Friendly service on a slow Friday lunch hour (I had the day off from work). I got a mushroom swiss (asked them to add fresh jalapeno, tomatoes, and lettuce), fries (with garlic aioli dipping sauce), and a soda.
I was pleased that the burger came wrapped in paper, which can help while eating such things, but it was still very messy. It was even challenging to pick it up out of the container at first and it wasn't sitting around for long - I ate it immediately in the dining area. When there were just a few bites left, the paper and bun basically fell apart. I figure the liquid from the mushrooms and onions (not to mention the burger and aioli) was too much. I think using a different paper might help. Maybe parchment paper? I did appreciate that they had plastic ware next to the drink dispenser because I had to use them to finish everything. The plastic ware weren't super sturdy but they didn't break on me either.
I would like to try other burgers but will probably not get the mushroom swiss again.
The fries were a little limp for my taste. I like a more crisp fry.
The games were interesting but I was a little confused about the operation. Each game stations has many games available (a few dozen?). When I first started to play, I was cycling through the available games trying to find the Simpsons game on the graphic outside the station but I never saw it so I settled on some kind of Knight game with King Arthur. That was interesting but when I wanted to try something else, I struggled to find a way to get out of the game... of course, there's an EXIT button at the top of the controls but I didn't even notice it at first. Anyway, once I got out, I couldn't find a way to get the point where I could select a different game. I kept bringing up some sort of administrative-looking menu (view the user manual, a couple of different options to restart the device) that I don't think a regular user should be able to open. I'm a very experienced software engineer and was very confused and a tad frustrated. I think a child would have trouble too.
I was a little surprised when I learned the restaurant is not open on Sundays but it makes sense considering something in their Purpose Statement.
Update: I brought up issues with the meal in a survey which came with my emailed receipt. They hit me back and said they are making improvements so I will probably try the mushroom/swiss again. I'm a sucker for mushrooms! read more
