I was already annoyed, after realizing my go-to laundry detergent may have been discontinued, but luckily I found some pairs of slippers I'd been meaning to purchase that almost made up for it. Unfortunately there were only three of a size I wanted there, so I pressed the button to ask a staff member if there were more. After waiting I pressed it again, and again. After that much waiting I challenged myself to press it as many times as I could before anyone showed up but paused at 100 more. Finally, someone did and she appeared so disinterested in helping, I didn't even realize she was there because of it for a few seconds. She didn't say 'hello' or anything remotely friendly but asked if I'd needed help in some curt way that reminded me of the difference between "get a good night's sleep" and "rest in peace." I asked if there were more of the slippers in that size, and she said there weren't in a similar way. Overall, I got the vibe she was annoyed to have had to help me. Nice slippers though! Also, please undiscontinue that one sunscreen I could use as white face paint. I was planning to use it for a costume, and every other sunscreen I've tried irritated one of my eyes. read more

I love target. But lately it has changed and not for the better! The new design is absolutely terrible! Customers cannot find anything and neither can the employees. When you ask an employee where something is they will stand there and look around confused and say I remember seeing it somewhere. My most recent visit was yesterday and today when they had an item that was buy one get one 50% off - I grabbed four items. I was at the cash register last evening, and I had an employee that was extremely rude to me. It distracted me from the purchase that I did not notice that they did not apply the discount. When I got home and reviewed the receipt I noticed that the discount was not applied and tried calling target six times - no one would pick up the phone. The only person that was able to pick up the phone was the CVS inside of target, they even confirmed that there is no operator and the phones will ring until someone just happens to walk by and pick it up. I had to make a trip back today so that they would honor my discount and when I walked in I noticed a whole bunch of employees standing around on their cell phones. First of all that is extremely unprofessional. Second of all no wonder no one is picking up their Work Phone over there, they are distracted. I went to the customer service where I told the employee the situation and there was no apology. No exchange of conversation instead just gum snapping. They applied the discount and when I walked out I realized they only applied it to two items instead of the four. I walked back in and told them that they messed up their math. Again, no exchange of a conversation. No apology just continued the gum chewing. I expect more from a large corporation. Train your employees! Tell them not to be standing around on their cell phones, tell them not to have gum in their mouth when they are on the job. And most importantly - have them apologize when they mess up multiple times to the customer! Shame on target! Also, what is the point of all the new pick up and go order parking spots that take up half your lot so customers cannot park. Especially if the pick up and go does not pick up their phones either!? read more

I'll be blunt here. It looks like the apocalypse hit the Target (I guess that can work as a pun too). The shelves haven't been restocked in a month and it's the most frustrating thing!! Either the managers are not doing what they are suppose to, or Target is going under. It is evident that when the shelves are empty, something is wrong. A huge box store that can't restock in paper lunch bags for 4 weeks (yes I keep an eye out) means trouble. And whoever is working this store can't organize and make the shelves look pretty?! Any left over inventory is just jumbled up, laying on its side, and mixed up. It's a mess! If this was my store I'd be embarrassed. The employees do not keep up with the inventory prices. They will have items for "sale" but when you ring it up, it's regular retail price. Just a mess. Comon Target! As a long time customer this is the last thing I want for my nearest Target. I don't know that I've ever been to a Tarzhay that wasn't good. That wasn't clean with bright lights and wide aisles and everything in stock. They're all great. This is one of those great ones. All the usual Target departments - men's and women's clothing, boys and girls clothing, electronics, housewares, toys and even the not-SuperTarget grocery section where you could maybe do a top-up shop but there's no meat and no produce. Still, pretty decent. I like this Target. I bought something, changed my mind the next day, and returned it. No questions asked. I also like that Target now has free wifi. read more

This Target has free wifi! I wish they all did. I came for a few specific items that were out of stock at a my local Target, but the prices here were slightly higher. Maybe it's to cover the cost of the wifi. But more likely because of the store being in Wheaton and all. That's ok though, since they do price matching at the service desk. I'm just glad they are well stocked and had tons of checkout lanes opened during the day. There was only 1 person working at the service desk, but she was super nice and very efficient! She took care of the 3 other people in line in record time and apologized to me for the wait. Are you kidding? That's probably one of the shortest wait with that many people in line. I showed her the Target.com prices and she price matched so quickly and rang me up so fast, I was a happy customer. Like most Targets this one is clean also. Well stocked and no so crammed. We went in the evening (7:30pm) on a Thursday and not to busy which is great. I like seeing the shelf's stocked and organized and this location did not let me down. We went in for specific items which we found with no problem and grab a couple other things. We choose to do self check out in stead of a short wait in line with a cashier. I live right by a Walmart which is so convenient however for organization and cleanliness there is no comparison as Target is leaps and bounds better in both those areas just wish it was a little closer to me. read more

