Pawel came out and priced it our worst case scenario (as requested) to include the veneer and retaining wall. Once we started and saw the retaining wall was intact, he adjusted the price down accordingly. He wasn't pushy at all, with the exception of the retaining wall adjustment, the price never changed. I've been in construction and facilities all my career, I had Zero issues with Pawel, never thought he was trying to take advantage of me and now have him redoing my back patio which is pavers.

My concrete driveway looks awful and needs to be replaced. I contacted Pawel, an owner of J&P, who stated that I must of used salt on my driveway which I do not and Pawel knew the truth that it was a substandard concrete job. I had a concrete testing company look at my driveway and they claimed that the contractor added water or overworked the concrete mix. Ozinga, the cement company, claimed that there was no problem with the mix that was delivered to my home. The crew sent to my home trashed my landscaping. I tried to work with J&P about getting my driveway replaced and sharing in the cost to no avail.

I researched them online as well and found nothing but rave reviews. It was clear I hired the right company after my first conversation with Jim. His passion for doing quality work really stands out. He doesn't cut corners and uses the most durable materials. On to the work... I was not disappointed one bit. They were incredibly thorough. Teran even pointed out several simple solutions for issues we've had since we moved here back in '09 and just kinda "forgot" about. These simple little changes made all the difference in the world. Everything looks amazing. Even months after the job was finished, I have complete strangers stop in front of my house and compliment on how beautiful everything looks. His crew arrived on the scheduled date, and scheduled time. The project went ahead as scheduled, but, I was a little disappointed that his crew had no respect for the plantings on the side of my driveway, and completely destroyed one entire side of plantings. Come January, we noticed that two sections of the driveway had cracks in them, and yes, I know that concrete cracks. However, I had a clause inserted into our contract to repair certain defects. Dave responded to my initial email stating that he would address this issue in April. Come April, emails weren't addressed, and total radio silence. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and amazingly, Dave emailed the next day stating that he would be out to repair the driveway. Hoping that his "repairs", which took maybe 15 minutes will address the issue. Long story, short...there are issues with Dave communicating with clients post job status.
