The only thing I would change would be 2 things: I would plant some bug repellent plants out by the waterfall and I would cut down the trees by the pews instead of building around them...made it a little hard to see the bride and groom but not impossible. I would give this place 2 thumbs up and highly recommend using this venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous spot to tie the knot! The venue is absolutely beautiful and they have 3 different locations on the property to have the wedding and another for the reception. We picked out the location where my daughter had her heart set on and as the day approached, the weather was not looking good at all. The day of the wedding, it showed strong thunderstorms to begin about the time guests were set to arrive, so they had set everything up for the back up rain plan, which was still beautiful. About an hour before guests were to arrive, the radar was showing the rain would move just around where we were for the time of the ceremony. Knowing how much my daughter loved the original space, the owners Shelley and Shawn, got straight to work and moved everything to the space she had her heart set on. They went above and beyond throughout the entire process to help in any possible way you could imagine. Everyone had a wonderful time and couldn't stop gushing about how beautiful everything was! The venue is amazing and working with Shelley and Shawn made it that much more amazing! I can't say enough great things about the venue or Shelley and Shawn and will never be able to convey my appreciation for everything they did for us! Riverbend Ranch & Retreat was truly the most beautiful place we could have chosen for our wedding…read more We were lucky enough to have the property for the entire wedding weekend, which meant around 60 of our closest friends and family were able to stay on-site with us. That made the entire experience so much more special. It wasn't just one wedding day -- we got an entire weekend together making memories, floating and fishing in the river, fishing at the pond, sitting around the bonfire, and simply enjoying this beautiful place with the people we love most. The cabins were wonderful! Our friends and family had plenty of room, everything was well kept, and the layout made it so easy to get around the property. The bridal suite and groom's cabin were perfect for getting ready while still feeling like we were all part of the same weekend together. The bonfire area down by the river was one of our favorite places to gather, and there is just something so peaceful and beautiful about being down there together. Darren was incredible to work with from beginning to end. He was easygoing, accommodating, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our wedding everything we wanted it to be. He and his wife were both so lovely to talk with and made us feel completely welcome. Cassidy, our day-of coordinator, was an absolute sweetheart and such a huge help throughout the day. One of the things that impressed us most was how beautifully they handled an unexpected change. We had to move our ceremony from the location we originally planned to use, and somehow the new location and setup ended up being more beautiful than anything we could have imagined. When we saw it, we were completely blown away. It honestly felt like it was exactly where we were supposed to get married all along. And we HAVE to mention the fireworks! Darren made sure our wedding fireworks show was absolutely perfect. Seeing the fireworks going off over this beautiful property while celebrating our marriage with everyone we love was one of those moments we will never forget. It was such an incredible way to make an already amazing night feel even more magical, and we are so thankful for the effort he put into making sure it was everything we hoped it would be. What made Riverbend so special wasn't just how stunning the venue was -- it was the experience it gave us. We didn't have to rush through one wedding day and say goodbye. We got an entire weekend surrounded by our people. We got to watch our families and friends relax, laugh, fish, float the river, sit around the fire, celebrate with us, and make their own memories there too. When we look back on our wedding, we won't just remember the ceremony or reception. We'll remember the entire weekend and how special it felt to have everyone we love together in one beautiful place. We ordered chicken as one of the options. However, no chicken was served at the wedding and we verified with at least 15 people that no one got chicken. When we approached Lexi about it, she insisted multiple times that chicken was provided. This is False. We are also told that we could change the total number of people prior to the wedding and receive an updated price with the new number of people, even if it was less. We let her know Weeks out that less people would be coming and she still did not honor her word. On top of this, the food was served cold at our wedding.
