We were roaming the streets and saw this restaurant and decided to grab a late lunch/early dinner. I feel like all I ate in Europe were burgers? Why are there so many burgers? Anyways, the hours on yelp need to be updated because we came after 3pm. This is a build your own burger place which is right up my alley since I am a plain Jane. I went with the Irish burger on the sesame bun with only lettuce and ketchup. My husband had the angus burger on Italian bun with everything on it. We shared a side of fries. We both went with the small patties and I'm glad we did because they were pretty big. You can tell everything is cooked made to order and it tasted fresh and great. The fries were crispy and perfect as well. We both ordered a beer and a drink and our total was around 30 EUR. One thing I hate about Europe is when you order a vodka soda they charge you for the vodka and the sparkling water - lesson learned this trip, take shots of vodka. We both left feeling satisfied and enjoyed our meal! Solid choice.

Definitely worth going to. I got the Angus burger on brioche bun with cheddar, sautéed onions and bacon with a side of onion rings. My eyes were too big for my stomach. The burger was cooked to beautiful medium rare. One tip for the Americans out there, you have to pay for ketchup. We are not used to this but it is what it is. One was more than enough. I ended up paying @ 21€ for burger (270g), rings and beer.

Best burger in all of Amsterdam. Have to go here every time I visit. Perfectly cooked, awesome fries to go with, and a really short wait time. Price is pretty reasonable, so don't be afraid to go for the wagyu patty - you won't be disappointed.

For any adult who grew up with burgers and fries, this a great place. The menu is very much burgers and fries.... On plates in a trendy environment What i liked: Trendy Ok fries However, wont return as food seems quite overpriced for what i got. Nor was service very friendly. Therefor one star less.

I think this is actually the third burgerbar location I have been to across my five visits to Amsterdam over the years. I also think this might be my favourite venue. The restaurant was clean, bright and welcoming. The staff were friendly, fast at service and efficient. The burger and fries themselves were tasty and well cooked. The fries were thin and crispy and there was tonnes of mayo on the side. The burger which was a large Angus tasted good and was well seasoned. The bun was crispy and perfect to hold the burger patty. You can choose several sizes and types of meat. You can also pick from several types of sides and sauces. There is something for everyone. Really nothing to complain about at all. Burger place (maybe a chain now) doing above average gourmet burgers and fries at good prices. All good and worth a look.

This place is really a borderline 5 star burgerplace and not only because they have great burgers but due to the quality for your buck. As a well travelled burgerlover im aware of that there are lots of places with better burgers but i can tell you its quite hard finding such a good juicy burger with lettuce, tomato, onions and dressing for a low 3,5 €! Since i felt like a deserved a bit of luxury on my holiday i decided to amp up my burger experience with some caramelized onions, bacon and avocado that added around 2,5 € to the burger but it was well worth it. Second time ive tried the Dutch Burger Bar now and its been great value and more then decent burgers both times. You dont have to get the more expensive Waguy beef pattys since the standard Dutch is very good as well after i have tried them both. Cheers.

Angus beouf (beef) 270 gram burger wth blue cheese soooooo lekker (delicious)!!

Bom as fk burgers fresh ground meat weighed on a scale before hitting the grill. Staff are cool and helped us in English. The burgers and add-ons (mushrooms for me, blue cheese dressing for a homie) were all delish. Place is open pretty late as well I think 11pm. Easy walk in and order and sit. Lots of drink selections plus tap beer. Check out the photos I added. We barely tried anything on the menu. There's so much more that we could've tried but dam them burgers finished us. I got the wagyu beouf (beef) burger 200 grams and my buddy the angus 270 grams with frites (pronounced freet). Plus walking distance from our hotel near Sarphati park in De Pijp area nearby the Heineken experience and museums.

Best burgers in Amsterdam so far. Meat is delicious and the fries are terrific. As far as I know, there are like 4 Burger Bars' in Amsterdam. I was in the one located in de Pijp and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Busy lunch hours seemed to be dropping off around 13:30, about when I was there. It's possible there's an upstairs, but it was roped off on my visit. I decided to go with a unique combination, an unconventional choice, with the "Silence of the Lambs" burger, a patty made out of lamb, topped with goats cheese and sautéed onion. There was just one guy manning the register, and one lady cooking in the back. The first bite was divine, but towards the end I found it to mellow out to a rather neutral impression. I'd like to have tried a beef burger, and was contemplating the Dragon, but when in Ams. Worth a try, if convenient to do so.

I ordered the cheesy freak, my daughter ordered the silly cheesesteak and my other daughter and hubby got the classic plus we ordered a side of roasted potatoes. Our burgers were cooked PERFECTLY to medium rare! The three cheeses were so nicely melted and complemented each other beautifully. The burger was juicy but somehow not greasy! We realized this just be the difference between American beef and grass fed Dutch beef! And the potatoes were to die for! I do not typically like roasted potatoes, but these were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked so they were slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was spot on! When we walked in, there were not enough seats, but the staff took our order, and assured us that there would be seats by the time our food was ready. As soon as other patrons finished their meal, the staff called us in from outside to come and take our seats. Minutes later, our meal was delivered! They were so friendly and accommodating to us and made conversation. The vibe is very inviting and cozy. It is amazing that they were able to rotate all of the patrons in and out in an appropriate amount of time. I loved the music too! I am so glad we came here! It was a perfect end to our visit to Amsterdam!

I believe the level burgerdom at Ter Marsch is good quality - yet mediocre in taste. The bun is stale. At least mine was. I'm not sure if it was intended to be in that condition. The burger is thick and juicy, but lacking in the fresh beefiness that I wanted. What sets it apart is the aioli sauce - really top notch. The lettuce fell out. Shredded lettuce would have been better. The problem was the hockey puck burger sat high in the middle of the bun. When you bite into it, you get a mouthful of bun, and the hockey puck gushes out the side. If you bite into the hockey puck the rest of the ingredients gush out the side and down your hand, and you're left with disintegrated stale bun pieces. Sweet potato fries were ok, and the truffle sauce sent it over the top. But honestly, it's middle of the road in Southern California Burger Land.
