Not going to pretend it's inexpensive, but Burgess makes some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon I've ever had. Every pour was outstanding, and the quality absolutely showed in the glass. Tried all different library vintages of red wine and beautiful Sauvignon Blanc wine. The Estate Director Garret was wonderful, knowledgeable, and super attentive to his guests. Reservations only and high recommended if you are familiar with the iconic Heitz Cellars and Chateau Lascombe Bordeaux, France, this is the same family. We got to meet the interim CEO, their new winemaker, and got to hear them talk about the style of winemaking moving forward. Sustainable, minimalist winemaking to the soil, and the wine. If you care as much as what you put in your body, food, or wine, you will appreciate this kind of winery, priceless! We had an amazing time here. Easiest five stars I've given in Napa. All credit goes to Enoch, who gave me a guided tour and absolutely memorable Garden Tasting at 10am. Literally no faults anywhere. Loved how personable, humorous, and articulate he was. His love of wine comes clear, from the wine itself, the regenerative farming done here, the winemaking process, and everything else. Even though my palate leans old world (Burgundy, Rhone, and Champagne), I was extremely impressed by my tasting here. You won't get Robert Parker fruit bombs with heavy oak. Instead, you'll get extremely well made, graceful, terroir driven, and classically made wine. Burgess is special, and now that Meghan Zobeck is the winemaker, I'm absolutely confident that the best days are ahead of them. If Napa had more guys like Enoch, it'd be a far better place. Following my tasting, I signed up for the membership. Looking forward to seeing Enoch and Meghan again! read more

First time here to Napa and did not notice that every winery requires a reservation prior to arrival. Fortunately when I made my husband call, they accommodated us and got a table out ready for us. When we got to the entrance, there was a kind gentleman already waiting outside with two empty glasses for us. He introduced himself and poured our first tasting, a crisp Chardonnay. We had a quick chat and we started walking into the fermentation room. It's spacious with ginormous barrels of wine. Lots of fun facts to learn. He walked us back outside and to our seats. We got to face the empty lot where they're prepping for new vines to grow. He had mentioned that they had to relocate their vineyard due to a fire in 2020 at the old location. The 2015 Durif and 2015 Sorenson were our favourites from the tasting menu and so we bought a few of those bottles. My husband loves older wines and the gentleman brought out a 2009 bottle for us try and we were in loved. The flavour was explosive and we had to buy more bottles. If you love wine as much as we do, Burgess produce phenomenal red wines. Yes, some of their wines taste like any other but the older wines are truly amazing. read more

What a gem of a winery in St. Helena!! The views and experience were top notch and the wines were fabulous!! The winery is small and still family run and definitely "boutique-y". Our Mountainside tasting was very intimate with just us and another couple. Our host was very knowledgeable and even let us try a couple extra wines not featured. Wine is super subjective, but we loved everything they poured (mostly cabs) and left with a couple bottles. The views were the cherry on top of a wonderful afternoon! read more

Burgess Cellars is a great visit and offers a large variety of wines, many of which are our favorites! Their tasting experience is a wonderful opportunity to mix in great vistas, beautiful wines, comfortable, unpretentious surrounds, and in Larry Bombach a super team member to guide you! It is one of our favorite wineries to visit and recommend to friends! On our visit we had just come from Burgess' neighbor, Viader and it was fun to see the different philosophies in planting, blending, etc. between the two. We also loved the rustic atmosphere of their entry point amidst their barrels and history of the land and winery. One of the most important memories from this visit, which stayed with us in our memory, was how closely Larry listened to what our tastes in wines is and then how he tailored our tasting. It made a lasting impression and made us immediate fans of Burgess. We came home with bottles of their Petit Verdot, Syrah, Topography red blend, as well as their signature Mountaineer red blend. We enjoyed many others of their wines, but for our taste these were our favorites. We liked their wines so much we joined their wine club! We also like their price points a lot! read more

I've always loved Howell Mountain wines and wanted to visit a winery on Howell Mountain during a visit to Napa Valley. Burgess seemed the most accessible and we decided on the Mountainside Tasting. The first thing you notice about Burgess is the amazing views. The view from the deck is not to be missed. The room that the Mountainside tasting is done in has two windows that look out to this view. Cindy was our host and we sampled seven different wines as well as a dessert wine. I was so excited to come here that I was a bit disappointed that I didn't love all of the wines. We did buy some of the rose, Chardonnay, red blend mountaineer and 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. Don't let my opinion deter you from visiting though. Palates are different and tasting is so subjective. read more

