing up a customer and two people ahead of me. The cashier was seriously taking like 5 minutes per customer and they didn't even have that many items. The lady in front of me put her stuff back and left and after waiting another 5 minutes I did the same. It's like the cashier was working in slow motion and didn't care at all about her job. I can probably get the same quality shoes at Target or Walmart for less. I'm definitely considering not going back to Burlington in the future. Now that I've tried the shoes on I could even order the same ones from Amazon and not have to deal with slow cashiers. read more

Nope, you can't find that awesome pair of shoes you just fell in love with in you size. It's B.C.F, they're cheap and that's the way it works! So continue on you search pirate, there's treasure here for you somewhere! I went here once and found a tuxedo shirt and bow tie for super cheap (for a work gig) and the other time was just a random hunt. You need patience to find those awesome things, but you will likely find something if you look hard enough. MUCH cleaner then the one in the Great Mall. Seriously, that place is a zoo full of nasty customers that pick stuff up and drop it on the ground and tired workers. So for what it is, it's a good store. read more

I'm giving one start to the worker that helped me(sorry didn't get your name) and the lost and prevention employee, Dominic. They had excellent customer service! As for the Manager, Alicia that worked the night shift on 11/21, she has the worst customer service and I have no idea how she is a manager! There were two lines. One line had about 4 people and the other line 3. So I decided to go to Alicia's line because it was shorter. Both lines had customer issues so it was taking forever. After waiting in Alicia's line for maybe less than 5 mins, she tells everyone there's only one line and for us to go in the other line which was leading to the first register!! There's NO arrows or signs saying that was the line. Customers were angry because they had to go into another line. One lady was pissed so she threw her items down and left. I don't blame her, I would have done the same but my daughter really wanted this jacket. Anyways, I was so upset I decided to talk to Alicia and kept my voice down so I wouldn't make a scene. I told her it was bad customer service to have her customers that were waiting go back to a line that had NO sign that there was one line only! She tells me over and over that there's only been ONE line here. Ok, I understand its always been that way, however, I don't work there, how do I know there's ONE line!??? She tells me she saw people in her line and she directed them the right way. Ok, she did but 5 mins later while the other line got longer! So by the time we got in the first line we had to wait another 5 mins or more! Luckily she opened another register. And lucky me I was next and of course I get her register! As I walk up, she tells another employee to ring me up! That's considered a weak person! If I were a Manager, I would have taken the angry customer and try to change her experience around! Anyways, her service was so bad that I wouldn't even want to step in the store again! Her responses were unprofessional! As for the store, my daughter thought it was a thrift store because the clothing were cheaper but you had to be careful because most clothing had something wrong with it. The thrift store is probably more organize than this place. Looks like their employees need to learn how to match sizes to the right hangers. The hanger would say Small but when you look in the clothing it's a large. Items on the floor and place is a disaster! Employees look stressed out and it's not even the start of the holiday shopping!!! I would NOT recommend this place at all for Christmas shopping! I rather pay full price than go to this place with a rude manager and unorganized store! read more

I was at Burlington last night in the check out line. I guess it was the on duty manager who was trying to assist a cashier (a middle aged Indian woman) who I have seen working there and is really a nice person. Well, the lady in line was trying to get money back or a return from lay-a-way, which personally the prices are so cheap there why would you need lay-away there? I thought that disappeared with the blue light special in the 80's? Anyhow, on to my point, this MOD was a complete you know what! She scolded the Indian cashier so loudly that the line backed up to the men's section could hear and she was so demeaning! I could not believe that she just stood there and took it! I felt so so bad for the cashier. Whoever this MOD is needs to learn how to treat people as she would like to be treated. Made my entire shopping experience feel very ghetto-like and made me feel like looking for a good bargain was the last thing I wanted to do at a place that treats their employees like that. Poor Indian Cashier woman:( read more
