We picked out Burgerland from reviews while on a road trip back to Houston. Burgers were cooked to order, old fashioned, dripping with flavor. Reviews were accurate except for the fries. They were excellent but would feed 4 or 5 people, not just 2 and that was a small order! We had a hot air balloon at the first balloon festival in Paris I had heard a lot about Burgerland and wanted to eat there while visiting Paris. It ended up that they were selling burgers at the festival. They were so busy that I didn't have time to wait I was very sad because I had to get back to the balloon. The next day the owner came over to the balloon on the balloon field and took orders from our entire crew and deliverd the food complimentary from one of his best freinds who heard me talking about being so disappointed about not getting to have a Burgerland burger. And yes it is one of the best burgers you will eat. I ordered extra onion and jalapeños it was so fresh wrapped in paper like in the old days those of you who remember before the precooked burger in a box. read more

Wow! We were skeptical when we first drove up. But, it is obviously a paris landmark. A typical looking hole in the wall, but when u walk inside a warm friendly atmosphere as u take a seat at the counter. Great burgers fresh condiments and fantastic fries. Love this place. read more

Stopped by for lunch on our road trip after reading some of the other reviews. I had the chesseburger and "small" fries(aka XL). Amazing food! It was super busy and they handled very well. A consistently great place for a great burger, and a great down to earth atmosphere as well. I'm told their chicken sandwich is very good, though I always go for a chili cheeseburger. Even the small fries is enough for several to share. If you notice in the pictures they have two fryers, the proper way to do fresh cut fries. A first fry at a lower temp to cook through and a second at a higher temp to crisp. read more

AMAZING!!! This is nothing but an Old School, old fashioned, American burger joint. that's all there is too it they keep is simple and it taste so good. Hand made patties that are not cooked until you order. The grill is right there so you see everything and the staff is always willing to chat with you while you wait. My husband and I travel a lot. During these travels we always use yelp to find someplace new to eat. Burgerland did not disappoint! We sat behind the grill cook, watching and anxiously awaiting our food. That man had some mad grill top skills! Amazingly good little burger joint with a the hardest working staff we have ever come across. Expect to have to wait a few minutes, but only because a lot of other people will also be putting in their orders. The quality and serving size exceeded our expectations. This place is the all time ULTIMATE best place to get a burger (or fries)! They cook the burgers right in front of you, as well as the fries. Both are seasoned to perfection and HOT! when served. The fries are home cooked and the burgers are the juiciest burgers you will ever have. They do have other menu options, (chili cheese fries, frito chili pie, grilled cheese) all that can be cooked on a grill and are easy and fast! Amazing place to eat!! I love it and so does my family. The only down side would be that it is somewhat small and hard to sit down if you have a large party. read more

My wife and I were driving through and needed a quick bite to eat. Saw this place a solid reviews so we stopped. Fresh, not frozen patties thrown on the grill when ordered. Oh my gosh! That's all I can say! You will walk in but they will have to roll you out. So much food and so so good. I had the party melt that was to die for and a small fry which I couldn't even eat half of. My hubby had Red's Hot Steak and a massive order of cheese fries. We are beyond satisfied. Worked here in high school, and I still crave it all the time! Great place. This is by far the best place to get a burger in town. If you don't like the tight atmosphere of eating at a bar, there are picnic tables outside if the weather allows it. You can also call in to order if you want to take it home. Eaten here a few times only , because we don't live in town. Just tried it again after many months, and it was really good, especially the fries. Had it about 2 weeks ago and one of the burgers was under cooked. It was pink in the middle after 2 or 3 bites. Decided to give it 1 more chance today, and sure enough, pink in the middle. This time, both burgers. If we wanted them medium rare, that's how we would have ordered them. Not consistent enough to try again. read more
