On our way back up north so we decided to grab Lunch here while on the road. We are big fans of…read moreCane's so we know what we like and we know the quality and great taste they provide. Sadly today was a big disappointment. The staff is not as peppy as all of the other locations across the US so that was a bummer bc we could have use some of that energetic environment. Secondly, it was not as clean. Lastly and main reason for 2 stars was the texture taste of the chicken was off, the batter was not burned but it had a weird taste and it was too hard UNLIKE the other locations where the batter is crispy but not hard. Also the seasoning of it was off. The fries were over cooked and had tons of salt. I don't know if this region has their main customers that enjoy a high amount of sodium but yuck it was not up to par with what we are used to. Raising Cane's is an incredible way place to eat some great tasting chicken and I will continue to be a fan but this location is not doing what they should be. I read that another Yelper had a similar experience with the chicken.

The restaurant is large and open but still has a definite diner vibe. And the food is fantastic. We shared a crayfish poboy and a catfish basket (both with fries). Both were excellent. The fries were only single-fried, but were cut thick enough that they tasted good (especially when dipped in there positively delicious homemade ranch... seriously, all the World Cup tourists who've fallen in love with ranch need to find this spot). We'll definitely be returning as we pass through Texarkana fairly regularly going to visit relatives in AR. I'm just tickled that we now have somewhere more interesting than Taco Bell or Arby's to stop at as we do.

I can't come to Texas without getting an order of jalitos because they're amazing! The drive thru had about 3 people in it when I got there, and it moved pretty quickly! The gentleman who took my order was really nice and patient even though I had done zero planning on what I was going to order prior to my arrival and I just ordered based on vibes. When I got to the window I realized I forgot to order one of my kids a drink and the lady who was paying me out was so kind and helpful with adding that onto the order. I did have to pull around to the front to wait but the wait wasn't too long when you consider the amount of food I ordered, but most importantly the order was accurate and the food was fresh. While I can't review the inside of the establishment because I didn't go inside, the drive thru was ran really efficiently and all 3 of the employees I interacted with were really friendly and nice and the food was great!