My wife and I visited this vineyard after getting the recommendation while visiting the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in Napa. We didn't visit too long (we didn't have an appointment), but they were happy to spend time with us and discuss their winery. We sampled a few of their wines and were very impressed. In particular, we loved their 2014 cabernet. We love this place! It's a family run, and very hands-on operation. We didn't want to visit a huge corporate winery, but see a real family operated vineyard. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff and the delicious wines they produce. I met the son, who now runs the business and we briefly spoke. He thanked me for purchasing his wine and we chatted for a few minutes. My wife and I will be back for another visit when we return! read more

Called Burgess "Cellars" but yet the Haymaker Vineyard sits atop 1,200 ft. elevation (Butte Stoney Loam soil) facing east & developed in 1988 & Winery Ranch vineyard sits on a 1,000 ft.(Konocti Stoney Clay Loam soil) elevation facing west & developed in 1972. The root stock and vines absolutely love this location & the current winemaker since 2013, Kelly Woods, recently moved forward with the over 45 year history with a new approach. Kelly took a bold move by crafting some reds exclusively from Haymaker side of Howell Mt., and then did the same for Winery Ranch side. Previously these were blends from both sides but now Kelly chose to do estate style for each. It has paid off, from many perspectives. Check out You Tube with Kelly & Winery Ranch vs. Haymaker comparison, & you will get a great perspective on her thinking. As James Burgess said in 2017 at the 45 year tasting of Burgess Vintages honoring the legacy of his father Tom, as guests departed from that special evening, James Burgess turned his attention to the next 45 years as has his brother Steve. "The future is going to be even better & better" said James & I could not agree more. Can you imagine in 1972 when Tom Burgess looked at the elevation and location where Burgess now sits, and did what "experts" said was not feasible... location and elevation were not suited for grape root stocks to be planted. So much for the experts & what true visionaries see and the "follow the pack" mentality who does not see the same thing. Burgess Cellars did not have many "neighbors" up in Howell mountain back in 1972, but as Mr. Roger's said "welcome to the neighborhood". And the "Hood" has changed significantly since then. I am so glad to read about the team who is now in charge at Burgess Cellars & who are creating a transparent practice & aligning to even more amazing releases in the next 45 years. Today, Winery Ranch Vineyard is the first view of a visit to Burgess Cellars, and this circa 1870s vineyard was part of the original purchase by Tom Burgess in 1972 that founded Burgess Cellars.  Too few people know that Julia Childs, the French food persona, chose Burgess to be paired with her dishes back in the early 1990's. That says something. Can you only imagine what Julia Childs must have experienced when tasting & deciphering the complexities that Burgess Cellars offers & chose what Tom Burgess crafted for about 20 years at that time with her food pairings. A stake was placed firmly into the ground. Today Kelly Woods appears to be focused on the various blocks on the sites, segmenting the two sides of Howell Mt., detailing fermentation and aging strategies, & strategizing on barrel trials due to what the mountain fruit is offering. So watch how this 2nd generation team evolves & stop here several times over the next several years to dissect the experiences you capture. I will only focus on one offering of many I had at the tasting recently. Cindy, the terrific representative on site at Burgess, teased me with so many sensory explosions during my 1.5 hour visit. But I did something I have never done before during my 153 winery visits in NSV over the years. One of winemaker Kelly's first offerings in 2013 was the Mountaineer red blend. I purchased a bottle and that night opened it and started to tear apart all that this wine could offer. The next morning while doing other visits in NSV, all I could think about was that particular vintage..the bad boy 2013 Mountaineer red. It had become akin to a religious experience for me. As if by spiritual willpower, the car turned up Howell Mountain off Silverado trail, & pulled into Burgess Cellars at 4:15 PM & a "closed" sign was lit. Not deterred by a sign, I walked up to the door and it OPENED! NIRVANNA TIME, yes it was time to stop the cycle of reincarnation & be blown out, or should I say be blown away. Cindy had not left. I scored on a second bottle of 2013 Mountaineer red, so darn you Kelly, & Marne Burgess strolled up from her house & said hello as well. The circle was now complete. But that temptress, Cindy, prior to leaving, poured the 2016 chardonnay, their only white varietal. Yes, I purchased a bottle of that but I fear I will be driving back up Deer Park Rd. prior to leaving Napa, & arriving after 4PM praying BC has not closed & Cindy has been detained & is still there. I am so upset with you Cindy & how you continually expose your visitors to the 2014 cab, then the 2016 chard, then