I love burger lounge, but I got screwed! First let me say that burger lounge has the best burgers and absolutely the best crispy chicken sandwiches! Tonite though I got robbed. I recently switched from the amazing burgers to chicken The crispy chicken is better than most others. I saw that they had a grilled chicken breast sandwich that lookd like it could be entertaining than the one from the garret. We ordered two sandwiches tonite. One crispy one grilled. While it smelled amazing coming home I was extremely disappointed when opening the cartons. The crispy breast was huge. Just as usual! However the grilled breast was tiny and thin! ?? Seriously ...it was so small it was like you took the breast from the crispy and cut it in half then cut it in half again! Like a child's portion for 15 dollars!! We come to the Pruneyard very often and Burger Lounge has become our new favorite Burger joint. The food is good and it's ideally located. We let our toddler run around Pruneyard and then take him here for his grilled cheese. They have a good selection of Plant-Based Burgers. I personally like the Son of Butcher because of the caramelized onions and pickles but the other ones are also very good. They have a gluten free menu and you can also opt for no-bun. On weekends, it can get really busy and you might have to wait for quite a bit but otherwise service is very fast and staff is friendly. It does run on the smaller side though. On most occasions, I can't finish a burger so my husband will help me; but here I finished it (ignoring my husbands expectant eyes who then resorted to ordering another one for himself). The combo meals comes with a drink and sides. There are three sides to choose from: salad, fries, onion ring. There's also an option for the "half and half" which is half onion rings and half fries. During my visit, I had their Husky Burger with a side salad. My thoughts on my first bite," Juicy but not greasy." The hamburger was amazingly done really good, with amazing flavors coming all corners of the hamburger. Their side salad was also amazing. It a perfectly dressed salad with a mixture of greens and fresh veggies. Just ok. Healthy and pricey. Came here on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty. Majority of people sat outside. We ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and a SOB, Son of a Butcher. The patty was ok, it could have used more seasoning and the meat was smushed pretty flat so it was dry. The star of the show were the fries. They were hot and fresh and had the perfect amount of crisp. They tasted delicious without the ketchup. The ketchup is in a pump over by the soda fountain. I am not sure if it's because it's organic, but the ketchup was thin and watery. The onion rings were ok. The breading was seasoned and tasted like the outside of a mozzarella stick. I ordered the 50-50 for fries and onion rings but the portions were a little off. There were way more fries than onion rings. We also ordered a soda. They serve organic sodas but both the "cola" taps were out of order and the other flavors weren't as interesting so we went with root beer. It gets flat pretty fast. There is plenty of outdoor seating here. They have a smaller dedicated patio space in the front of the store that's fenced off. It was full when we were here so we sat to the side. It also allowed the bun to hold together and really shine, unlike the cod and beef patties. Their toppings are terrific, but it would be nice to see them include a vegan cheese option. Also, please note, that their Thousand Island dressing is not vegan either, as it has cheese in it as well. The choice between fries and rings here is an easy one, as the fries are good but their onion rings might be the GOAT! The Crunchy and flavorful coating is great by itself, but the onions also have just the right toothsome bite to them. Burger Lounge is probably my favorite burger chain going right now, as there really are no bad decisions to be made here. There is an issue with the cleanup that still needs to get addressed. They don't seem to do the rounds on the table wipes as much as they should and sometimes the soda station is a wreck. I'll start off by saying that the staff were very friendly. It was a busy Friday night but we got our food fast and everyone was really nice despite there being a lot of people. The burgers were a lot smaller than I expected for the price ($9-$10 for just the burger, no fries included). The Plant Based Lounge burger was a 3/5 for me. It was your standard impossible burger nothing about it really stood out to me. My boyfriend got the S.O.B and said it was good, his patty was a lot thicker than my burger and, again, nothing really stood out about the burger. We shared the large half and half which comes with fries and onion rings and it was just enough for the both of us. The onion rings were my favorite part of the entire meal. They seemed to be coated in panko bread crumbs which gave them a nice crust. We asked for bbq sauce as a dip and were really put off by the taste. It tasted more chili (yes, like the sauce from chili beans) and neither of us ended up using