The suit did not fit at all and I had to get the suit tailored by someone else to get it to fit properly because their staff and tailor refused to help. If you value time and quality work, look elsewhere. Lombardo custom apparel lacks integrity. They are a well-advertised made-to-measure clothing store NOT a true custom clothier. They sub ALL their work to cheap overseas factories/labor. I purchased 2 pants with an ETA of 4 weeks; 5 months and 10 trips to their store later and the pants still did not fit properly (not even close). Add to that numerous missed deadlines without follow-up, unreturned phone calls, bad customer service and blatant dishonesty. I even asked their employee Dominic to have the owner Jay call me on four different occasions and never once received a phone call. Their excuse: "Your fit is very special". Yes, that's what CUSTOM is. Cutting corners with cheap overseas labor is not custom. 2 weeks ago, I gave up and asked them to refund my $1000 and that's when they put on their public relations mask and became blatantly dishonest by fabricating a fake "zipper" story to dodge responsibly. Not only are they horrible at making clothing, they are also liars. They run their business like a used car lot. Don't make the same mistake I did, STAY AWAY. read more

I have been buying suits and clothing from Jay for years. The styles and quality are exceptional. I celebrated Easter with my extended family and I was delighted to see that 75% of the colorful custom shirts and jackets were all made by Lombardo Custom Apparel. I have never had any issue with adjustments, tailoring, or attention to detail. Jay has personally gone to whatever extent needed including overnighting pressed suits to me when I messed my original suit up. Love this place and these guys! read more

Lombardo's is a upscale, reasonably priced, custom apparel retailer that anyone and everyone would feel welcomed walking into. Cindy is the best and will take her time to make sure and help you to find something that makes you look your best. Every time I wear something from Lombardo's I get a compliment. I went to Lombardo's to get a get custom suit made. Dominic did a great job helping me choose the right suite and color. Very attentive to what I wanted. After looking around, I had the pleasure of meeting Jay Lombardo and the customer service I received was high class, what you would expect from a place like Lombardos. Very gracious, discussed the different material, color, alterations, etc. and just treated me like I had been going there for years. I felt like part of the family immediately. My suite finally came in and I am extremely happy with the results. The suit fits perfect (too perfect, lol...I need to lose a few lbs. :-\) and I love the shirts. I enjoyed picking out all the patterns and threads and buttons and all of it, and the staff was very helpful at getting designs that I wanted, not just something they wanted to push. It took them 18 months to get my simple order (one shirt) done. That says it all. Seven or eight appointments to do alterations and new measurements. It takes them 6-7 weeks to get it altered/done or reordered. Either they fetch orders to China and wait to get the shipment or I was not an important client. That's what you can be. So why pay $120- $300 for a shirt made in China? You can go to Niemans (Sacks, Dillards etc) and get it altered for free if needed. Cindy (sales lady) is insanely pushy. For some reason she takes measurements, even though she is not a tailor. Francisco (tailor I believe) was kind and truthful letting me know that the shirt didn't fit and was bulky on the back. Oscar (front desk gentleman I believe) was very very kind helping me to resolve the problem and escalate it to the owner. Mr.Lombardo (owner) didn't really care but worked to resolve the issue. Never again. I suggest customers take their business some place else. Many of my friends had the same experience there. Custom order just doesn't fit, when that's the whole point of 'custom made' item. read more

My customer service rep, Cindy, was very vocal, used very offensive and derogatory words when i took my dad and father in law to buy a suit. i was using a Groupon, which was still a considerable amount of spend, she kept pushing us to spend more money. She promised that the suits will be ready on time but next day called to say it will be delayed and if we want rush we need to pay additional $140 per suit. I wish there was a negative rating instead of one star i could give them. Very disappointing and sad read more

Lombardo ran an Amazon ad in late November 2014 for $599, an $1199 value, for a Custom Two Piece suite. Made your measurements and YOU select your choice of Super 150's fabric. This 'Custom Made' Two Piece Suit is a total joke ... NO, it is Deceptive Trade Practice complete with pure bait and switch. I made the error in actually purchasing this "deal". When I placed my initial call (followed by a second call, to a totally different rep and go the same story) ---- " This is not for a made to measure suit. We (Lombardo) have some suits that we have made up for 'off the rack' selling for this coupon, but based on your size it is highly unlikely that we could fit you from this limited selection. What we are doing is to trying to bring new clients into Lombardo's to experience complete custom clothing. We will use your coupon and give you a credit of $1199.00 on a complete 'made to measure' suit. We have prices from $1695 up". Readers - do you get the image now ... pure deceit and flagrant bait and switch. I actually went to this store yesterday and what a waste of 2 hours. I was professional and polite so I did not want to just bolt on the sales rep, which is what my gut and brain said to do in the first 15 minutes. I hoped it would get better --- it only got WORSE. There apparently is NO custom, made to measure, suits for even $1695. The sales rep said the suits start at $2295 and go up. Be assured this crap of $2295 is nothing more than fabric from other retail stores for $700 off the rack. Shirts - oh, let's not forget that - it is both insisted on and expected. The minimum shirt offering is $297. !!! Now keep in mind this same $297, fabric and build would cost you between $100 to $150 at other local tailors, at best ...for the same material or better. I can write a book on this nonsense. But IF you are one of the other folks that bought your coupon I am sorry to tell you that you also threw away good money after bad. Legal action is pending for Deceptive Trade Practice as well as Word of Mouth Marketing. If I could post negative rating stars I would. Just purely disgusting. read more

My husband & I came upon Lombardo's 9-10 months ago via a GroupOn offer. One of their wardrobe consultants, Cindy Kahn, answered our initial call & we couldn't be more pleased. Cindy has been in the apparel business for decades. She's very helpful, knowledgeable & her exhuberant personality makes her fun to work with. If you're of average build, you may find that Lombardo's can custom tailor an in-stock suit to fit your needs. Keep in mind, however, not all men have an off-the-rack build & for those wanting a truly quality suit, custom is the way to go. Cindy is very good at explaining all of your options & will not push you into anything you're not comfortable with wearing or spending. She lets you know everything upfront & will work with you to accomplish the best look & value for you. Whether you want to go a bit brash stylistically or stay conservative, Lombardo's staff will help you get there. I, personally, have designed items for my husband with Cindy's help, that have pushed him a bit beyond the boundaries of his typical comfort zone. Not nice? Au contrare! The fashion forward items have gotten him more compliments than any other pieces. Another salesperson, Cort (another gem!) likens Cindy & I to the mad scientists of fashion; when we get together, he loves to see what we've concocted. If you want a unique wardrobe, be it conservative, Euro-flair or crazy, Lombardo's fits the bill. You can't beat the selection at Lombardo's.
