Apart from that there's seating area behind the restaurant that's relatively clean. The only zonk I had eating there would be that someone decided to start smoking near the eating area so perhaps there's not any or visible enough no smoking signs around. The food tastes really good but it's what you'd expect for the price you pay. A good burger these days with that much flavor costs about this much so nothing really sets this place apart from other locations other than the fact that you can have that drive in experience. I don't see myself particularly picking this location over other gourmet burger places if I had the choice but it was a fun experience coming here twice now, once for the drive in experience and another to sit in the back.

I remember being young and not having a ton of money to hangout and celebrate with friends. I saw a group of high schoolers come by and sit on another table - burger, fries, coke and good old times. Even though I have not written about the food specifically nor took a Pic, it's coz I was hungry and gobbled down the food right when it was hot. We went with friends (also former Texans). We got the "Picnic" platter. It served four just fine. The sides were all excellent - especially the greens. The meats were all just shy of a bullseye. The preparation and cook was great, I just swear there something special about the beef, wood, and pit masters in Texas. Otherwise as good as we've had... outside of Texas.

They offer happy hour all day on Sundays, and since they don't take reservations, it's first come, first served. We arrived a little after 2 PM and there was plenty of open seating inside and out. This location is in the Spring District, which is super convenient if you're taking the light rail since it drops you off right there. It's located next to a park like plaza with a small grassy area and little water fountains. According to their website, kids are welcome in the restaurant and patio areas until 8 PM (but not in the bar area), which makes this a nice family friendly spot earlier in the day. Later on, the vibe seems like it would be perfect for catching a game, grabbing drinks with friends, and enjoying a more energetic brewery atmosphere. We started with two Moscow mules. Since that's one of our go to drinks and we've had quite a few, these weren't our absolute favorite here. They leaned more on the lime heavy side, and we weren't sure if the ginger beer was just a little flat. That being said, we still finished them! The Birria nachos were the highlight for me! They were so delicious, and the beer cheese sauce was SO good. I honestly just wished there was more of it because it added such a great flavor. My only small complaint is that I wish the toppings were spread out a little more evenly so every bite had a good mix, but overall they were still really tasty. The Mac Attack was also good, but it didn't completely wow us. If you're looking for an ultra thick, super creamy mac and cheese, this probably isn't that style. Still, it was a solid dish and enjoyable! Overall, we had a great first visit and would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Great location right in the heart of the Spring District with a fun atmosphere!

Not too salty or overwhelming. Just, amazing. The burger was also very good. The beef strips tastes just like bacon so it's definitely a great alternative to those who don't eat pork. However the burger was quite heavy and a little too salty. But solid overall. Would definitely come back. Maybe add an egg to the burger too since I love eggs lol.

For those who have difficulty with "messy" burgers - like 5 Guys (which I also love, as a chain) - note that these burgers are going to be on that side of the spectrum. They currently come in boxes instead of paper wraps, so that helps quite a bit.

Other than that; i cant say anything good about it. We got plain cheese burger, the deluxe, special, and fries. Soggy fries; but i actually dont mind it; if you like your fries crispy; forget about it. The burgers? Bland; not even a hint of salt or anything; the sauce/pickles in the deluxe make it more bareable to eat. The staff? Bunch of highschooler looking kids; saw a couple of them that being very hospitable while helping other customer; while the one helping us was more concern about his conversation w/ the other coworkers rather than focusing taking our orders (i guess its given that we had to ask about the burger that got missed in our bag) . But whatever. You get what you paid for; and the price is their driving point for sure. I get it when people said it tastes nostalgic; and nothing is wrong with that. I personally would just spend a few more bucks and get an actual burgers w/ flavors.
