I don't usually go to Burger King. I never really cared for it. Stopped in today and was pleasantly surprised. Inside was clean, staff were friendly and attentive. The food came out hot, fresh and exactly as ordered. (A lot of places, recently, seem to be rushing, messing up orders and they have a problem with not checking their orders before they go out) Prices are usually a bit high but I checked the deals in their app and got a great deal. Cheaper than other places! Pahoa Burger King is stepping it up! read more

This location is straight up trash. Stay away from here and go to McDonald's. Whoever takes their orders in drive thru needs to clean their ears. They messed up on my order. The double cheeseburger was good. Overall this location sucks. read more

I had the Whopper Jr 2 times this past week and both times very good. Fresh veggies, bun and tasty. Fries were also good. Nice clean restaurant. Only down fall no free refills on drinks. I can see maybe one free refill but understand it can be a challenge to track. The staff is very friendly. The only con is one toilet. read more

Stood in an empty front lobby, after pulling into an empty parking lot with an empty drive thru and still waited 10 mins for someone to even take my order. When someone, FINALLY, came out, they didn't even greet me just "So are you ready to order?" and then they acted like i'm such an inconvenience by just placing an order. Don't spend your money here shit is trash. read more

Carol hands down has the best costumer service I have ever experienced at a fast food place! She truly makes it so I have to keep coming back!! She makes my husband and I feel so special and knows when it's our order and us at the window!!! She gives the best vibes and makes you feel remembered, welcomed and special! Burger king is burger king. Nothing special really. But the service is what makes different. Bandit and I were so hungry after hiking around the volcano park for 8 hours. It was past 8am and most of the eateries nearby already ending their dine-in store hours. Goodness this closest fast food we can ever grab something faster is open! Went through the drive-thru and as usual it's so slow like most drive-thrus are. Ordered salad, double cheese burger and crosscut french fries. Pretty impressed on the salad coz it was refreshing and crunch & I am so glad I ordered it. French fries is a bit soggy and for the cheeseburger is just the same with other burger king. The service is fair enough. They did the best they can to serve you good. And if we will be stuck in the volcano park alate at night again I will still consider this place to feed my monstrous tummy here. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps! read more

Horrible service! 5/7/2025 Ordered online at 12:15pm Went to pick up at 12:45 pm and they said Ordered was not made yet! Waited another 30 plus minutes! Only 3 employees were working. Never going Pahoa Burger King again. read more

Super fast, efficient and helpful service, and a really yummy burger! Can't complain!

Plan ahead and avoid the Burger King in Pahoa! You're better off at any of the other restaurants near here than going here. The food is the same as every other BK but the prices are at least double what you'd pay at any other...and the electronic menu is conveniently malfunctioning. A Double Whooper meal and a Double Whopper sandwich, and shake ran $34.32. We will never come back ! read more

Burger King - Receipt - Fast Food Near Me - Pahoa, Hawaii

Best Tourist Place In Pahoa!! Quick, smells good when you walk in. Those poor worker's need a new Job ‍

We were stuck in the drive through with only 1 car in front of us for the longest we've ever, ever waited. Would've left but there was a car behind us, so we waited about 15 minutes just to order. Then when we got to the window, the lead car was still waiting for food. The cars behind us hadn't even ordered yet. With an experience like that, your stomach is too tense to even be hungry by the time you finally get your food. NOT WORTH IT. read more

Ashley is an amazing fast paced and very kind worker ! Give her a raise !! Also I absolutely adore the lobby so cute !

I assume this is a money laundering business. If corporate stopped by this place would be shut down immediately. I had to go to a Burger King in Hilo just to confirm that its only the Pahoa location on BI that is this bad. I always wondered why there was always a line for their competitor across the street, and crickets at this BK. For the record, I have been to this place half a dozen times,(every time a new commercial came out) until I learned to get BK in Hilo. Haven't tried to launder money there yet, but paying their crazy prices makes me feel like I am cleaning somebody's money. *Will update with a score for their money laundering operation. read more

This location in Pahoa is the slowest moving drive thru ever. And there was only two other vehicles in front of me. It was taking so long, I turned off my vehicle to save my gas. On top of that my whopper was stale. And that card board straw got to go. I dont know if I will go back. Maybe ill just go across the street to McDonald's. So sad. read more

I thought fast food was supposed to be cheap. $11 for a basic hamburger meal? I will never eat here again. read more

I angry ate my spicy chicken sandwich and onion rings, which cost $11.18 It was just after sunset so dark, but the sign with the food and prices was impossible to read. What made it worse is their order screen (which has been broken forever) is lit up like the Fourth of July, making it even harder to read the sign. If I had been able to read that the sandwich would cost $7.69, I WOULDN'T HAVE ORDERED IT. Prices like this are serous and piss me off, especially in Pahoa. The onion rings taste worse than the frozen ones you bake at home. It is unbelievable that the franchise owner gets away with this. read more

955 pm 7-11-21. location closes 2 hours early while I'm in the drive through. Female employee rudely tells me to back out of the drive through so she can put cones. she Makes a scene when male employee takes my order in parking lot. Waited outside for 30 min no food. Poorly handled. read more

