This has to be one of the poorest experiences I've had with a retail brand of any budget, let alone a luxury brand. I've had my wallet around 3 years and about a year ago the bottom stitch started coming undone. That can happen, ok, so I take it into a store and am asked to have it sent off for 4-6 weeks and also pay a $50 charge to have it fixed, fine because I like the wallet and use it daily. I get it back after closer to 8 weeks and then almost losing my wallet and barely a year later the "fix" they made is ripping off and completely undone. I take it into the North Park store thinking surely they can fix it again or offer another option as it clearly has not held up to quality standards. Instead, I'm asked to purchase a completely new one on my own dime. For a luxury store, or any store for that matter, this was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. read more

Oh, fancy London things. That very telling Burberry plaid is not as much a part of my wardrobe as I would like, but I do manage with what I have. Price aside, (and you better use your legs and put some muscle behind it, because their prices are rather heavy) Burberry makes extremely fine quality itemajgs. I have a handful of their polo shirts, and they were well worth their $100 price tag, as they are 3 or 4 years strong, not faded, not stretched, and fit just as nice as the day I got them. Sure, you can buy Burberry in just about every state (and I'm fairly certain it is available on every street corner in the UK) but their customer service is really what sets them apart from the rest. I can't speak for all stores, but my experience at this store in particular shows just how far they are willing to go to make you happy. My girlfriend got me a Burberry wallet for Christmas, and it is, by far, the best wallet I have ever owned. After 6 months of intense walleting, some of the leather on the inside started to come apart at the seam. For a normal wallet, no big deal - but for a wallet that will run you a cool $180 before tax (I really do have a great girlfriend), it is worth getting fixed. It was purchased in NY at Saks, and I have never found myself there at a convenient time. Plus, I had no idea where the receipt was. So I decided to try my luck at Burberry itself while I was in TX for a long weekend. Usually things like this get sent out, but with a little conversation - I got a brand new one off the floor. A couple of clicks and a signature, and I was in their system, so to anyone else, it looked like I purchased the wallet that day. That way, if it ever happens again, I can once again get a new one, no questions asked. Best customer service, period. Pucci is an awesome guy from Nashville that lives in Dallas that looks like he belongs in Manhattan. So go see him and trust me, you'll get what you need - plus a whole lot of other stuff, because this store is huge. Euuuuge. read more

