    Another small falls

THE BEST couples get away. We needed a BREAK and this was the perfect spot. 1. Away. There is wifi, so don't panic and the service was good. BUT. You feel very disconnected. Staff is exceptional and we spent most of the time totally alone. We went to breakfast and by the time we got back, the room was serviced. 2. Food. I mean. Food. Everyone said it was good, but I didn't expect what we got. I'm blown away. Varied every meal; we never had the same thing twice. Breakfast is just delicious - make sure to have bacon. It absolutely melts in your mouth. Coffee, delish. Lunch is a HUGE sack lunch deal with all kinds of stuff in the bag. And dinner? I mean at dinner they are just showing off. 5 amazing courses, one better than the other until dessert hits and you are just gobsmacked that you just had this food in the middle of the woods in adult overnight camp. 3. Walk, or don't. The Creekside rooms have a great view of a running creek. We DID make it to the overlook, but it's a "hike" for sure. And they tell you that! If you are movement averse, Look at the photos. There are stairs everywhere. It's on a hill... you're gonna have stairs. The overlook hike had a few places that really took guts and being surefooted, but I was really glad we tried it. Worst case, you go back the way you came. Best case, you enjoy a few hours splashing in a creek and trying to climb. After the overlook loop, we did not try the southern loop to the base of the waterfall - I'm sure it's gorgeous and I want to go back in not-August to try that too, but it was just too humid and hot for us to be comfortable trying that loop. So we didn't. Choose your own adventure and don't let the hike scare you... they don't make you go. You can sit right on the porch all day if you want. No judgement here. 4. Creekside rooms. Love the view. King bed was so comfy and the bedding was so soft. Comfy chairs and a coffee bar and small fridge for waters or whatever you bring. Bathroom was clean and simple. We were in Webb 3 and it was at the very end away from the main house, but there is a nice walkway and the stairs are spread out enough that it was a simple walk, but it is a walk. Pack light. You don't need a lot here and you won't want to lug a bunch of junk in and out of these cabins. When we return I'll take half the clothes I took, more waters, and a small fan. I love a ceiling fan and our room was vaulted with no fan. The AC was powerful and plenty to keep it cool, but if you like the noise of fan, bring a small one. I wouldn't change anything else about these rooms. Clean, comfy, and perfect for a few nights out in the wild. 5. The ease. It's all included, but you will want to tip these folks when you leave. They deserve it. And we loved NOT having to make 100 decisions a day. Not the epic discussion of where to have dinner... what's for breakfast. Breakfast is a buffet. Lunch, they give you 4 choices and pack it in a little bag for you to pick up at lunchtime. Dinner, you pick the protein and the rest comes out. Boom. I have an onion allergy and they were AWESOME about making sure I wasn't served any. Epically relaxing, I'm every way. Evins Mill, you're a gem. Thanks for the wonderful memories, the fabulous service, and the break from reality. We shall return!

Our 2nd time here. This time we stayed at the creek side cabins, Great venue for weddings and small company retreats, we used this place as a weekend getaway before school starts up in a couple weeks, The food is incredible, The kitchen staff was very accommodating to our gluten-free diets. We hiked down to Carmac Falls before breakfast and they prepared a sack lunch before we left the property to hike more trails finding waterfalls. Very relaxed atmosphere and good wi-fi access.

My best friend got married here this past November, and it was like something out of a Hallmark movie! Everything about this place is quaint and so fun! They were so helpful during the wedding planning process and on the day of the wedding everything went so smoothly. This place has so many fun places for pictures and feels like a mini vacation away from Nashville. The food was amazing, and we all stayed the night on property and woke up and had a big breakfast. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a smaller woodsy wedding venue near nashville.