Fairly good experience, just had to wait about 8-10 mins. for our order. Counter person pleasant and orderly. Food came out tasting fresh and hot, just wish the fries had been cooked but longer, they were albino and didn't seem fully cooked. Was nice to see the Whoppers haven't changed much in size and quality over the years as it had been several since having the Whopper. We got the 2 meals for 15.00 which seemed fair but paid extra to upsize from small fry/soda to medium. The ketchup dispenser was oddly very thin/ runny dripping off the fries? And I know it's due to cost but hate when no napkin dispensers available without having to go up and ask for them (and salt)! But overall good experience and we'd go back. read more

I went in to buy a coffee drink and use the restroom, and was asked for proof of vaccination! I kindly told the cashier that I will never patronize their establishment again. I do not have to divulge my vaccination status to anyone! You will not be open much longer, and it will be a blessing to the community! read more

Taste like every other Burger King but cost 2.5x as much as the others. When the whoppers became 2 for $10 and a pop is $3.25 we decided it's creeped into the bottom range of a sit down restaurant. So last time for us read more

Bread was stale and service took awhile considering I only ordered two sandwiches. Not really interested in going back to this Burger King.

It's Burger King, so what can you really expect food wise? However, every time I've been the service has been back and forth. Sometimes the worker at the window is on it and friendly, and sometimes they screw up my order and seem a bit lackluster. We only come if nobody feels like cooking dinner or eating in a sit down restaurant. read more

I was very disgusted last weak when I went in to grab a ice cream Sunday here at the Burger King Pahoa and witness a male employe in the back spitting something brown into a cup ! I got my ice cream and went to my truck where parked next to me was the guy who I saw spitting in the cup in the kitchen . I watched as he pealed a Beatle nut and freshened his chew ! Really lame disgusting and a health hazard !!!! read more

They don't honor deals from the app. I was also curious to try the Impossible Whopper but no way am I paying $12 for a fast food burger.

Food is fine. Service ok. Prices are insanely jacked up. They wouldn't even accept app coupons.

Be aware that some of the employee's at this eatery Burger King are prone to not wearing masks and allowing their friends that are at the counter to NOT wear a mask. Tonight we went in...to order and a "Pacific Islander" women with a small child was standing at the counter talking with one of the "Pacific Islanders that was an employee of Burger King standing there talking to her. Guessing it could have been her child and mother? Neither had masks on. She only very slowly put on her mask after I asked the person behind the counter "where is her mask". Then when she took our one order of two for $9.00 with one small drink, it came to $21 and some change. Either the sign is deceptive or she charged us for sandwiches ?? So we were trying to communicate to her what we wanted. She didn't communicate back to us......so we walked out! Again either the sign is deceptive or she needs to be trained. She didn't even come clean the counter after the lady left even after she let the kid sit on the counter and stand on it. read more

My husband and I live in Puna we decided to take a drive into kona and get some shopping done At Costco after a day of shopping before heading home we stopped at Burger King on Palani via drive thru the girl at the window took our order which was a whopper meal no fries opted for onion rings instead get to the window she handed my husband the soda in such a way that it almost fell on his lap this girl dose not belong working with customers we found her very rude we are not eating at Burger King at any location one bad apple spoils the whole bag I am very dissatisfied with this kind of service remember as customers we pay your bills and employees never again read more

If I can rate a negative 10 I would. Last night I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo and my husband ordered a whopper combo. I pulled up to the window and was not greeted by a less than friendly employee. Didn't smile, didn't offer ketchup much less say hi. I ate the chicken sandwich and about an hour later started feeling sick. My stomach hurt and I felt super nauseous. After a half hour or pain and sweating, I finally caved and had to vomit my entire meal! I felt soooooooooo much better after I did. I know...TMI. But I'd rather state this and prevent people from a potential stomach bug. DONT GO THERE. For the same price, you can get a better burger and hot fries down the street at the Black Rock! read more

First off, this is NOT my first time to this Burger King. I have usually had mildly-acceptable service here, but today was RIDICULOUS! It's was freaking 9:40 am (just 15 minutes ago), and the girl taking the order kept screwing it up. Then when we pulled up to the drive-thru, my husband handed her $40.17 (our total was $25.17), all while she tried handing us three of our drinks at the SAME time. Then she puts the money in the drawer, closes the drawer, and walked towards the cooking area, while talking to her co-workers. Then another workers comes to the window, reciting our order back to us, so before saying bye, my husband told her that we didn't get our change, she tells the original order taker that we didn't get our change, so she calls the manager to open the drawer, and then she hands us back our "change".....a $5 bill; my husband told her "we gave you two $20s, a dime, nickel and two pennies, so our change should be $15 NOT $5, so she hands my husband two more $5 bills, and just gave him an evil stare. This kind of service pisses me off, especially being a hospitality & business major my self, AND I'm originally from Puna so WTF is up with her damn service?! A'ole A'ole A'ole! read more
