My hubby had slaw,corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken livers, and lima beans. I had the fried chicken mashed potatoes, corn, and lima beans. We both had the cornbread. Everything tasted like homemade. We opted for Two Icecream cones for dessert. It was a great value at just $44 including drinks. The service was great and there were friendly grandma vibes. Food: everything on the menu is just frozen food heated and cooked even burger patties. That's according to the waitress. I had a cheese burger,onion rings and sweet tea. I ordered the jumbo,the bun was bigger than the meat by a good bit, but it was okay but nothing great. Onion rings just the frozen kind. Ok Sweet tea was kinda weak and barely sweet but still ok. I have never left a poor review before and hate to now except that I write this hoping the owner reviews this page and cares about their business. It was clearly evident that it is a favorite little hotspot and clearly evident they are understaffed. I decided to order anyway because I was hungry and it must be good with all the folks there. There was one waitress and she was not young and she was aggravated at anyone ordering. She was rude to me and others that I witnessed. She was very efficient. Hands down a hard worker. I ordered my food to go and so paid upfront and left a great tip. She never said thank you, she could have cared less. I understand being short staffed. That is not her fault. Treating the customers like they are an inconvenience is not ok. Kudos to kitchen staff working hard to get the orders out. Food was pretty good. Service was horrible. Consistent quality and clean environment has drawn me to this place for most of my life. Servers are pretty good at handling all the traffic in and out. My secret meal is a regular burger (double meat), dressed (that means mayo, lettuce and tomato), with tater tots and a medium vanilla shake with an extra shot of vanilla. Simple, but good fare! Found this place on a long drive and it was the first non-gas station I ran across and decided to roll the dice, and I was glad that I did! Great, quick and friendly service. We we're looking for a place to eat a late lunch as we drove from Germantown to Adamsville. Everyone agreed on burgers and a Google search identified Burgers & Stuff. What a find!! The 3 teenagers I had with me were delighted with their milkshakes that had been so highly recommended in the reviews I had read. The real score was their spicy potato wedges. They were not too spicy but were very hot so take a small bite. Don't pop the whole wedge into your mouth as one of our teenagers learned. Totally a 5 out of 5 Place and we will be back. read more

This place is literally a side of the highway, in the middle of nowhere, greasy spoon...and it's why I like it so much. This place has been there as long as I can remember making road trips as a small fry to visit my family down south, and I just recently was on that stretch of highway and stopped in again. This place hasn't changed since the early 80's and probably the 70's for that matter. Burgers, Fries, Milkshakes, Chicken Fried Steak, and general southern greasy spoon food. Let's go back a few steps to the Milkshakes though. Yes, I capitalized Milkshakes, because these Milkshakes deserve it. Sure the "Burgers & Stuff" are just fine, but these Milkshakes will bring the boys from the yard. Maybe they are so delicious because they are in the middle of nowhere in Mississippi and it's always blazing hot and humid out there and it's one of the few stops on that stretch of highway that isn't a watermelon or tomato stand. Our group of 4 was traveling through the area on vacation and we stopped for lunch. What a great decision, as we always try to avoid chains and try the local places. Staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant was pretty crowded, and our waitress let us know that there was a group of 20 looking at the menus and if their order got in before ours, we might have a wait for our food. So we made our menu choices and she got our order in quickly so we could get our meal and get on our way. A few minutes later, we heard other servers tell their customers that the big group had ordered and their order would be cooked after the larger group. We appreciated the 'heads up', and the manager/owner made sure to thank us for stopping in after finding out were from 8 hours away and had hours yet to go to our destination. This is a great little restaurant. I am a Girl Scout leader and my troop likes to stop here on the way to camp. They are always very nice and have no problem accommodating 15 or so girls plus parents. The girls won't let me pass them by! Their burgers are simple but good.
