I went there with my boyfriend on the 13 of February approximately at 11 pm for a burger. After we order we sat a down and waited at least 30 min for a burger, the grill man just made one instead of two burgers. So we asked him if he didn't get the order right, but the guy flipped out and started to threaten us, he went so far that he start saying to his co workers how he would beat up my boyfriend. So my boyfriend tried to calm him down, saying it was a misunderstanding. But the guy kept going saying to his co worker "please keep me away from him or I will beat his ass" , the co workers never tried to calm him down but they kept laughing. We felt really scared to be treated like that as tourist! The guy was a tall (1.95 cm)black guy with tattoos, I recommend you to look into it because I doubt this is the first time he acted like this. read more

Coming from America, land of burgers and fries, Burger Bar is probably the last place I would have expected to be visiting while in the Netherlands but alas, after reading some reviews, my desire to test "The best burger in the Netherlands" had me sold. Also, I'm sure it can be a saviour to those with picky pallets in a foreign country who long for something usual. Anyway, here's what you can expect - 1. Prices are on the expensive side for a burger. Some argue that it's worth it. 2. Indoor seating is limited. Good luck! 3. Burgers are made right in-front of you. Kinda cool to watch. 4. Opened late for when you need it most. Thank the lord. 5. Think along the lines of Five Guys. Yum. 6. Sides are available at an additional cost. They sold me on the option of an egg & avocado. 7. Kobe beef is a thing of the past. 8. Burger Bar officially supports Wagyu. Definitely choose this! Protip: Order the Wagyu burger (any size) with grilled onions, mushrooms, and a fried egg. Conclusion: It was good but nothing to write home about. read more

Is it a chain? Yes Is it packed with tourists? Yes Is it serving better burgers than the hipster spots like The Butcher? Yes Is it the only place in the world that's gotten my burger cooked to the correct temp (medium rare) every time I've eaten there? Yes Should you get the fried egg on your burger? Fuck yes! read more

I was really keen to test it out given the high rating, but it didn't live up to the hype. I had the black Angus patty and it had gristle and too much salt. The blue cheese was quite mild, although a generous slice. Bun was dry and disappointing. The fries were crunchy but a bit cold and stale. All in all it was an above average burger for a premium price. I wouldn't go there again nor recommend it. read more

I went to the Dam for 5 days - 3 of the nights ended in Burger Bar. This one specifically. Very tasty and fresh food. I had the black angus two of the nights and the wagyu the other. All delicious and cooked perfect. The Samurai sauce was my favorite a nice touch of spice. If I ever get back to the Dam - I will make a special trip to Burger Bar. read more

Burger-Bar ranks up there with Big Mouth Burgers in SFO area, the best I have found across the USA. Burger Bar is all business. Great eats, lots of choices of meats or veggie, lots of opitons for your topppings & type of bread / bun. Huge portions of frys and both counter and table seating. This is a get in, eat and get-out kind of place. All good if you are a burger aficionado. read more

My friends and I came across this tiny and narrow shop. Tried the Wagyu burger with fries. I liked the toasted sesame bun and the beef patty was juicy. The cheddar cheese wasn't fully melted though. I also couldn't taste the difference between the wagyu beef over the much cheaper Irish beef burger. So the Irish beef burger might be the better choice. The fries were all uniform in size and shape, suggesting that they are frozen instead of hand cut. They could've used a bit more salt and were bland without the curry sauce. The food was ok, but not worth the high price. read more

This place was really gross, the food tasted horrible and quite overpriced. The only thing nice was the staff. I am really underwhelmed and disappointed and wish I could have gotten my money back. read more

I was pretty surprised by the amount of people who were recommending this place online. So I decided to go check it out. Amazingly they were right! I got the wagyu based one and was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Juicy and the ingredients matched very well. The fries looks amazing that many folks were coming in just for those. My one fuss would be the restaurant is crowded and cramped, which is fine since it shows it makes it popular however I notice some patrons in there with their McDonalds and other outside food. That's a big no-no at least if you want to encourage folks to eat there. read more

Such good burgers! Haven't been to this place in well over 5 years (I live in another country) but the memory of these amazing burgers is always in my mind. Highly recommend any of their locations to anyone in the area. read more

What a great find! A top 5 (global!) burger place. This is up there with Bare Burger and TwistedRoot. Very fresh ingredients, great beef, unlimited options and fresh fries every few minutes. Sit at the bar and watch the magic and talk with the staff, or chill on the back wall and chat with friends. I got the wagyu 270 on brioche with jalapeños and bacon and old Amsterdam cheese. Top notch. Cooked perfectly. read more

I'm inclined to give this place 3 stars but the fact that they have 3 different choices of beef/2 portion sizes for each and some of the best topping ideas around has won me over. And not to mention, the belgian frites are phenomenal! I don't think I can look at fries the same way again now that I'm back home. I tried both the angus and Irish beef on different visits and both were good. Not the best tasing beef I've ever had but certainly tasty nonetheless. Next time I'm out I'll have to try the Kobe and see if it's worth the high asking price. I made the mistake of getting a simplistic cheeseburger the first time around and as I ate it looking at the burgers/toppings others were ordering I was amazed to say the least. I ended up coming back late night to do it right! Mainly, I saw the fried egg and knew I had to have it, so I did my burger up with one and some sizzling onions, and it was the most heavenly marriage of tastes I could have ever hoped for. I only wish I had stopped by sooner as it was practically a few feet away from my hostel and they're open till 4 am so it's easily one of the best (if not the best) late night spots for a bite to eat around that part of Dam central. read more

Friendly, welcoming, and prompt service. The prices were good even though each and every condiment was a separate charge. I ordered an Angus Beef Burger. It was very tasty and the fries were hot. The only downside was the stale bun it was served with. read more

Delicious food, good atmosphere, nothing special. I enjoy eating there when I'm in the area, but the burger is one that could be purchased anywhere. Quick service, but higher quality than American fast-food. Pricy for a burger place, but overall I'd recommend eating here. read more

Burger Bar - 200 gram Angus burger with mushrooms and onions - Burgers Near Me - Amsterdam, New Hampshire

Everything is perfect ! Beef . vegatavles and mushrooms...... Worthy to Gogogo !