Beautiful setting. Mattresses need to be replaced in Solstice. They have added memory foam toppers but mattress underneath is very worn and saggy. You get that roll to center feeling when trying to sleep. Food is good and plentiful but not 5 stars, more like 4. Breakfast is better than dinner but it's late served 9 am until 10am. Dinner is served at 7 pm Picnic lunches they pack for you have are ok with sandwiches or wraps , fruit and cookies with water bottle. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired. We found a dental floss pick behind a bedside table when we arrived. While my husband was sitting in one of the chairs on the room, he found a push pin in the carpet. I wore slippers the rest of the trip. The fall leaves are beautiful here. Views from decks are lovely. Trails are very rough and steep so hiking on site is very difficult. There are a number of state parks within 30 minutes drive from Evins Mill with some excellent trails though. But hiking on this property is not good. The entire property is built on a steep slope.

I concur with the other Yelp reviewer who said that Evins Mill resort is right out of a hallmark movie! I can't say it any better than that! The location is private, quaint, full of southern charm and enchanting views! This picturesque setting is as loving in real life as the website photos! And did I mention the gourmet meals and hospitality? Worth every penny- if you are looking for a place to unwind, relax, and enjoy tranquility with that someone special!!! We've been here twice in the past two years, and we will certainly return.

When it comes wooded retreats, Evins Mill is at the top of my list! The guest accommodations and amenities will leave you wanting to extend your stay!! - the rooms have new therapeutic mattresses and comfy pillows (for even the pickiest of pillow people); the bathrooms are remodeled with exceptional tile and glass work. The furniture and bedding are basic. - there is a gaming guest house with pool, table tennis / ping-pong, darts, corn-hole, foozball, and piano... And for those that would rather be a spectator...great leather sofa and chairs you can just sink into and lounge for hours - private outdoor sitting areas with comfy chairs and cushions, swings, hammocks - amazing hiking trails that will lead to incredible waterfalls that will leave you in complete awe Then you have the food... OMG! I mean seriously, the food is beyond anything you can anticipate! Farm-to-table creations prepared by a trained chef that will leave you dreaming of the delicate flavors and textures! On top of all of this, there is the staff. Never far, but never underfoot. Honestly, you will feel as this is your private oasis (with a bartender that will whip you up any drink you can imagine!) Couples, Weddings, Personal Retreats... This is the place!

Evin's Mill was the most beautiful venue that my dear friend could have chosen for her wedding. It was approximately 1 hour outside of Nashville. The property offers several different areas in which you Event can take place. They offer at least 3 different styles of guest accommodations. Full service packages available.

We did a day trip in November. The hike to the falls was no very long but a little difficult to go down. The waterfall was beautiful but the smell of dying leaves was really bad that we couldn't enjoy the view for a longer time. The place was really empty I think we were the only ones in the entire property. Our lunch was very complete water, tangerine, pasta, sandwich, popcorn and cookies. Tuna sandwich was really good. The arcade room could use some updates.

