No "Nightmare King" offered here, but less than 2 minutes, food was ready. Finally, fast food the way it's supposed to be.

My wife and I have been coming here off-and-on for 13 years. Needless to say, it's up and down…read more We dined this past Friday, February 13th at this location. The service took forever. We sat for 25 minutes before our order was taken. We waited another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The server (older gentleman with parted salt and pepper hair, chubby guy) simply slammed our plates on the table and left. The food was cold and had obviously died in the window (this allows for foodborne illnesses to populate). He didnt come back for quite some time. We were so hungry that we ate the cold and subpar food. Long after our plates sat on the table, he stopped by. I was polite and told him the food was cold. He then got mad and started blaming us. He told me that I should have made him aware, and he responded by telling me I didnt let him know. My response was "you didn't come back".....and wow did he get mad. He slammed the table and told me to talk to the cashier. Come to find out, the cashier is the female owner. She was very rude and refused to make things right while displaying zero integrity whatsoever, but offered us a discount on our next visit (isn't going to happen, they couldn't run my credit card fast enough and shove us out the door). The server was at the host stand and started talking smack about us (thinking we dont know Spanish). Once my wife stepped back in to the restaurant and looked at him, he shut up quickly. If you read reviews you will notice a trend. When things are great, they are great. When they drop the ball, they become combative and refuse to take ownership and accountability for their failures as an establishment. What a terrible way to represent the El Nopal brand. We will never be back. Save your money for a restaurant that displays passion on a consistent basis. If you want Mexican food, go to a different restaurant that upholds traditional Mexican values instead of completely disrespecting their own culture and values with their poor representation. The one good thing during our visit was the band. They were fun!

I'm not sure what has happened here. The service has disappeared for all intents and purposes…read more Stories of waiting 45 minutes after ordering and giving up, paying for beverages and leaving. Lots of possibilities not the least of which is ICE scaring off employees. This store has been a reliable, friendly and welcoming location. I hope it gets back to that state.

Wow, what an experience! And I don't mean a good one. This Popeyes had previously closed and…read morerecently opened up under new management. So my wife and I drive 30 minutes to specifically dine here since we do like Popeyes. We arrive at 11:30 and try to enter the door, but it is locked. We see people inside, so we go around to the other door and it was also locked. A customer that was already inside got up from their meal and opened the door for us. A customer did this, not a Popeye employee. The Customer yelled at the counter and said "there's something wrong with your doors because they keep locking". No response from staff. So we ordered our food and drinks. I ordered a diet coke and was told that it was probably out, but I could try it!! I said that's OK, I will just get a regular coke and was told "well, I know that is out". So I paid for a drink, but got water instead. While we were dining, a couple of guys came to the door and of course it was locked. My wife got up and let them in. Then an employee came out of the kitchen and told her not to do that anymore because they were experiencing an oil leak on their cooker and were having trouble keeping up with demand. My wife told the employee that if that's the case, they should put a sign on the door stating dining room was closed. The employee said they couldn't put a sign on the door without a Popeye's Logo. And then she said that she didn't want to put a sign on the door because they would lose Customers. They were already losing Customers. The two guys my wife let in, left after hearing the conversation. A few minutes later a second couple tried to enter but the door was locked and no one let them in. However, some people were using the drive thru so they were able to prepare some food. The argument given did not make sense. She didn't wan't to lose Customers, but she wouldn't allow Customers in to dine. And I'm sure in an emergence case, Popeyes Corporate would have preferred a sign be place on the door stating the dining room is closed, food prep may be slow, but please try the drive thru, in lieu of posting nothing and locking the doors. And last but not lease, by wife tried to use the Ladies restroom but it was locked with a sign stating it was Out of Order. AND THE SIGN DID NOT HAVE A POPEYES LOGO ON IT SO I GUESS THEY WERE IN VIOLATION OF CORPORATE RULES!!!! I'm predicting this location will be closed within six months. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! As an aside, the chicken was OK.

Ordered online but was closed when I got there. Of course they still charged my card. Tried to…read morecall the next day and the message says this number is not accepting calls. Tried to message through their online system and it kept telling me my order is being worked on even though I reported the store was closed. Tried to email but the site told me there was a problem. What absolute poor customer service. With the service this poor I can't imagine that the food would be fresh. Major problems at this location. Very poor management.