It was my first time shopping in the store. I understand that there alot going on in the mall especially because of the virus And the looting. But I feel the the other designer stores had a game plan and it was very efficient to get in and out. Where as Burberry kinda would shut the doors at random times when they felt it was over capacity. I purchased my first (nice) trench coat from Dane today. I've been wanting to "invest" in some nice, classic pieces and I had been planning this purchase for a long time. Luxury stores can have somewhat of an intimidating front, and going in I must have looked like a deer caught in headlights! Dane approached me and was so very sweet and helpful! He was just incredibly down-to-earth and polite to me. I mentioned some details that I really wanted and he brought out several different trenches for me to try on. He was incredibly patient in going over the different styles, details, and helped me pick the right size for what I was looking for (he explained the trend/style these days is much more fitted, so if you want to wear a coat over a jacket you need a slightly larger size). Dane even apologized for taking up so much of my time, but to be honest I was nervous taking up so much of his! Dane also went over the care and different ways to wear the trench, as well as explain the fabrics and even mentioned the different quality of work between where some of their trenches are made. They didn't have the one I wanted in my size, but we were able to order it online. Dane also helped me pick out a scarf, and showed me all the different styles of scarves they had as well as how to tie them. I placed an online order before going out of town for 10 days and opted to have it delivered to the store. I called while out of town to make sure the item would be held for me and didn't have difficulty getting help over the phone. In fact, I called twice - once before it arrived and again after I received the notice of delivery via email. Both times, the person on the sales associate Natasha was very helpful. When I went to pick it up, another sales associate brought out my item. It was an intentionally wrinkled (crinkly looking) merino/cashmere scarf. She offered to steam it for me. I was going to get the wrinkles out myself but was thrilled she could do it for me. While I waited, she brought me some OJ. Another sales associate checked to make sure I was being helped. They brought me the scarf wrapped in tissue in a gift box and shopping bag. I was there soon after they opened on the Saturday after New Year's, so they weren't too busy. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the service. I don't shop there regularly but have a few Burberry items and have been very pleased with the style and quality. This was not my first time here. This was my first time being humiliated while trying to order a scarf. This African American gentleman (I shouldn't even call him a gentleman) answered every question my fiancé about the scarf with sarcasm and made it a point to humiliate him. All he asked was if the embroidery was extra and he responds with a, "you actually didn't think we were going to do it for free did you?" As if that wasn't enough, he stated that we needed to order it by December 3rd for this was the final day to place an order. I asked, "does this apply for the website as well?" He replied with a, "did you not hear me honey? It's for all orders period." I was completely left with my mouth opened with the way we were treated. I honestly had no reaction. To feel like you're not worthy of shopping there by this employee who clearly does not care for the company he works for. I was appalled and disgusted. It's because of employees like him that customers like myself do online shopping. Why on earth would I want to stand for that? It really is simple, I won't be stepping foot in there again. Kimberly is just amazing. My first visit here was a few months ago when I first moved to Dallas and Kimberly was the friendliest person I've met since my move. She was a great help with my shopping and willing to go out of her way to help me find what I wanted. She was just very kind and accommodating and wasn't the slightest bit "sales-y" or pushy. She was just genuine. I went back again yesterday with my indecisive sister who wanted to see a handful of purses, leave, come back and see them again, leave, and do it all over again. Kimberly not only remembered me from my first visit and welcomed us immediately, but was again, very kind and accommodating despite my sister being a bit high maintenance. I amm really not what I would consider a designer snob but I do like nice things and great service and occasionally either for myself or for a loved one on my Christmas list, I find myself inside of Burberry. I love this particular Burberry store amongst others I have been to and that is mostly because of a particular consultant here that I consider amazing. I have been shopping with Dane for the duration of his time at this store, which is right at 14 years now. If you are looking for anything Burberry, I highly recommend this store and when you arrive ask for Dane. His product knowledge is amazing and his sales style is consultive and not high pressue. He would rather help you find EXACTLY what you are looking for than just get a sale under his belt. read more

Don't know if the staff was having a bad day, but my recent trip to the Burberry store at Northpark was less than lackluster. I went in to purchase a traditional cashmere check scarf and received the rudest looks from the staff. If i wasn't so determined to buy the scarf I would have walked off empty-handed. After a couple of business trips (on which I did not take the trench) I went back to this store to try again. Luckily, this time, Brett was there - he was the one that actually pinned the sleeves for alterations months ago. He saw with a single glance exactly what was wrong with the sleeve and said he'd take care of it - no questions asked. He and another associate (didn't catch her name - she has very short blonde hair) provided the level of service and courtesy that met my expectations for the Burberry brand. Brett called me promptly when the coat was ready later in the week. When I went to the store to pick it up, Mary Lou was there as well. Again, she and Brett were understanding, accommodating, and professional. Thank goodness - no problems with the coat this time. When I do not like the customer service it does not matter how much I want the product or if it's the last one in the world, I turn around and leave. Sometimes it's just the look or the way the customer service rep looks at me. If I do not feel the right vibe, I'll leave. I'm not giving my hard earned money to someone that treats me like crap. Upon entering most clothing stores, you get the feeling that the staffers are only out for commissions or maybe just a quiet afternoon. That is not the case with Burberry - North Park Center. I always feel valued, feel that my needs are being met, and feel that the employees are genuinely interested. The store is very accommodating when out of stock or concerning differing sizes. Just ask for Dane. He's seriously THE most patient, unpretentious, non-pushy, knowledgeable, and genuinely nice salesperson who's ever helped me. I went in looking for a trench coat which isn't that descriptive given they carry so many styles. We were there for about 10 minutes and couldn't really get anyone's attention, then out walks Dane. He was so patient, telling me about how all the styles differ (buttons, cut, length, fit, etc.). It's not that he just talked about them - he actually went and pulled all the styles, laid them out, and physically pointed out the differences, then let me try on all the ones that I liked. Found the perfect one, but they didn't have my size in store, so he ordered it for me online. Received it in the mail within a week, went back to the store cuz the sleeves were too long (free alterations if bought from store/online), and instead of just marking the sleeves and saying "peace out", he showed me all the different ways to wear the trench, belt it, button it, etc. Who knew?!