I find it incredibly disappointing and frankly disgusting that Target has seemingly given into bigots and removed their pride section and even went so far as to not allow the sale of their pride merchandise. I went in on 5/31/23 the day before Pride Month and they had already pulled the sale of the greeting card i was trying to buy that says "I'm so happy you're queer" stating "Do not sell this item. Attach slip to item and remove item from sales floor." after i scanned it. I was forced to get a manager to be able to buy it, she rang me up for a miscellaneous item. Then I was in 5/26/23, still in pride month, and the section had been entirely removed and taken down. Target has been one of the only stores for years to have a pride collection that I look forward to and buy from every single year. The employees at self-checkout and throughout the store visually harass customers while shopping and checking out. I understand them wanting to have decent surveillance but it feels like borderline profiling for certain (minorities, younger aged, appearance etc) individuals. Pretty standard Target. It isn't a SuperTarget so the food is a little more limited. They have the new CVS pharmacy. Staff is nice and I have seen them open more checkout lanes multiple times when it was crowded. I have heard staff gossiping/chatting unprofessionally a few times. I would say they have a decent selection of the stuff from target.com. One complaint is that their women's clearance clothing is always a disaster. Also, they had clearance maternity clothes mixed with regular which was not ideal. Nice large parking lot. read more

This used to be "my" target when I was still living in the 60187. I still stop here on occasion if I'm in the area. Being low on funds, Santa will not be stopping at my place this year. However, I figured the least I could do is get the bf a card. Of course, no one ever goes into a Target for just "a few things." I ended up spending $50 (on gift cards, so my precious debit/credit card info is safe). Due to the security breach (I'm guessing), the store is giving everyone 10% off today and tomorrow, which is applied at the register when you check out. I found a card for the bf. Then I remembered I needed a gift for a Holiday Grab-Bag at his relative's house. Found something- done. Then I found myself wandering.... wandering....wandering. Oh wait, we were out of fish oil! So into my basket went a 400 count of softgels. But THEN I needed a gift bag and tissue paper for the grab bag gift. Oh hey look, the new Cosmo is out. Into the basket that went (I honestly don't know why I still buy that magazine. I haven't read one cover-to-cover in over five years). I also ended up buying a Febreeze vent clip for my car, some anti-frizz hair gunk, and a few other things. So you see, I went in for a card, and ended up leaving with more than that. I'm sure everyone can relate. The store was a madhouse, seeing as how it's the Saturday before Christmas. I didn't even think about that when I went today. The one thing I don't understand about this store, is everytime I go here, the security gates by the door beep when I walk in. Every. Single. Time. I don't know what on earth sets them off. I can go to any other store without issue. It's gotten to the point now where I'll only walk into this store with my phone, debit card (or cash), and my keys. At first I thought it was someone else who walked in with me, but I'd exit the store and the same thing would happen. It's so weird; I don't understand it. This target has an excellently sized parking lot, convenient for times with an overflow of customers. The general organization of the store is neat and makes for a very easy shopping experience. The aisles are kept clean and stocked fully, especially important during the pandemic. Although there are sometimes shortages with the higher demand pandemic items, a restock within a few days is a guarentee. Their COVID response is a pillar of their care for their customers. They have an hour for higher risk shoppers. The self checkouts are sanitized after each customer uses them. The carts and hand held baskets are also sanitized. Upon entering the store you are politely greeted by an employee who checks the number of people in the store and enforces the mask policy. On one occasion, I witnessed the staff enforcing their mask policy. The customer was swiftly taken care of, reducing the risk for themself and the other shoppers. This Target takes the pandemic seriously, something to be greatly appreciated. The customer service is excellent and attentive. The atmosphere of the Target varies on the time of day. On some occasions, there is no music playing, making for an eerie experience. But overall, this store makes for a great shopping experience. read more

This Target is about 2 miles from where we live, so I feel like we're always there. There's really nothing special about this particular location. The employees are friendly, the store is clean and they always seem to have what we're looking for. Because we shop there so much we got the Target debit card to get 5% off each purchase - totally worth it! Probably the best part about this Target is that it has a Starbucks! I ordered an item from a wedding registry for pick up. It was already in a grocery cart and ready for me to take out to the car. When I got to the car, I noticed it was dented. I brought it back. The service representative went to the person who had collected the item and she said it was the only one left. They knew it was dented and tried to pass it off anyway. The refund was not a problem. However, Target, instead of wasting customer's time, maybe you can let them know if an item that they ordered for pick up is damaged. You have email addresses. I then received an email, saying how can we fix this. When I clicked on the link, there was no way to leave feedback. It made me feel like as a customer I'm expected to take any old piece of junk home and my time is not valued. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE had me SELF-SERVE. Yup, I had to do part of THEIR job. I was trying to return a shirt that had been purchased and was missing its tags. The tags were missing when I bought it, but I had purchased two of them. The girl working the desk made a call for someone and everyone was busy. Instead of asking if I wouldn't mind waiting, she asked if I would go back and find another of the same item. Look, I'm not opposed to helping myself. But I could have offered. How are you going to ask the customer in customer service to do someones job? Are you flippin' kidding me? Bad service practice. The rest of the transaction went smoothly from there on. To me, this Target does not have an appealing layout. The women's and junior's sections are so cramped, I don't even want to look at the clothes. It's almost impossible to get through with a stroller, let alone a shopping cart. The personal care/soaps/pharmacy/cosmetic section kinda bothers me too with the way it's broken up across the main aisle. There are always lines a few shoppers deep at every checkout, and I don't believe I shop during peak hours (think midmorning on a weekday). Still, it gets at least two stars just by the sheer virtue of being a Target. read more

