First time Burger Boy experiencer and I will gladly admit that it exceeded my expectations. Most fast food burgers are available simply to fill your stomach for cheap. But the good ones make you crave it after you've left. Being from the Austin area, sadly, Burger Boy is not available. But luckily, we made time to visit this location after leaving SeaWorld. The service we were provided immediately after entering was top notch. Smiles, welcoming hospitality, cleanliness, and all around great attitudes. Looking at the menu, we were also very happy, since everything is very reasonably priced. However, the most important thing is the food and how good it tastes. And yes, the food was extremely fresh, and delicious. I don't know if we got lucky or if all Burger Boy locations are like this specific one, but Burger Boy is awesome. Quick, easy, delicious! Left our hotel after a nap in search of something fast before a rain storm. We realized our intended destination was a little too far, as the storm worsened. The flashing lights on the sign at the intersection caught our eye, so we pulled. I ordered a "junior boy" ,all the way, with cheese and jalapeños...idk if I was just exhausted/starving but it was delicious. I feel like I ate it in 4 or five bites and i never finish burgers. The jalapeños were a perfect addition! I like when patties are thin and the bread ratio matches. I tried an orange creamsicle shake which was super subtle in flavor. My husband had a banana shake and added caramel- tasted just like banana pudding! My little one tried a fruity pebble shake, he enjoyed the taste but not the crispy crunchy pieces. The employees took my order CFA style outside in the drive thru line with hands free umbrellas. They were so kind and without attitude. I wish I had more pictures. I've had the over the top cheeseburger with all the toppings, but often times you taste everything but the meat. Burger Boy satisfies the craving for a burger where the meat is the star of the show. The hubby ordered an Oreo cookie shake. Shakes only come in one size. They were ready when we got to the pick up window. My shake was a bit thin but could've been due to the 15 min drive back home. And it didn't have pretty layers of pink, white and brown like a photo I saw on their website. They had all kinds run together. My husband enjoyed his shake. But then he's easy. Lol! They specifically recommended for me to order the Triple Meat Burger with everything and a Fruity Pebble's milkshake. I ordered what they recommended in a combo which came with fries and a drink. Nothing noteworthy to mention about the fries or soft drink. The burger was freshly made, delicious, filling and satisfying. Aside from childhood, I do not consider myself a fan of milkshakes. I've always passed multiple Burger Boy locations but finally got to try their burgers and fries here. Dinner-time rush via drive-thru on Friday is no joke, so I placed my order inside the store and ate at one of the tables outside. I got the Junior Boy and regular crinkle fries. The crinkle fries were crispy, hot, and super good. The burger tasted like a healthier version of a McDonald's burger. Visiting from Houston and have been here three times so far! Whataburger is our usually favorite burger but I have to admit that these are better - at the least the fries are!! I was burning my mouth because I didn't want to wait for them to cool down - they were fresh, hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My husband loved the Big Red shake. My Oreo shake was creamy. We indulged in the fries with bacon, jalapeños and cheese for our road trip back home. Must try!! Don't let the long drive thru line deter you - it goes by quick enough - but the food is fresh and hot! The only thing that I didn't care for was the orange freeze - it's basically an orange slushy... I was hoping that it was more like an orange Julius... But that was my only complaint. This little local burger joint makes a great burger. We came by because my husband heard they had Big Red shakes. They do and it did not disappoint, neither did my Root Beer shake. Menu is pretty simple, burgers and fries with a few options for those that want something else, like corn dogs, hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwich, but I ask, why? We're excited that another location is going on closer to home so we'll be eating a Big Boy burger again. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that it is FREEZING inside. This is specifically about the new Potranco/211 location. I love Burger Boy. I eat it often, so I was excited to get one near my home. We ordered our regular working man specials and were disappointed to see that this place must have run out of regular meat and was serving what had to be junior burger meat and tried to pass it off as normal. The family next to us mentioned they also got small meat. Another couple was trying it for the first time and they were not impressed, but we told them this wasn't normal and they should try it another day. Seems shady to try to pass this off as normal. If you run out of meat, tell us. We can order something else. Also, the shakes were so watery, again not normal for Burger Boy, that we had to take them home and put them in the freezer for an hour before trying them again. I'm a big fan of BB. I've introduced it to so many friends and family. I hope they fix this location quickly so we can enjoy it and so first times don't get turned off by it. read more
