Good. Southern. Food and personality! Even though Big R's is drive thru only right now, we still enjoyed amazing personal service. On top of all that, the food was delicious. We had catfish sandwiches and bacon cheeseburgers. The filets were HUGE with decent portions of seasoned fries. The cheeseburgers had solid bacon, not that cheap stuff. It is totally worth the stop off on any journey to or from Tupelo.

Fantastic and quick service. Great bacon burger and tots. We should have gotten a milkshake may have put it over the top.

Small dine in place but good food and reasonable prices. Call ahead for daily specials and to place to go order for quick lunch run.

Nice lunch find by the wifey in Tupelo!…read more Food was mostly good, so let's start with that first. I enjoyed my meal and it was an amazing value. It think it was like $15 for meat, two veggies, and a dessert. C got the sphagetti with a side salad, roll, and black eyed peas. She had the shortcake for dessert. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes & gravy, cream corn, with jalapeño cornbread. My dessert was a bread pudding. I don't do spaghetti so I didn't try C's. My pot roast was really good. I ate it all. Somehow I managed to not get any veggies in it though, that made me sad. Mashed potatoes were instant I would say, gravy too. What can you say about creamed corn? Cornbread was cold but had nice flavor. Bread pudding was fair, way too sugary imo. We ate in the back where all of the wooden patio is. Really cool set up. The stage is amazing. I wonder how often they use it. There is a really cool bar in the middle. This place is cool! The fans came on and created a nice breeze inside. I imagine in 100 degree Tupelo it can get steamy in there! It was a nice fall day on my visit. I must say this, I think this place is strange in the way that it is set up. It has all the possible benefits of a nice buffet, but only to serve a meat and three type experience. It's a giant tease for a guy like me that wants everything he can see. I wanted to sample it all, but no. C says I should not dwell on things that are outside of my control but this place gives me the intrusive thoughts man. I want to grab the food and make a run for it! Why? Why show me all the food but not let me have it?!?!? Keep it on a hot table in the kitchen if you are just gonna tease me like that. I get that it is "cafeteria style", but it lacks the appropriate guards to keep my hands out of it. It also is having to be constantly staffed in two spots. I won't get into how much money I think they are wasting with this type of service set up. You need cooks, servers , food type servers, two different serving lines staffed with more people on each. Oh, ok I will get into it... Another pet peeve is also done here. You have real plates and silverware but you add a layer of disposable to the mix as well. This costs you more money and cheapens the meal in my opinion. I am sure it's for portion control, but they make serving utensils that offer portion control. To add to the visual ratchetness, it's a mixture of white styrofoam, black "patterned" styrofoam, and black polypropylene served on cream colored plates. Now. No one else probably gives a shit about any of that. No one will probably ever read this far anyway. It's all just journals and leaving bread crumbs for future Adam's for me I'd say. I am available for independent restaurant consulting. Large scale, commissary, and mom and pop places too. '25 - 111++++

I got a hot coffee one day, & an iced americano the next day. I'd do the americano again for sure. Especially with the hot weather here, iced is the way to go I'd say. My wife tried a latte too that was good; pretty sweet. They were out of matcha when we came unfortunately. Good AC. Pretty spacious inside--seems like a great place to get some work done or meet up with somebody. We came twice while we were here in Hamilton & this was a pleasant surprise. Prices are fair. Seemed to be fairly busy in the middle of the week.

I love the style and decor of this place. The Millhouse has an antique style with a modern American flair. Very nicely executed and feels very comfortable. There is a small swag shop inside with T-shirt's and merch and a high top long table toward the back offering a chessboard and other fun game activities. They offer a moderate coffee house lounge area with free WiFi just opposite the modest dining room. I loved the leather blacksmith apron uniforms. Nice touch. The service was a bit sluggish as there were very few guests in attendance and have a counter area where you pick up your food after you order. The staff were a bit quiet and not engaging. Alabama is known for its Southern hospitality. I would have liked to hear some gentle background music. The food was spot on, from the avocado toast to the maple glazed bacon egg and cheese sandwich. You know I appreciate the fresh ingredients and the focus of presentation. Nicely done and delicious! The coffee drinks were flavorful and tasty. Barista quality! This is a definite winner for the morning start! I would recommend stopping in and checking it out! KUDOS Y'all! Billy P.
