When the young man handed me my bag at the drive in window he basically shoved it in my hand and close the window quickly as if I done something to him. I had to hunk horn to get ketchup and ranch. Ok, it's burger king. So what do you expect, right? The thing I love about this bk is the staff, they are all super friendly and helpful. The management leaves a lot to be desired but the staff are awesome. Just as an example, I have a hearing impairment and often pull up to the take out window to order rather than using the speaker outside. The girl working the register leaned out the window and signed, yes, signed "welcome to burger king, may I take your order?". Paid for my order and as I looked up the manager was standing over the bag ready to package up my food with his mask down, eating something. I tapped on the window and asked the cashier to have him put his mask up. She told him, he then came to the window and told me the person on the speaker couldn't hear him so he pulled his mask down so she could. As he was talking to me he still had his mask down! He was then arguing with me about putting it back on. Even though I had never imbibed a liquorous beverage in the whole of my existence, on that night, I decided to drink an entire case of Old Crow and then stumble over to the Burger King. I ordered the first thing I saw, ate it, and then wrote a 5 star review of it on Yelp. Then I proceeded to throw up all over myself and fall asleep in the bathtub. It's really the only explanation, right? I mean... it's Burger King. BURGER... KING... There are like a million of them. They have a scary, big-headed plastic monarch as their mascot. He knocks people down and gives them cheap hamburgers on TV. 5 Stars? They should have NEGATIVE stars for this place. But what if something... different happened? What if something... UNEXPECTED occurred? What if, and bear with me a moment... WHAT IF... Burger King sold ribs? Yes, ribs. Like the kind that actually come from a pig. Not a formed patty that looks like ribs. I was asking about a pricing discrepancy between the last time I'd been there and this time and this little brat (who I wasn't talking to) pipes up and says "WHAT'S HER PROBLEM?!?!" I had gone in around 8pm and I was the only customer inside. There was one, very angry, cussing employee running the counter and drive through and one lady making all the food. Manager Felicia decided to become a bit snotty and ask if I still wanted my Fish sandwich after explaining the $0.20 extra charge for tomatoes. I has asked for the sandwich to be made differently than usual and she launched into how they had to charge more because of Product Cost etc. In a VERY unprofessional fashion she said that there was nothing she could do about the .20 charge and said "do you still want the sandwich?" I asked her if .20 was really worth losing a customer over and she said it was my decision. Yes it was! They made the sandwich and I left, so now their LOSS cost is a lot more than .20, seeing that they had to throw out the sandwich. This location is owned by Quality Dining in Indiana, and I'm thinking that they didn't have a complete Manager Training program, or perhaps this manager missed that part of the training! Once we arrived at the window, we noticed she was very professional. She took our order and we received everything we ordered including our condiments. I visited yesterday with my father. The food stations and tables were really clean. The bathroom stall was pretty bad but it looked like it was due to just one person being really rude and making a mess. The rest of the restroom looked clean. The trays had a greasy residue, but other than that everything else seemed pretty clean. The food wasn't really great compared to other BK's I've been to but we really don't go that much. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. But what made the visit exceptional is that the manager really seemed to loves his job. He rallied and encouraged the employees, would have team "huddles" more or less when there were no customers in line, and went out into the restaurant to check on customers and outside to take peool e food that they were waiting on. What a nasty Burger King. The floors are dirty and the tables are sticky. The soda machine is a mess and the bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. it was a cold evening while I visited and the temperature in the place was hovering around 55 degrees.