the 2013 syrah, petit verdot, malbec, grenache & on & on. But thank you. I spent over $1,000 on wine there, was a club member and they don't respond to emails or voicemails for weeks at a time. This was before the wild fires, during the change of ownership. Past owners were wonderful and communication was great. New ownership doesn't seem to care at all. They could have handled so much better and retained a new club member. I have one word for this place: wow! We were the first from our tasting group to arrive and "rang the bell" for wine as the sign instructs (how clever & fun!) and JacqueLynn came right out to greet us. We tasted 5-6 wines with a small group (8 of us total, I believe, which made the experience super personal). We had our tasting fee ($10 per person) waived when we decided to buy a (delicious) bottle. Quite an incentive to take a bottle home :) We had a fantastic tasting experience with JacqueLynn and did not taste a single wine we didn't enjoy. I savored every single one - but the Library Reserve 1998 Cab is my absolutely favorite. The location is up high on Deer Park Road, making the view over the vineyards and the Bell Canyon Reservoir absolutely stunning! Found this hidden gem on the list of wineries participating in the Cellarpass Napa Passport and I am so glad that I visited there! They are reservation only due to the limited space at the winery. I really enjoyed the intimate setting and the view there overlooks the vineyards. It's right up near Howell Mountain so the scenery is gorgeous. Their wines were delicious and I ended up taking home a bottle of their petite Syrah. You taste inside of their barrel room with a private pourer that is quite knowledgeable about their wine. The wine is decently priced and the experience is wonderful. The host really took care of us and we appreciated that. It has that small and family owned feel. It definitely is not corporate and it really shows with the personal nature of the experience. We visited Burgess Cellars fairly early on a Friday, and had a lengthy wine-tasting session with Francesca. This was a special experience. The scenery on top of the hill is beautiful, and Francesca took a lot of time to sit with us and give us a thorough history of the place, some tips for how to develop your palate when it comes to tasting wine, etc. The selections were delicious, and we left with two bottles. We told Francesca that we had to cancel a trip to Italy, and she played some Italian music in the background to give us at least a little of that trip. Finally made it out to the winery today. There is a sign which clearly states "Tours and Tasting by Appointment Only", but I visited anyway figuring that in the very least I'd get an answer as to where in San Francisco I can buy Burgess wines since I was so impressed by the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain that I had recently discovered at Perry's Embarcadero. I was very much impressed with that wine and thought it was quite a find. I vowed at that very instant that I would be visiting the winery in the very near future. As luck would have it, not only did we get to do some complimentary tastings, but we were served by none other than Steve Burgess himself! Steve was a great guy and we had a most memorable visit talking about wine, the economy, and everything else in general. Was very much impressed with him and Burgess wines. Burgess is a fantastic local independent winery that puts out some amazing wines without the backing of the majors that most of the more well-known wineries in the area have. Their wines are definitely worth seeking out and asking for. I'm sure you will be most pleasantly surprised...I know I was. Lastly, I wanted to add that (although no fault of the winery) those of you driving should be extra careful on Sanitarium Road (yup, Sanitarium as in crazy) as there is a CHP bike cop hiding in a little nook on the middle of the hill. I saw him on the way up and he scared the heck out of me. Speed limit there is 35MPH which is easily exceeded when going downhill if you're not heavy on the brakes, never mind the gas. There's a college or school up the hill from the winery so apparently, he's there quite often. Fantastic wines though, especially for the price...ended up picking up a bottle of Syrah before I left. If you love Red wine then this is the place. I'm not a Red wine drinker, because I always get a bad headache every time I drink red wine. But when i tasted the Burgess Merlot wine in one of the restaurant in San Francisco. That's when I feel in love with their wine. Plus I was even surprise I didn't get a headache and I keep craving for it. I went to Costco and Bev Mo to look for Burgess wine, but i couldn't find it. So I went on-line to look for the Burgess Winery and I was so happy to find out the winery is not that far from where I live. I ask my husband to drive me there because i been craving for their wine. I called in to make sure the place is open. When we got there I couldn't wait to taste their wines. I tasted most of their wines and I feel in love even more. I love it so much i signed up for club wine. I can't wait to go back and pick up my wines. The people there are so friendly and helpful. That's more plus for me. :-) read more