The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

Vendors- we used preferred vendors & all were professional, easy to deal with, & provided a great service for a fair price. No complaints. Leeric Staff-Dealing w/the owner & wedding coordinator before/after the event was a horrible experience & stressful. We chose the "Stress Free/Weekender" package as we live 10 hours from the lodge. The owner was not transparent & didn't properly describe what was included. Ex. the package stated "heavy weighted dinnerware" but what we got was gold colored plastic utensils & plastic plates. I'd expect metal utensils & porcelain plates in the highest tier package. The plastic knives made it hard to cut steaks. If I wanted different dinnerware I could request it from the caterer for an cost extra. After the contract was signed and five months prior to the wedding the coordinator said there's an $80+ charge/night/person staying in the lodge. Then 3 days before the wedding the coordinator stated the wedding party only stays in the lodge Friday night & only the bride/groom stay @ the lodge Saturday night. The wedding party would need to book hotel rooms last minute. This wasn't what was discussed or stated in our package. Our documentation confirmed what we thought. We paid extra for the DJ to play the ceremony music & cocktail hour. The venue staff was supplied w/ a list of ceremony music details. There was miscommunication btw the venue staff & DJ as the DJ played THE WRONG SONG for the walk down the aisle. My daughter had no clue what song was playing or when to start walking. She was embarrassed when the music stopped 1/2 way down the aisle & finished her walk in silence. That's a big mistake! The day of coordinator showed up 90 minutes late on the day of the wedding. After we finished the rehearsal the coordinator told the wedding party she'd be there @ 11:30am the next day. Multiple people we were looking for her @ 11:30. The father of the bride & father of the groom were waiting for her since they had to decorate the arch & the coordinator had the arch drapery. She showed up at 1:00 & the father daughter first look was at 2:00. So he had to rush to complete the arch, get a shower, & get dressed Since they don't provide a cake knife for the couple to cut the cake (although the package included a cake) we provided our own silver cake knife. After the wedding we noticed we didn't get the knife back. We reached out to the owner& she stated they didn't have it. She blamed the caterer but the caterer didn't even use it. 5 weeks after the wedding they let us know that they found it @ the venue. To return it we could pay $75 for them to mail it to us or we could buy a box & mail it to the Leeric w/a prepaid shipping label & they'd mail it back. They said it was our responsibility to take the knife home w/ us. But if it took them 5 weeks to find it @ their own venue how could we have seen it @ the end of the night? The knife was clearly misplaced by the venue staff & the right thing would have been to mail it back to us. They showed their lack of customer service again by sticking to the 2 return options. Luckily the caterer picked it up & mail it to me @ no cost. Now that's customer service! Payment- would be nice if payment could be done via check to avoid the 6% credit card fee (12% fee for security deposit). I understand the st payment being done via credit card to secure the date but after that sending a check prior to the due date should be an option. We paid over $1600 in credit card fees. Contract- the contract should be package specific as it included things that weren't applicable to our package-causing confusion. I suggest: -review contract line by line what is/isn't included & ask a lot of questions -hand tip envelopes to vendors directly -have someone in your wedding party confirm w/the DJ the ceremony songs(hear what they will play) -Record GoogleMeet calls & keep all emails

Rock…read moreHaven Lodge was the first stop on our 10-week, 10,000-mile road trip adventure to the Pacific Northwest to visit nudist resorts and attend Karins high school reunion in Idaho. It is a nudist resort, not clothing-optional. We loved the way they made posting the rules sort of fun through clever & funny signs everywhere. Everyone seemed to respect the rules. We noticed immediately how clean, quaint, and well-kept the resort was! It's obvious the residents/members there take great pride in decorating and maintaining their lots. There were "yard of the year" award plaques at many of them. One deck was shaped & decorated like an old wooden ship; others had themed frog or fairy gardens. Lots of them had decorative lights. We enjoyed nightly walks there. The owner (Suzie) was super helpful and welcoming. Everyone we met was too. That's what we love the most and have come to always appreciate about the nudist community! After arriving close to dusk and setting up our campsite, a gathering of campers nearby invited us over for steak & potatoes left over from their pitch-in. We were tired from 10 hours on the road, so we thankfully enjoyed the meal while getting to hear the fun adventures they were all on. The common areas were large & open. There were two large covered pavilions for gatherings - one had a kitchen/grill at the end that sells food on the weekends. The other doubles as a remote control car racetrack (very unique) and a dance area. Then there is a separate indoor rec hall with a big rock fireplace, a small gym, a bathhouse, and a little "country store" where you can buy ice cream, snacks, and basic toiletries. Throughout the common ground areas, a kid-sized train track winds through, probably delighting kids and adults alike when running (which it wasn't while we were there). This is a great place during the week for those who like a quieter resort visit, but we heard it gets busier on the weekends. There were lists of regular & special activities posted so you could be as social as you want to be, or not. We enjoyed the great sand volleyball courts, which included a covered area with fans, chairs, tables & a water fountain! There were pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, and a small playground. The pool & hot tub were small but clean. The pool isn't heated but refreshing when it gets really hot. The campground where we stayed had picnic tables and electricity convenient at most sites. We tested out our new SUV tent, and it worked well. The tent attaches to the open back hatch so we sleep in the back of the SUV on a special mattress made to fit around the wheel wells. Packing for 10 weeks was quite a task, but we got it all figured out. We took a trip to the local downtown of Murfreesboro for dinner and enjoyed seeing a small town. We ate at a great local restaurant called The Alley. We are so glad we stopped here first on our trip as it was a lovely relaxing start to our summer journey.
