Attended this venue for a charity event and it seems like it was a successful night for them. The…read moreoutdoor setting is beautiful and really the highlight. In the future, I would definitely stick to outdoor events here. Inside, the space is quite small, so the sound mix was very loud and actually easier to enjoy from outside. The music carried better outdoors, which ended up being a plus. Drinks were around $15 and the server was quick - we couldnt stay inside for the show and because there was smoking on the patio, we moved out to the nearby field and watched the kids play football, which worked out fine. One small heads-up for visitors: avoid sitting on the railroad tie near the seating area that is covered in oil. It will ruin your pants. The other ties are weathered and fine. Also noticed chewing tobacco left on one of the rocking chairs, which reflects more on patrons than the venue itself. The line for the food was long, we actually wanted a burger but had to leave because we stink of oil ... but we wouldn't have waited in line ... so come a little bit fed. Overall, a fun spot with a great outdoor vibe. I would return, especially for outdoor shows.

This is a review for the disc golf park. I totally understand it's the day after Thanksgiving, but…read moreyour website should reflect that hours change AFTER a major holiday. Me and a few buddies drove a couple hours to get to the disc golf park and my one buddy showed up early (10:15a ish). He met a gentleman at the gate who said the park isn't open until maybe later in the afternoon. (Website says 8a-sunset) The guy said he was the only one there and he couldn't be bothered to sit outside while we played disc golf. Ummmm what? We don't need you to sit outside or babysit us? What is it that you think we're going to do that you need to watch us play disc golf? I will NEVER go there again. Mind you, I did call and was told it would be open. Then I called a couple days before and of course, no answer. Highly do NOT recommend traveling a good distance to go there. Also, if they're going to hire some one who can't be "bothered" to help, maybe they hired the wrong person. PSA: don't work in the SERVICE industry if customer SERVICE annoys you

We stopped in on a Friday afternoon and had pints of the Special Kind of Evil, a hoppy IPA style pour and the All Hallows Ale, a riff on a porter. Porters aren't my thing but this was really good with all sorts of spice - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc. The IPA was a nice balance between a regular one on the hoppy side and a more Imperial style - ABV landed between 6 and 7%. The atmosphere here is just something special - it reminds me more of an English pub, where friends hang out together every day to catch up and fraternize with their neighbors. And the service is both knowledgeable and generally friendly, emphasis on genuine. Oh and their merch! Not your normal merch! A lot of it is handcrafted - really nicely done leather items, hand crafted. I really wish I could pick this place up and take it home with me to Ohio! Very unique and look forward to a return visit on our next trip to Tennessee. As the sign says: "Brewed Free of the Tyranny of Stylistic Oppression" Live on Calfkiller! This place will surprise you with the interior space (beautifully decorated) plus the outside seating which is also pet friendly. I went upstairs and sat at the bar where I met Kate...she is a non-stop dynamo behind the bar with a fun personality. The two dishes I enjoyed were specials for the evening and may not be available when you visit. My appetizer...black mussels in an elegant cream sauce...this dish blew me away. Make sure you dip the bread in the sauce, it was so good I was tempted to order another helping. For dinner the fried Grouper over a bed of gnocchi and a drizzle of aioli was incredible. The breading was light, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the combination of flavors was very well done. While I am not a fan of the texture of gnocchi...this was really good with the cream sauce. What sets this place apart...the people! Yes...the food is great! But when you spend four hours enjoying a great meal, intriguing conversation, and a smattering of food theory you know you've found a bit of paradise. Thanks to Kate, the owner Jason, Chef Armen and his wife Ericka...it was a pleasure to meet and spend time with all of you.

My drink was excellent and the cheese curds were delicious. For my entree, I had the bacon brie chicken sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor with the brie and raspberry jam. The chorizo brussel sprouts made a great side, packed with flavor. My wife also let me try her chicken piccata with seasonal vegetables, which were both amazing. All of the staff was welcoming and our server was knowledgeable of the menu and made good recommendations. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music upstairs, which was a great surprise. The band was very talented. If you haven't been yet, you need to check this place out, and if you went before, you should give it another chance. We will definitely be back!
