We were looking for a quick option before an early concert in Downtown Asheville. BurgerWorx fit the bill. You order at the counter and you get a number. The ambiance is casual, come-as-you-are. I had the single turkey smashburger with bacon, bbq sauce, lettuce & tomato. I enjoyed it and loved the crust they got while smashing the meat. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. Burgerworx was an absolute find, especially for anyone who eats gluten-free. It's rare to come across a restaurant where nearly the entire menu is accessible, and they do it without sacrificing flavor. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich on gluten-free bread with ghost pepper cheese, and it was incredible. The chicken was perfectly cooked, unbelievably juicy, and packed with flavor. The ghost pepper cheese added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the sandwich. We also tried the fry bowl, which was a great value and more than enough to share. Most of us got the beef burger with ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, and fries. I got the veggie smash lettuce bowl. The employees were fast and kind, and my burger was delicious. We had a party of 8 for a late lunch - early dinner?- and the service was top notch and food was great. The crispy smashed patties were delicious and the cut fries were great, too! On Fridays they have a fried split cod fillet sandwich topped with worx sauce and homemade slaw. Got that on a GF bun with fries and a chocolate chip cookie. Very enjoyable. Hero of the dish was the sandwich. The fish was cooked beautifully and the bread was nicely warmed. The slaw and the sauce, I thought, worked even better than shredded lettuce, chow chow, and tartar sauce. Fries were also delicious, cooked through and nicely salted, but not exactly crispy. Yes, we may have ordered at different times. Creating a Burgerworx Charcuterie Board masterpiece took us a HOT minute. We are simply mere novices in the Charcuterie world. Yes, a tada picture would've been perfect. However, I'm rather fond of using one's own mind in some matters...so, as the Hoosier now home...imagine away ;) . This establishment has an outside sitting area with filled water bowls for pets. The decor, well, someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words. Zoom in & maybe you'll enjoy a giggle or two. Five of us met for lunch at Burgerworx. Their menu consisted mainly of burgers and hotdogs. My single smash burger was just average in taste.... nothing made it standout. My friends all tried their hot dogs with a large variety of toppings (chili, slaw, onions, pickles, cheese, etc) and said they were sloppy, but great. Fries were also tastier, and not over seasoned. Unfortunately it took over 30 minutes to receive our order. I'd suggest they change their name to Dogworx and get more help. read more

I don't think I've ever had a veggie smash burger before so it was truly a unique experience for me. I believe Burgerworx used to let you build your own burger, but that's not the case anymore. They do burger's one way (pick your cheese) with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and sauces. I also believe fries are the only side. This might not be ideal for everyone but I had absolutely no problem with it. The man who took our order and served us our food was very friendly, you would have never guessed they were about to close. The bowl of fries we were served was ginormous, and delicious, easily large enough for 3 people to share and have plenty of fries They seemed to be hand cut fries, and were crispy but still kind of floppy which is exactly how I like my fries.
