For a grocery store bakery, I've been impressed with the doughnuts at my local Meijer (although the selection is sadly wildly inconsistent). Walking past the bakery, I did a double take when I spotted these unicorn doughnuts. They looked incongruous in a grocery store and more like something I'd find at a gourmet doughnut shop or artisan bakery. Being a dude, I'm not really into unicorns, but these doughnuts looked too spectacular to pass up. At the risk of being called a girlie man by Arnold, I surreptitiously nabbed one from the display. Not only were the doughnuts coated in sweet vanilla icing, but there was also a thick and colorful buttercream mane. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. The flavor was a combination of butter in the body of the dough, along with vanilla from the icing. Unlike some chains (Dunkin), the layer of icing was thick and satisfying and that's before factoring in the extra frosting. I initially went there to request a price adjustment and then asked to purchase a Mega Millions lottery ticket. While I was filling out the ticket, the employee moved to another register to assist a different customer. When I finished, I informed her that I was ready. Instead of explaining the process calmly, she raised her voice and told me to go to the back of the line again . I explained that I have a disability and difficulty walking, which was apparent while I was moving around the store, but I did not feel that my circumstances were handled with patience or courtesy. I speak with an accent , I don't understand why such a rude attitude against me, when she saw me having difficulty walking. why if I have a disability elizabeth customer service wanted for me to go back in line , when I was in line first . I have never had anyone treated me without respect and I hope the store manager sees this posted , and provided appropriate customer human services guidance !

Donna advised the staff who updated the order that day were gone so nothing could be figured out. Then she offered the following: go home and call back tomorrow, assume the 2nd part of the order was cancelled and a credit would be received. Not acceptable. I asked the following: process a return for the item not received, check the store and see if the item is there, at least provide documentation that I was leaving the store without the full order. Response was a hard "NO" to all three. I advised the situation was not acceptable but nothing else was offered. When I persisted she became belligerent and reiterated there was nothing she could do (or was willing to do more accurately). I still persisted and finally she called someone else. It was then quickly figured out the 2nd part was indeed there but in a different location. If I had followed any of her suggestions I would have never received the rest of the order nor a refund. I have been a Kohl's customer for 35 years and this is by far the worst treatment I have ever received. This person should not have a job that includes customer service.

Also, when we were checking out, both cashiers were extremely personable. One checked us out, and the other wrapped some of the more fragile items, which I appreciated. The cashier who checked us out absolutely loved us and had a great conversation with us about how we all had so much in common with her. When it comes to location, the building is within a strip mall, and they have tons of parking and other popular shops around. Overall, my friends and I all said we would for sure return to the store! Apparently, vendors normally update their booths every few weeks unless they're out of state, so we will definitely come back soon to see the new stock. Since it is Christmas time, the store was FULL of Christmas and holiday decor. I loved the atmosphere because of this!