This is bad news if your drunk and hungry...I ended up making the most ridiculous burger because the drunk dat kid inside looked at every topping and went " oOooO" All the streets look the same so might get lost finding it and being drunk and trying to use your phone as a compass is not the best plan either.. You start to look like a resident evil character walking thru the halls of the mansion (like if you got the reference) ;) But whether is during the day of sight seeing or binge drinking def a place worth checking out read more

The wait was worth every bite!!! A fantastic burger, cooked medium well, juicy , tender and although bi ordered the smallest size it was more than enough! I ordered mine with blue cheese, fried onions , lettuce tomato YUM! In addition I had a side order of fries which were fantastic and very fresh! The counter service person was polite and very helpful! The one mistake... I ordered my food to go and I should have asked for silverware an extra napkins as it was hard to handle such a delicious burger as a sandwich. On my next trip to Amsterdam I will make it a point to make sure I visit this place again! Bravo! read more

We went in the middle of the afternoon and according to my son, this place lives up to its billing. As others have mentioned, the space is tight, but that's part of the experience. My son loved his burger. He tends to like things plain and got the Kobe beef with only ketchup. It was perfectly cooked and he found the fries almost as good as the ones he'd had at a specialty stand earlier that day. The neighborhood for this particular locations is definitely "colorful". They have other locations in the city which seemed to have more room, but we were heading towards the train station anyway so decided to give this a try. read more

This spot makes some good big ass fucking burgers. I had the angus burger, being from LA I had to get the big ass 270 grams and see how it was. It's not bad at all. They do charge you for extra topping like ketchup for .60 cent, but it's not a deal breaker. It's under 10 euros, for a gourmet burger still not bad at all. Only missing is beer being served nothing like a beer and burger. 5 stars if they had beer. Otherwise I'm pretty content with this place. It's good cooked fast food that's fosho in Amsterdam. Being from the US, it gives Island Burger a run for their money and even Carl's Jr $6 burger. Price - Decent price for gourmet burger Atmosphere - Casual down to earth welcoming spot Category - Diner/Gourmet Taste - Good meat selection, not just one style Service - Quick and courteous. This was a swear-out-loud great burger! Get on a plane, a train or boat and get your ass to Amsterdam.

What a delicious burger! We got the smallest size, Irish beef, and it was gigantic! Great flavor, juicy, mouth watering. The fries are yummy too! Didn't even finish the burger because it was too big... So I can imagine what the angus burger is like! Try it! read more

Burger Bar - Delicious Irish Beef! - Burgers Near Me - Amsterdam, New Hampshire

Has to be one of the best burgers I have had . The meat was so moist and juicy and perfectly seasoned , The French fries are fresh and crispy . They have a selection of bottled beer ,soda or small bottles of wine There are manny locations around the city so there is no excuse in missing out on a great burger . You won't regret it ! The burger comes out med rare to medium so if u like your burger well done don't forget to ask for it ( personally I don't know why would a person like a burger well done ) The buns are warmed up and fresh . All the burgers are cooked in front so you can tell the staff are very clean. read more

Ordered an angus beef burger with avocado, bacon, mushrooms and cheddar. Great burger, but I dropped my first one on the floor accidentally. They made me a second one and only charged the price of the meat which was nice. The burger was very nice, the meat cooked a perfect medium rare and the toppings complemented nicely with the brioche bun. Will definitely visit again next time I visit Amsterdam. Great service too- staff was accommodating and nice with us. read more

I woke up in the middle of the night from jet lag hunger. Fortunately, I found that this place was open (open til 3 AM in fact). Looking at the menu, I saw that they had Wagyu burgers. The burger was a little expensive (which is to be expected because of the Wagyu beef--other burgers are about half the price here). I would highly recommend getting the Belgian fries with truffle sauce. Their large serving is more than enough for two people. Seating is tight at this location. We ordered our burger done medium, but it came out a lot pinker than I expected (borderline red--might have been because it was the large burger), which is fine for me. Unfortunately, my wife couldn't eat as much of it because she's pregnant. Finally, would recommend coming late in the evening, after dinner rush. read more

Great food. Best burger I had while visiting Amsterdam. Close to the canal. Small outside tables.

Excellent burger! They make it fresh and cook it made to order. Great staff and anyways working hard. Very clean and a great vibe.

Sat at the bar and saw the line cook handle raw meat, take a glove off, try to put it back on, tear a hole in it, put it back on, handle buns and boxes, and to cap if off, LICKED HIS FINGERS when he had some sauce on it! Did I eat it? Yes. Was it good? Yes. Am I totally disgusted? Yes. -- If you have an open kitchen, you better train your staff in basic food handling. I know stuff happens, and I wouldn't write a review just for the first few infractions, but licking a glove and then touching someone else's food... really? read more

A burger joint that doesn't try to be anything else - and why would they? The menu is short which lets them focus on meaty goodness. Great, custom made burgers and awesome fries. It's a small place with limited seating, but it smells like pure joy. The friendly staff doesn't mind answering questions and making suggestions. read more

Fries are a big thing here. We only ordered a medium fry to share + ketchup (yes they charge for it) tota came to right under 5€. Fries were stale and ones on top green. Even if green wouldn't kill us, we didn't feel comfortable eating them and not sure why they would have served it. read more
