Stopped by Burger Bun last night after Sunday evening mass because we were on a mission to find some carne asada fries. A quick Yelp search yielded some places nearby and Burger Bun was totally new to us so we decided to try it. It's a small but bright space within a shopping plaza that has Subway and Barrio Fiesta. It's located along Pacific Ave almost to Glenoaks Blvd. We were greeted nicely by the young lady at the counter. We got the carne asada fries supreme which came with the added sour cream, guacamole and grilled jalapeno. We got our order after being freshly made in about 7-10 minutes. We sat at a table near the front of the dining area. I'd say there were about 6-8 tables of 2 in the dining room. Seats were comfortable and the white leather bound tables were a unique design... The carne asada fries were good. It was perfect for sharing and also came with diced tomatoes as well as the requisite shredded cheeses. The carne asada itself was a good amount but came with a little bit of bbq sauce to it. That, I didnt expect but I warmed up to it and it was tasty nonetheless. We asked for the onion/cilantro salsa to be served on the side and it was. Overall, a good dining experience at Burger Bun. We will definitely be back to try their burgers. There are also smoothies, shakes and ice cream on the menu. read more

I love stopping by with my son and his friends after school for lunch and we love picking up food for dinner. Everything tastes amazing and you never feel like the food is heavy. Burger bun is a very small burger joint gem in Glendale with a handful of tables inside with a couple outside in front. I love to check out smaller mom & pop hole in the wall type burger joints because they have distinct flavors and the burgers are usually solid with generous portions for reasonable prices. Burger Bun was no exception. KOBE BURGER was an awesome burger. It was a simple burger with no fancy ingredients, just the standard. I did try to make it fancy with a fried egg, but that didn't work out too well because the egg was overcooked. I like my eggs to ooze out yolk. CARNE ASADA FRIES were pretty good, but it definitely doesn't compare to the ones I've had in San Diego. People who've been to SD knows what I'm talking about. Burger Bun is a pretty cheap and decent burger place! They have a ton of different burger options, burritos/quesadillas, lots of options for sides, and just generally a huge variety in the menu. The customer service was really great. There were two people taking our order and they were very accommodating and understanding of the specifications in our order (and got everything right)! It is located in a plaza, so parking is pretty easy. There is also a 20% off offer when you check in on Yelp! My boyfriend and I ordered the double decker with onion rings inside, the mushroom burger, curly fries, cheese fries, and zucchini fries. We were hoping to love the burgers more than we actually did. They definitely weren't bad burgers, but they also weren't anything special? They were pretty big and filling though! The sides were all very solid. I'd say I actually enjoyed all the sides a lot more. We drove out of the way to try this place -- I'd be willing to come back and try something else on the menu only if I was in the area. However if you're nearby, there is so much variety in the menu and everything is very reasonably priced, so I'd recommend supporting this local shop if you're craving a burger and fries! read more

For our regular wings night we decided to try a different place than our usual spot and we came up with Burger Bun based on their rating and good reviews. We were there solely for wings and fries so we did not try anything else. We usually get hot buffalo wings but based on their recommendation we got half buffalo half plain crunchy ones. We've had wings in so many places in many years and this place serves one of the best we ever had. The wings are good size, medium, so they have enough meat but not too much. They were perfectly cooked and crispy especially the plain ones that although not breaded but had the crispiness of breaded wings. They have a house-hot sauce which was given to us on the side. That sauce was definitely a good balanced one which we loved. The fries were very well done too. The curly fries are easy to mess up if they are not crispy enough but these were so satisfying. The service was fast and on point, our order was ready pretty quickly and they checked on us a couple of times to make sure we have what we needed. This might be our new favorite spot for wings but we are curious to give other menu items a try too! read more

Thanks to Yelp, I came across this place recently, and I tried it for the first time at lunch on 08/15/2019. It is tucked away in the corner of a strip center. The menu is fairly straightforward. I ordered the Number 12, which is the mushroom burger minus tomato and mayo with the regular fries. The fries were good to very good, as they were cooked/fried very well with a touch of seasoning. The burger was of high quality, cooked to perfection, with a generous amount of cheese and mushrooms. Only....they put tomato on it. I double checked, and the receipt said no tomato and no mayo. I am not allergic to these items, they are just things I personally do not enjoy. I'll probably try this place again in the future, but I just wish a little bit more attention to detail was placed into my order. read more

Like many others who have reviewed this place, I saw the great reviews and ratings so we decided to give it a try one night when we were craving burgers. This spot is located in a small parking lot that was fortunately not very busy at the time we went. When we arrived, there were about 3 orders in front of us so we understood how long it was taking to get our food. However, I was a little thrown off to see another person who worked there, serve himself a plate and take a seat while others were working to take care of the orders that were already placed as people who were delivering orders came pouring in. I had ordered the #2 Bun Cheeseburger meal and my bf had ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The menu was interesting as it contained a bit of everything...chicken wings, gyros, burgers, and "cultural favorites" like a hotdog with cheese. I found it all over the place. After waiting about 30 minutes, our order was ready and the employee had finished his dinner and opened the door for us on our way out since we got it to go.