My wife and I visited Burgess. We called ahead the day we wanted to visit. They could totally accommodate us. We had a nice time with a simple and classic tasting room experience. The wines were killer. The staff was friendly. All you have to do is call ahead. They probably aren't ready for surprise visitors. FYI....do not believe Jason Z.'s reviews. I have read most of them now and they are totally garbage. Anyone who has to state that they "have been to over 200 wineries" in every winery review they write, is obviously full of themselves. Burgess is awesome and totally worth the visit. Reasonably priced wines also. read more

I have worked in the wine industry for well over 10 years and coming to Burgess was a treat as Francesca our server was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and fun. We had a first AM reservation at 10, and the drive up was beautiful, almost as much as the view from the deck was. The wines are lovely, I bought petite verdot and a grenache. I will be back for more tastings and stocking up on new vintages. This winery deserves to have its wine laid in in layers to enjoy flights, and the visits to get a good stock in your cellar will be worth the repeat visits. read more

This review is for the Mountainside tasting. It should really be 3.5 stars. 3 feels a little harsh, 4 is frankly too generous. We came away with mixed feelings from Burgess. It certainly wasn't a bad experience and the views are undeniably beautiful, but of all the places we visited on a whole weekend trip around Napa and St Helena, this one left us feeling underwhelmed. Let me start with the good. The Chardonnay was one of the best of the weekend and for my money, without doubt the best wine we had at Burgess. They did a decent job talking about the history of the place, the volcanic soil, the winemaker and giving you a sense of place. They were very welcoming and it's always lovely to have a private tasting tasting experience with great views. OK, so what weren't we so impressed by? We paid $60pp for the mountainside tasting which says, "library wines (plural) and the best seat in the house...". Sure we got the best seat in the house, but as for library wines we got a 2009 cab and all the rest were relatively young. It's made all the more poignant because Burgess has an incredible back catalog of library wines going back to 1980. Was I expecting them to crack open some precious 20 year old bottle for my $60 - of course not - but could they have done a better job at presenting something with more age in their "library" tasting? Definitely, particularly given the description. Most wineries will throw something in that's 10 years old and not describe it as something special. As it was, the 2009 cab was mouth puckeringly tannic and probably our least favorite of what was poured. Given that this was our first tasting of the day, I trusted my palate. It doesn't surprise me that Burgess sells most of what they make into restaurants because I think all of the wines we tasted would have gone better with food. They have good structure and are clearly made to age, but we both felt underwhelmed by the reds at the price point. As a contrast we went to Keenan on Spring Mountain next and to our tastes it was like night and day. As I mentioned, the Chardonnay was the exception. Finally, our server - I think his name was Marvin - was a really sweet older guy who clearly knows his stuff and gave us good information. It did feel however like he felt contractually obligated to keep talking throughout the experience. We could have done with 5 minutes to ourselves to talk about the wine or the day we had planned. The mountainside tasting might sustain 90 minutes if you were sat down with someone who was really involved in the winemaking process and was really engaging (see Tulocay) but we ended up cutting it short as their was neither enough different wines or enough conversation to justify that length of time. In summary, taste is subjective and I'm sure some people rave about Burgess wine. I feel like the experience was oversold and I think you can do much better on a Napa visit than this. read more

Burgess recently became one of my favorite wines after discovering them earlier this year. So when my wife and I decided to visit Napa Valley recently we had to make an appointment to visit. Our visit was on Friday June 14, 2013. We were greatly surprised that the two of us were joined only by one other couple at the appointment time. We arrived about 15 minutes ahead of our appointment so we were treated to a uncrowded view of the vineyard overlooking Bell Reservoir and Howell Mountain. Absolutely spectacular. The tasting experience was right in the Burgess Barrel room. Jackie who was the representative from Burgess was very pleasant and informative. She really helped make this small and intimate experience wonderful. The tasting included 5 of the delightful Burgess wines, Grenache, Syrah, current release Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and a library Cabernet Sauvignon. My wife and I are novices, however Jackie walked us through each and pointed out the highlights and the comparisons. The Burgess wines are fantastic in their quality and price. We greatly enjoyed the library wine and purchased a bottle along with other items that are only available from the vineyard. Overall we loved the Burgess experience. We are looking forward to a return visit and an ability to share with some friends on our next visit to the Napa Valley. read more

