Very Understaffed longest wait at the drive thru not worth it at all for a burger

My wife and I stopped in today for lunch. We both remember when this location opened. Out of all the BK around us this one was the cleanest and friendliest. * We really don't go to Burger King that much because we don't live on this side of town anymore and we try and limit our fast food dining anyway..... Today we ordered two of the Whooper Jr Hamburgers with fries. We also ordered two hot apple pies. We used a coupon that my wife got in the mail. With the coupon the lunch was $11. Friendly reminder; find your coupons!!!!! Our lunch was really good!!!! Absolutely no issues, concerns or problems with our meal! Everything was fresh and tasted great. The hot apple pie tasted good ad well! The staff were friendly and busy taking care of customers. I did notice only 3 staff members working at this store. The manager was helping the staff and was friendly with us and as well as to his staff. The dining area appeared to be cleaned and well stocked with supplies. As an added note; our visit was at 12 noon time on a Friday. We will definitely come back in the future. * After reviewing the Yelp reviews for this BK I honestly don't know and understand why the scores are so low! This location is so suspicious. They don't want you pulling up to the window to wait on your food. I asked them why do they do that because no one else does that and the employee told me because they want us to have fresh food. Soooooo the food won't be fresh if you wait at the window? So food was not good.. Impossible burger was suppose to be plain with nothing on it and instead had extra pickles which had soaked the bread making it impossible to eat.. the double cheeseburger was cold and cheese was not melted.. also was suppose to be a mocha iced coffee and it was not mocha.. the diet coke had no coke flavor tasted terrible.. the fries were ok kind of but not enough salt.. the drive thru took forever.. I wanted fast food and all the other places had lines so I thought going to BK was the answer. I was very wrong. I order one chicken sandwich. I see three employees laughing inside standing there and I get told to pull up to the stop sign and wait for my food. I also have to wait for them to take my order, and there was no one at the window, just one car at the stop sign. Waiting at the stop sign, alone in the dark out of eye sight of the building doesn't strike me as a great idea. Food was hot when it got delivered. I am just confused having no line and seeing three employees standing there laughing fully engaged in a conversation inside when I have to wait to order and wait for food. We drove through and had a car picnic because we had an evening class nearby. McDonald's is always a 20 minute wait so it isn't really fast food nor so I ever say that was good. I ordered the whopper jr with cheese and bacon and I would say it was pretty close to home made. The toppings really make it stand out. I splurged on calories and got the onion rings a delicious diversion from fries. I wish I had remembered how much it like the sauce oh well next time. Pretty good! We do pick up here and always fresh and walk in and grab it. If they are out of anything they always suggest a replacement.

The soda machine on the floor only had coke. The serving trays were sticky. All the tables were dirty. We went here because chilies was packed. The location is beautiful but the employees do not deliver. The only one helping people was the older lady. read more

I am a store manager restaurant too, the floor is nasty, the windows are nasty, the soda machine without any ice, all employees playing games and giving away a lot of items free every day with no reason. I don't understand why Burger King corporate doesn't send any inspector there ????? All employees are working so slow, no good attitude. Went in to Burger King today and was waiting on my order, I requested fresh fries, I notice that no one had dropped fresh fries , so when I asked them to make me some fresh fries the employee started talking in the back very rudely saying I just dropped those fries which I was watching so I tasted the fries and they were soggy and greasy , I then showed her the fries and she started arguing very rudely and going back a forth , the guy I don't know maybe was the manager asked her to be quiet and just drop some more fries but she kept on going back and forth and acting like a five year old , saying stuff like why are you talking to me and my bag was busted and she cheered that on with laughter and saying good for me, but never offered me a bag for replacement , she also was re-dropping already cooked fries and onion rings back in the grease and they were soggy and greasy and I told her what I observed because I watch my food and she just got louder and was so argumentive until I left, that was bad business, I asked for the corporate number but all I was told is , its on the door which it was not , I am really offended because she was not professional and people was watching this type of behavior and this use to be my most favorite Burger king, its not all employees becuase service never has been this bad, most of the time they are Great, and also i applause the young man for trying to handle the sitution with Professionalism and respect, Thank Jay! read more

I ordered online. I get there and they tell me they are out of small patties for the melt. Ok then just use regular size?.. this was too hard for the girl the speaker to comprehend. I sit at the window for 20 minutes (no one in front of me) and they give me half of my order. I ordered the cheesy tots and all that was in there was mozzarella sticks. They then informed me at the window that they do not have cheesy tots. So without even asking me or telling me, they subbed them with mozzarella sticks. Mind you, there are Just a few cars in parking lot. They open at different times daily. You will be in the drive through and see 3-4 staff standing outside smoking and talking. i've really never quite encountered anything like this specific location Burger King. i really enjoy BK and this one is the closest to my home, so i've visited a few times. Their diet pepsi ALWAYS tastes like straight up soda water. One saturday afternoon i went for lunch and was told they "aren't really serving anybody right now" with no further explanation. i am currently sitting in the drive through and not a single car has moved in at least 15 mins. it should also be noted that the drive through windows have NO cars at them and the parking lot is empty. it's NOT busy. The owner of this location should take a serious look at the management and staff because this really is, time and again, the worst experience i have in this area for food time and time again. read more

Gave them a second chance and got the same poor experience and contracted food poisoning. Same Shift manager both times clearly struggle to keep the kids on staff to stay on task. I wish I could give a zero since I have given this location two different visits this year and it has only gotten worse. Earlier last month I came through for lunch and the wait seemed like forever. I figured it was the lunch "rush" but it was just the service. I ordered a whopper meal cheese and some nuggets for my child. The Clerk came out of the building to take my payment [ which afterwards seems like I was over charged cause it was 20 dollars ] 45 minutes from start to finish and the food was okay. The whole reason I have logged back into my account that was for just reading reviews was to just vent on my visit last night. I drove through about 9:50PM to just grab a couple of burgers, no meals. The line was short so I got in line and waited maybe 10 minutes before the person two cars infront of my vehicle finally moved. By the time I got to the order menu, I was greeted with " Please take a look at the menu and we'll be with you in a minute" I sat there for about 15 minutes. I think I saw the menu put an order on the screen [ I think they were ringing themselves to go meals] and eventual I just heard the mic clicking. The person a few cars behind decided to honk and probably assumed I was taking my sweet time; so they figured they'd go around me to the window while showing me they were #1. So I decided to just move out the line and grab a jr cheeseburger at the redheaded burger joint down the road and was out of their line with food in less than 10 minutes. Do I have some patience? If they just said hey we're closing up or something I probably could of just been on my way. I wanted to come back and update my review. I gave them another chance recently and have to say the last couple times I went my food was actually good, fresh and hot. Only thing is the jalapeño bites don't have any flavor like the first time I ordered some. Either way, I'm glad to see they have gotten better. I have tried twice this week to eat at Burger King Oakleaf in Jacksonville Fl. First evening being out of burgers was odd. I tried tonight with no cars in line while all others restaurants are lined up. And the young man with glasses told me they are open only in drive thru, but have no burgers. If you are out of every burger you sell 2 evenings a week you need to evaluate if Burger King should remain in business. They take 10-15 minutes per order IF they have food. A supervisor should evaluate why all other restaurants around are packed and Burger King has no customers. Many think they are closed. If they get stock they need a sign that says we are open and have food to sell. read more

You know I read the bad reviews about this place but I decided to try it anyway. This is my second time and it is also my last. Fool me twice but you won't fool me a third. I'm not sure what's going on with the leader ship in this particular Burger King but I only ordered a burger and I have probably been in line for 10 minutes.
