I wanted to like this place . It is conveniently located across the street from the Tennessee aquarium and two blocks from our hotel . Upon entering you order your food first then grab your seat. I should have known I was in trouble by the lack of patrons on a Friday night . I ordered the Tennessee burger and my husband ordered the "award winning" 96 burger. We were both highly disappointed. The fries and ketchup were the best part of our meal. I am not sure how you get a burger wrong but Burger Republic has definitely succeeded. Food was good but service could have been a lot better. I came here with my newborn sleeping and my toddler so I asked if I could use the handicap access for my stroller. The waiter in the front said no it's only for people in wheelchairs so I explained and let him know my baby was sleeping. He told me no again and when I asked if they had a ramp he just said no. It was a very awkward encounter and felt very inappropriate as I clearly had a stroller and two children. He didn't offer to help me and we had to just take our stroller up the stairs. I will say our actual server was kind but the man in the front was rude and very inconsiderate. I came with my grandfather and other family members after a visit to the aquarium. We enter the restaurant and there is a line of 10-15 people. We go up to order and we were told that they couldn't take any more orders. Looking around, half of the restaurant is empty. My grandfather is 80 years old and requested to sit down while we had to wait to order. That request was denied and we were told to sit at a high top at the bar. If you've ever seen an 80 year old try and get into a high top seat, it isn't optimal. After 10 minutes of waiting on our feet, we were told there would be another 10 minute wait. We were told that food would take 20 minutes. If you'd like to order an overpriced burger and wait over an hour, you may enjoy this location. Our family was prompt to leave as we couldn't wait due to our IMAX movie coming up. Go to the snack island and get cheap nachos. Easier, faster, and doesn't come with poor customer service. read more

The burger was decent . It was not worth the price and not the best in town. The Angry Bird chicken samich is delicious, the only thing i would go there for again. The tator tots and the truffle tots (which are just regular tots with shaved parmesean cheese and green onions on them) were so salty we couldn't eat more than a few, and we can destroy some tator tots. The pepperoni cheese curds do not have pepperoni inside them, they're fried with the curds and put on top. The cheese curds themselves are delicious because they're cheese curds. No need to try to make them fancy and charge $9.50 for 10 cheese curds. I posted the total price for 2 meals and an appetizer because $52 (with tip) is outrageous. read more

Conveniently located across the street from the aquarium made it an easy decision to come here. Once you enter the doors you place your order and then you find a seat. It is self seating with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was delicious and I personally liked how the menu had meatless options. Knocked off a star because it is not accessible. The little elevator in the front wouldn't open on one side and on the other side the button wouldn't work. Hoping in the future they will get it to work. Check this place out! read more

The restaurant is located across from the aquarium parking lot. We came in on a Sunday so the place was nearly empty. The decor is modern with a nice outdoor patio area for dining. The service was great. We were greeted by the door where you also place your order before finding your own table. We decided to eat outside because the evening was perfect with a nice cool summer breeze. Our food was delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Nashville Hot tots. He said there was a ton of flavor and a decent amount of heat. The burgers were seasoned well and not over cooked. We'll definitely be back and will try out their hand spun milkshakes! read more

Rude Employees, I was 1 out of 13 people in the restaurant during lunchtime. Pretty empty. I was told I could sit anywhere, I sat at the empty bar waiting and was approached by a lady with a nose ring and colored hair telling me to leave because no one was going to find me in the empty restaurant. I moved and quickly left after having to sit facing a wall that said quality. Work on your approach with customers, especially ones that are visiting from out of state. read more

Mediocre food with crappy customer service. Not friendly at the register. Kept bringing the wrong food to our table and two empty bottles of ketchup. A lady came in with her small kids and was getting seated and a worker came and asked if she had ordered. She told him her husband was ordering and he told her she couldn't sit at a table because she hadn't ordered. The place was not busy, line was short and plenty of open tables. We walked in and there was no one at the counter where you order, so we peeked around the corner and the "host"(?) laughed at us, saying; "What are you doing? You have to order first before you can come in a sit down." A little rude, but we ordered. Any question got met with a laugh from this guy (who was working March 1 at 1:00) in between singing along to the song that was playing overhead. Did not care at all. Two burgers, two kids meals, and two shakes cost us $75. Ouch. And we had to tip before. I wish we would have walked out. We sat down outside and the music was so loud we had to yell across the small table. Not to mention we had children with, and the songs were extremely inappropriate. We asked the server if she could turn down the music outside (since the place was nearly empty and only 1 other family was outside). She said she would but she didn't. On top of all that, three of us who had a burger got sick the rest of the day. One of my kiddos had Mac and cheese and she was fine. Besides the sickness, the food wasn't that great. The fries were soggy, the burgers were bland and apparently tainted, and the shakes were way too much. Over the top with toppings and way too sweet for even my kids to enjoy. So I get my burger and eat about 1/4 of it before I noticed it was American cheese . Since I had eaten some, I hesitated to send it back. Curious as to where the communication breakdown occurred, I checked my receipt. The cashier guy had entered it "sub cheese" "American cheese". Oops! It happens. This confirmed that the taste and texture of the cheese I had just consumed was, in fact. American cheese. I went ahead and told a very nice lady with brown hair and a pony tail what happened. Not only did she she take it back and have it re-made, she brought me hot fresh tater tots while I waited! Then, after a bite, she checked on me to see that the burger was just what I ordered. It was! Delicious. Fantastic service. I will be back, and I'll check that my order has been rung up correctly before it goes to the kitchen next time. After having been to the other three Burger Republic locations in Nashville, I was excited to visit the one in Chattanooga when visiting for the weekend. This is the worst of the four locations. It's counter service only and Im being gracious with the word service. They have no physical menus or anyway to see what is being served other than to walk up to the counter and stand there. I went with a relative with mobility issues. They were less than accommodating to her. They were downright rude. When it came to getting her in and out of the restaraunt, none of the staff wanted to help. We tried calling the number listed on the lift but nobody answered. Our "waitress" got mad that we couldn't get my relative up to the counter to order fast enough, sent another person over to scold us about it, and then disappeared. I was brought the wrong food and the food runner was insistent that it was mine and got frustrated at us trying to be honest and say it wasn't ours. My husband got The Big Papi sandwich and had it in the Gulch location, but this time it was still pink in the middle which isn't safe for a product containing pork! The food runner was nowhere to be found to bring this issue up. Skip this location. read more

Excellent cool atmosphere very friendly. When you walk in menu on the wall you order and pay and they give you a beeper and deliver the food to your table. I got the Tennessee burger and was extremely disappointed. The fried onions were ice cold and the bacon was so burnt it was black. The buns were so sweet I felt as if I ate a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. Don't charge your customers for a side of sauce. Previously I rated this place 5 stars. No longer. They have changed their menu and taken out their supposedly award winning 96 Burger. Came in to order one. Online menu still has it but I was told they could not make it. Ended up skipping the burgers and getting pepperoni cheese curds. Still excellent. And Philly Egg rolls. Not good at all! Looks like they haven driven their customers away, as I and one other family were the only ones in the restaurant. Service mediocre at best. This restaurant will not survive 2023.