Very nice Target store. They now have produce and a large food selection. They never seem to be out of anything I come for. Their clothing is fashionable, in stock, and doesn't morph into a different shape after I wash it twice. Lines are generally short and fast. It's clean. The bathroom is decently clean, too. I liked this Target. I chose to go to this Target instead of the Lombard Target, even though it was a longer drive. The Lombard Target scares me, the vibes are just no good. This Target was comfortable, and I knew it well. I could easily pick up my things, and go on my way with little difficulty. Their first mistake, was taking away the Chobani oat yogurt, which was the best yogurt I have ever eaten in my entire, sad life. I went to five different Targets, and none of them carry it anymore. But that's beside the point. They have started to rearrange the Wheaton Target, changing the layout of the entire store. They do this on purpose to disorient their customers, to force them to wander around looking for what they need, and they have to see the whole store's inventory again. It feels like I'm just a little lab rat in their little maze experiments where they brainwash me to buy as many things as they can. They aren't even trying to hide the fact that they manipulate customers for their own profit. It's infuriating and disgusting, and the stupid circle lights they're putting in all the stores are ugly. Conveniently located off the 38 (Roosevelt). I get my prescriptions here and it's pretty quick. I've been impressed with their selection of groceries and slightly organo groovy stuff; they have good prices on items such as Annie's Naturals mac and cheese, TLC breakfast bars, Seventh Generation cleaning products. If I want organic groceries but am on a quick supply run as opposed to a major restock I can usually find what I want here. Pretty good selection of dinner kits by their house brand, too. read more

This used to be a better store, never great....but better. The store has been remodeled to a degree, and is also completely rearranged. The shopping experience is not streamlined at all, as the new layout is designed to have one walk around aimlessly. Their prices for food items are too high, and the selection is limited. They have all the GMO and high fructose corn syrup ingredient laden brands that you can shake a stick at though. The boxes, bags, jars, and canned goods however, are all neatly arranged on the shelves. Their home brand cookies are good, but bakery items are now divided up into about 4 different sections of the store. Perfect example of a poor layout, but this is the goal of course. To walk around aimlessly. Today when I went, the chocolate chip cookie containers were unfortunately soaked in condensation. This was one item that I specifically came for (did not buy), and now I'm questioning whether or not I will ever purchase again. Their clothing section is even more crammed together than it ever was, and I've noticed the brands they sell (like Hanes/Levi) are less quantity/quality for more money. Sign of the times perhaps, but they can do better. Home goods, health and beauty, along with bed and bath products are decent overall. Especially regarding price point. These departments have remained relatively consistent in my opinion. The electronics department is very basic, so you're much better off going to Best Buy or shopping online. If you need groceries, you're better off at an actual grocery store. If you want a one stop shop, my personal recommendation is Meijer. This Target store is in a convenient location, but I'm often asking myself why I still come here. With what used to be several visits per month a couple years ago, is now maybe once a month. Before I started working in the area, I didn't know t his Target existed...now I can count on two hands how many times I've been there in like 2 months... plenty! Nothing like killing your lunch hour in Target and leaving with all kinds of impulse items... Target, you win again. My first trip in here, I didn't think the cashier would let me leave without reinstating the Target Red Card/Credit Card I shared with my ex husband eons ago...she went on and on about how much SHE saved with it...not to mention the line behind me when I continued to nod my head and pay with my debit card. I know to watch out for her when I'm ready to check on, my lunch hour IS only an hour...and I tend to spend that just about that time wandering the store. Aside from that, I think the stock in this place could be taken care of a bit better, especially in the shoe department, but ... it's Target. I really don't love or hate any particular location, except for Super Target which is always an easy $100 upon checking out. They have a good amount of groceries here for odds and ends and just your usual ol' Target... as long as I'm working in the area, I'll keep coming here. read more

I had one of those "Oh crap, I need to buy birthday presents for that party tomorrow" revelations, so zoomed into this Target the other day. Everything was pretty standard and relatively well-stocked, though some things were not labeled with prices. I kind of hate how the kiddie crafts are separate from the toy area and more by the office supplies, so it meant I had to do a few back-and-forth trips to decide what I was buying for my cousins. I did end up finding some great deals ($4 markers, $2 DIY nameplate frames), so in all it was a successful trip. read more

This is the Target that I have gone to forever. It is big to get around and ever since they have opened the grocery department in 2010, I think more and more people have shopped here. This Target is friendly and has a Starbucks inside. They could open more lanes when needed, but I can't do anything about that. They always have great deals on items and for me, I like the entertainment section and when movies come out, they are usually well priced. From $14.99-$19.99. But after a week, the price changes.