Made a reservation but then cruised in half an hour late due to a long brunch... hey, I figured, no big deal! Wineries always have people coming in and out and they just want an idea of how many people are coming. OOPS. FAIL. Turns out they actually only have one small tasting counter in the barrel room, and our group of 6 was the crew that they had been expecting from 1-2pm!! I felt really bad that the guy had just been waiting for us - he even addressed me by name (from the reservation) when we arrived - and since we weren't finished by 2, another group was rolling in. So! Try to be on time. He was really nice about it, though. Anyway, to the actual tasting! FREE, which is a beautiful thing. I was told to mention "napavalley.com" for the free tasting, but I think it may have been free anyway... I can't recall how many wines we had, perhaps 5 or 6? I enjoyed them and particularly liked some kind of red from 1998. (I'm sorry, I really should have written all of this down...) He also had us taste a comparison from 2007ish and encouraged us to talk about which one we preferred, which was fun. (My group was split down the middle on this!) The rose and one of the reds were so-so to me, but in general I enjoyed the tasting. A few weeks ago my wife and I visited Burgess Cellars, located in the hills a few miles east of the Silverado Trail. We had just finished tasting at the excellent Bremer Family Winery, looked a map and noticed that Burgess Cellars was nearby. We called the phone number twice, but no one picked up. Still, since we were very close we drove to the winery and knocked at the door. A minute or two later someone answered, but immediately told us to wait; he took a phone call and, after hanging up, walked around the office. We got the impression that we weren't really wanted, but he came back and told us that he'd let us taste. The complementary tasting began with the three of us in the wine cellar, where a tried five new releases and a library 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon ($68), which had held up nicely and featured enjoyable wood and vibrant fruit flavors. The other wines- an 05 Rose ($10), 04 Syrah ($24), 04 Merlot ($24), 04 Cab ($50) and 01 Enveiere ($55- a Bordeaux blend)- were decent, but unmemorable. The highlight of the visit started soon after we began trying the wines; a convivial middle-aged British couple joined us and we joked about the American Revolution. It sure is nice how wine can bring former enemies together and help them laugh about the political problems of yore. read more