it. The fries were pretty good for my taste, not too bland and not too salty. Finally, I got a dairy free strawberry "milkshake" which was definitely a smoothie. The "milkshake" wasn't sweet or tasted like it had ice cream but rather a yogurt base and was more tart. The texture of the strawberries were very prominent and tasted like they used fresh strawberries instead of strawberry ice cream, again more like a smoothie. The "milkshake" was the most disappointing part of the meal for me. It's dog-friendly but you can't bring your dog inside. I held Jasper and asked them how can I place my order. They can sense the irritably in my demeanor so they took my order. I ordered a Lounge Burger and for Gavin I ordered the kid's cheeseburger. The kid's meal comes w/ fries and an ice cream scoop. The restaurant gets pretty busy during the weekend lunch rush so come early or be prepared to take your food to-go. Gavin managed to get a table outside. Whilst I grabbed our beverages I asked them for a water dish for Jasper. Please note that there is only one water dish. I would suggest to bring your own. I was puppy-sitting and wanted to do things I never got to do; take a dog out w/ me everywhere I go. When I can the first thing I will do is adopt a dog. Let's get back to the burgers. We have been on a pretty good run as of late. The glass half empty part of me keeps expecting the next time we eat out to be some sort of epic disaster. Today was not the day. Based on good reviews by Yelper John D and others, we decided to take a quick trip to Campbell to scope out the newest entry into a very crowded burger field and check this place out ourselves. Burger Lounge(BL) is following a formula that several successful burger places have. You take good ingredients, stress the organic or local nature of the food, perhaps throw in a few craft draft beers, limit your menu to a decent choice but manageable, and stuff all of this into a fast casual kind of atmosphere. As John D noted those of us in the Bay Area have seen this play out in places like Super Duper Burger et al. The model seems simple to carry off, but as many have found execution is a much harder aspect. I'm excited to say that the BL is hitting all of the right spots. The Food: Trumer Pilsner: Served in a properly chilled glass and fresh. Nuff said Lemonade: All are organic and both the Hibiscus and the line version were nice. These are adult style with a nice sweetness to them but not cloyingly so. Right balance of lemon etc. Onion Rings: These were super good. breaded and properly fried, I could eat them by the bakers dozen. The breading had bits of parsley in it which added to its visual appeal Fries: Again nicely fried and had great flavor. The salting was spot on. The Lounge Burger: We ordered two actually the only difference was that one had both fresh and grilled onions on it. The meat was well seasoned, juicy, and for once cooked a proper medium. The side elements were nice as well. Lets face it, who doesn't like gooey cheese on their burger? The fresh bun was quite nice, but did struggle to hold its structural integrity together by the end. Just the right amount of 1000 island dressing rounded things off. We both had the 1/3 pound patty. If you have a bigger appetite they do have a 1/2 pound husky but its pretty big. A generous amount of pickles rounded off the burger and added a nice salty element cutting into the richness of the dressing and cheese. Cod Sandwich: Looked to have the same breading as the onion rings. It also was good but not great. something was missing. The individual elements were there but we were hard pressed to figure out what was missing. That being said, the fish was again cooked perfectly. Fresh Vegetable Salad: It lived up to its name. The assorted greens and ingredients were really fresh. Not a bad leaf in the bunch. The corn added a nice sweet crunch to the whole affair and with some of the grilled chicken we saw come out of the kitchen it would make for a nice lunch if your not into burgers. That being said the buttermilk ranch was really bland and did not offer much to the salad as a whole. Next time we will order it with the vinaigrette. The space had a nice modern feel to it and the staff was friendly and efficient. The major issue is that there is limited seating and given the popularity of Pruneyard, parking during busy times sucks. My friend and I ate lunch here on Labor Day and there were a lot of people here. The parking was limited but we were lucky to find a spot close by. I already researched the menu online before coming here so I knew what I wanted. I ordered The "Husky" meal ($16.95) and upgraded the soda to The Big Lounge Shake (chocolate) ($2 more). They gave me a pager which never went off since we were outside even though we were right next to the window of the restaurant. The chocolate milkshake came out first and that was delicious. They even gave me the metal cup with the rest of the milkshake that couldn't fit in the decently-sized cup. The "Husky" burger was good and I thought all of the ingredients complemented each other. I really wanted to love this place, but my first impression was that it's like a better version of Five Guys. I'll likely come back but don't count on me running back. My boyfriend and I came during a pretty busy time. It was around 6pm on a Saturday evening, so we got in around the dinner dash. The ordering queue went by pretty fast, but the orders were backed up so the wait time for food to be delivered or called out was ~15-20 min. My food came out quicker than the root beer float I ordered with my meal. Finding a seat was a challenge, but the turnaround for parties dining in then leaving was quick. Customer service needs work. There were more staff members delivering food to the tables than there were staff members clearing off tables. Every time my boyfriend tried to flag a server zipping by, no one acknowledged him. Visibly frustrated, he finally had to holler at someone in the kitchen to get someone else to clear off the table we were sitting at. Food was way overpriced for just being OK. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich meal with a side of onion rings ($1 extra) and root beer float ($2 extra). My boyfriend ordered the Lounge Burger meal with a side of fresh cut fries and regular drink. Is it sad that I thought the sides were better than the main entrees? The onion rings were the best bar none. They were super crunchy, seasoned well, and not too thick of batter. I also loved the fries. They really did taste freshly cut. My only issue with the fries was that it would've been nicer if we got longer pieces. 90% of our fries were short and stumpy. Both of the fried items didn't feel heavy or greasy, so perhaps Burger Lounge uses a healthier oil for deep frying. Burger Lounge prides in its grass-fed beef and good quality ingredients, but it doesn't mean food has to taste bland or have no personality. I thought that the Lounge Burger and Crispy Chicken Sandwich were mediocre. I could totally taste the freshness of the burger meat and crispness of the lettuce, tomato, and onions in the Lounge Burger. The beef patty, however, needed more salt/seasoning. I thought that the thousand Island dressing on the burger was unimaginative and had no real distinct flavor that sets it apart from other places. The meat in my Crispy Chicken Sandwich was too dry. Luckily my sandwich was more flavorful than my boyfriend's burger, because the same good seasoned batter used for the onion rings was used for the chicken. My root beer float was refreshing and not bad. I've had better elsewhere, but it hit the spot so can't complain. Speaking of beverages I did take notice that the sodas were made with sugar cane. There were also obscure sodas that I wouldn't normally see anywhere, such as ginger beer and Shirley Temple sodas. I love Shirley Temples, but it's usually a custom drink at restaurants. So if you're wondering where all my reviews have been, well it's called having a baby. So how was this place? Pretty good overall. Grass fed cows make for a good burger! I would compare this place to Super Duper burgers in terms of taste and style, but a little bit better. Staff is friendly and the quality of burgers is good overall. I forgot to ask for mine to be medium rare, but there is always next time. They have their own home brewed lemonade which is fantastic and the wait for your food isn't too long. I got there just after the lunch rush, so I could sit anywhere -- inside or outside. The staff were friendly and engaging as I did a quick look at the menu. I noticed the Beers on tap. I ordered the Lounge Burger with Avocado (since it was National Avocado Day) and made it a meal with Onion Rings and a Fountain Drink. I got a pager, and they deliver your food order to your table. I was in the area and decided to try this new burger place that had opened recently. Walked in to a nice, clean and colorful restaurant. There was plenty of staff ready for the lunch rush. One of them was greeting each customer as they walked in, and the cashier was ready to give me recommendations on the menu since it was my first time. Customer service was great! I got the 1/4lb Lounge Burger with grilled onions and added bacon, and a half and half onion rings and fries. The burger was bigger than I was expecting, and looked visually pleasing. Even the fries and onion rings looked good. They seem to care about the food presentation. Burger was delicious. Patty was cooked medium, and the burger wasn't slathered with sauce, so it was juicy, but not soggy. Seems like they use a wheat bun, which is a little different, but it was still good. The onion rings were super crispy, and together with the fries were seasoned very well. Overall this place was amazing. Will definitely come back. read more

Wow! What happened to my fave burger spot? Just finished a very disappointing meal. The fries were woody and over-salted. The burger was decidedly meh. I've always loved their burgers here. So tasty and juicy usually . Not tonight. It didn't help that a worker chose to empty the enormous overflowing trash receptacle while I was eating 2 feet away. I'll try BL again because I hope this is just an off night. $21+ is too much to drop on a crummy meal. read more