Burgess Cellars An unique humble little gem located up in Howell Mt. Wow, on March 1st, we had a company of 4 people who've decided to do a day of tasting celebrating a birthday for the birthday-girl. We wanted to visit Howell Mt, one of the very significant American Viticulture Area in Napa Valley. I am very pleased with our first stop at Burgess at 10:30 in the morning. While they only do reds, it was a great start for us since their wines are full of flavor but delightful on the palate, never too overwhelming: The 2009 Syrah, fruity like a Grenache with a hint of smoke, a fun wine with barely noticeable tannin. The 2009 Merlot, whether you are a Merlot-fan or not, is a beautifully crafted wine that has plenty of floral notes, berry aromas, and that delicate morning coffee character. The 2000 Cabernet sauvignon was my favorite, that aged bouquet of dried fruit and cigar box backed by that subtle earthiness was just the stuff that's so great about a nicely aged Cab. If you love unique, high quality red wines that are very reasonably priced, you will want to visit Burgess Cellars or track down some of their wines. We really liked their entire line up of wines and highly recommend them.. The Burgess 2008 Syrah has 12% Grenache added. It had a lovely aroma of plums with pleasantly brambly blackberry on the palate and good mouth feel plus a decent finish. It saw 40% French oak and 60% American oak.The Burgess 2008 Merlot is 100% Merlot and was exceptionally nice for the price. This is not one of those bland Merlots that give the varietal a bad name. No wonder it has received numerous awards. It has structure and character along with lovely Merlot black cherry fruit plus a good finish. This is a Merlot for those who like a fuller bodied and more interesting Merlot with supple tannins. The Burgess 2009 Grenache is also exceptionally good for the price. It benefits from the addition of some Syrah skins and had a very nice aroma of red fruit with some pepper. Although it is typically light bodied, it seemed to have more structure and body than most Grenaches; in other words, it was more complex and interesting. Those who like an easy drinking red will relish this Grenache, but those who like reds with a bit more character and substance should also like it. It is probably the most pleasant and interesting Napa Valley Grenaches I have encountered. The Burgess 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon (79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot and 4% Malbec) had a light nose with a full body of mostly red cherry with some spice, very well integrated tannins and a good finish. It sees French and American oak. Tannins are very well integrated. A very good Napa Cab for only $38. If you want to experience the difference between aroma and bouquet in a wine, you may do so in the Burgess 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon. Bouquet is what is acquired by a wine through aging or cellaring. This Cab has a remarkable bouquet that is very complex and interesting and could perhaps be described as earthy and smokey (forest floor and cigar box), although that does not do it justice. The French appreciate aged red Bordeauxs and, apparently, so does the Burgess family. BTW please don't stereotype Burgess Cellars simply because they are a mountain winery. As with most mountain wineries there is an emphasis on terroir or very interesting characteristics unique to the vineyard. But Burgess does not produce big, bold, tannic mountain wines but rather wines that are more French in style, somewhat lighter but nuanced and complex. Last of our tasting was a special offering of their Burgess 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a knockout wine that had wonderful fruit, great balance and a fuller body with very good substance and mouth feel. It was lush on the palate with dark cherry and some chocolate with a long finish. It is well worth the $80 and was a real standout. We purchase over a case of Burgess Cellar wines. Both of us thought they were exceptionally good and excellent buys. JacqueLynn was kind enough to allow me to purchase a bottle of their Burgess 2009 Petite Sirah ($28) when I told her how much I loved the varietal. It sells out quickly and is in very short supply. I was able to savor this later and really liked it. This was the first lighter styled Petite Sirah I have ever liked. Most PS are big and bold with plenty of tannin, spice and substance. I've found lighter ones to be unbalanced with too much sweetness or fruitiness at the expensive the varietal characteristics. This one was lighter for a PS but still a substantial wine with the spice and varietal characteristics all intact. When I was drinking it I thought that this was probably how the French would make a Petite Sirah if they grew the varietal. If you think of a big, tannic Napa Cab compared to a lighter styled red Bordeaux that reaches for more elegance than power, you will have some idea. It is still very much a Petite Sirah but not as intense or overbearing as some. I got some raspberry on the nose. Brighter and lighter than most PS but not at all thin or lacking in body or tannin. Some cherry and caramel with a good finish. Proof that a PS does not have to come charging out of the bottle like an enraged bull in order to remain true to the varietal characteristics. I highly recommend the Burgess Cellars Petite Sirah if you can find some. Lana was so inviting, friendly, delightful, outgoing and personable. The winery was beautiful and this had a less pretentious feel to it compared to the other places we went to. Reasonably priced for the amount of wine you get. Wine was exceptionally delicious. The setting is where they actually make the wine and not just a "dummy" set-up. Great experience! read more

We recently had a private cellar tasting with 5 couples for my husbands 40th. We were greeted outside by our host, with glasses of Rose while we learned about the vineyard and the lay of the land. Once inside we sampled several wines and were bought through the history of the winery. We ended up joining the wine club as we had an amazing time sampling fantastic wines! I am a fan! I'm definitely a red wine kinda gal and Burgess delivers on this front. Their specialty is cabs, but I really liked their merlot. This is a small, quiet little winery with a gorgeous water view. I definitely prefer this feel to the glitzy, large wineries where there's a crowd getting off the wine bus. Another plus is that there's no charge for tasting (side note: they may not be allowed depending on how their tasting room is categorized). I made fun of my husband when the rest of our group got carded but he didn't. Apparently there's been some ABC law crackdowns so they weren't taking any chances. Burgess is definitely worth a visit on your winery trek. read more

We reserved the tasting in the cellar and I can tell you this will not disappoint. We were lucky to have Marvin as our host and he was amazing. He told a very detailed background story of Burgess Cellars and answered all of our questions with such joy. You can really tell he loves what he does! Now, the wines did not disappoint. Their wines are grown in the volcanic soil and they taste amazing. I went to Napa and visited some winery's and could not find wines that taste like theirs! Their views are beautiful as well.
