Fast forward a few days later and I arrive for my appointment and was greeted by reception and Amanda was fabulous and made my first appointment easy. The MAs were great too. Then, I met the NP and it all went downhill from there. The NP has terrible bedside manner. I was met with a judging demeanor and was pushed to get on birth control and not even warned with any of the side effects and she didn't really care that I wasn't interested in it. Later she called me to give me my results and her tone was almost sarcastic , it really upset me. I think NP Brianna can use some lessons on how to treat patients with respect.

Well, Dr. Hernandez…read morejust about threw a fit when she told me I had cancer. Then, she referred me to Dr. Reilly. Dr. Reilly did not take all the cancer out....but he gave me and my husband a disheartening lecture about it was all how we viewed it: "Glass half empty or glass half full." "Chemo will mop up the rest." So we went to Dr. Annekathryn Goodman at Mass. General. She took the rest of the ovarian cancer out. She is a meticulous surgeon and wonderful doctor. Think about it, I could have gone to Dr. Goodman and have done with it with one, that's ONE, abdominal surgery and chemo.

Not only is she professional and dedicated but I have been made to feel as though I am in excellent hands not matter what the situation has been from annual exams to in-house surgeries to delivering my first child. I cannot go on enough about the entire team at New England OBGyn and Dr. Monsein herself. Even though Dr. Monsein did not end up even delivering my child which initially made me nervous as I was so comfortable with her the two doctors from the practice who were on duty were outrageously phenomenal! Do I have to wait a while for my appointments, yes both in and out of the exam room. Does it bother me, no as there have been times when they have spent longer then originally anticipated with me at some appointments. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else!

I typically go to the Newton Corner lab (open until 4:15) but unfortunately, I went there and the lab lady took off early. I didn't have to wait long at all!! Love the extended hours! Located on the first floor with limited parking! Best bet is to use the valet.

After doing a bit of research, I concluded going to Dr. Reilly would resemble the quality and care I received in Florida. I was completely wrong. He didn't listen to a word I was telling him. Instead, he dismissed my previous diagnosis and my surgery four years ago, calling my cramps stress related and it was a mere coincidence the successful laparoscopic surgery made me feel better. Luckily for me, in between his insults (hinting that I was a hypochondria), he called me a "pretty girl" or a "little girl." I've never met a doctor who made me feel so insignificant by dismissing my pain and discomfort. It was obvious to me he didn't view my history and current problems with any importance.

The OB office has scheduled me numerous appointments, given me a printout of the appointment, then I show up for the appointment and somehow I have the wrong day and time yet I have the printout saying I'm at my correct appointment. When I set up a babysitter and drive my very pregnant self over here, that's pretty frustrating to be told to come back tomorrow.. And it doesn't help the receptionist has a complete blank face when she says it. No apology or anything. The doctors are always behind which I get but they literally spend three seconds in the room so how do they run behind?!

She's totally cool, very understanding, and will always take the time to explain stuff to you if need/ask. The staff at the office is really nice, too. The only reason she's not getting 5 stars is because there is ALWAYS a wait at the office, unless you have the first appointment of the day. So that's frustrating, but understandable, as I don't know of a doctor's office that actually sees their patients at their scheduled appointment time. Regardless, I'm a fan of my gyno. Her office is in the doctor's building at St. Elizabeth's, which is really at 11 Nevins St. So I'm spreading the word about my gyno. But she's worth it. I called to schedule a first pregnancy appointment with Dr. Okamura…read more The office staff informed me that she likes to review new patient requests herself, and decide based on her schedule and patient information whether to take on the patient. They sent her an email with my information, and told me to expect a response the next day. I never received a response. I called every day for a week asking for an update, and every day the answer was that she hasn't gotten around to her email yet. Eventually, I called another practice that scheduled me *on the spot* for an 8 week ultrasound the following week, and an 11 week in office visit with an award winning highly regarded doctor.

I came here following Yelp advice. I got to say I was…read moredisappointed. Here is why: 1. The doctor spent a total of 5 minutes in the room with me. I felt like she was in a rush to go somewhere else. I felt like she was judgmental when I answered some of her questions and she scolded me. I do not go to the OBGYN to be patronized. I also felt like she refused to answer some of my questions. 2. My pap test was sent to a lab that was not in network with my insurance company resulting in me having to pay for a test that should be covered 100% . I am still fighting this with my insurance company and hope for a good outcome. However, I had NEVER had another doctor send my tests to a lab that is not covered by my insurance and I have had the same insurance for years. If the doctor is taking my insurance, shouldn't she make sure to send the tests to a similar facility? I was never asked if I had any preference on the lab handling my tests. 3. My prescription was incorrectly sent to my pharmacy. This would not be a big deal but my pharmacy is kind of retarded (Express Scripts) and sent the incorrect prescription to me immediately without me having the chance to verify it. The incorrect dosage caused me to end up paying 3 times as much for my medication. In order to correct it, I had to call the doctor's office 2 times to ask them to re submit the prescription. The first lady that I talked to was really mean and refused to send the prescription to me directly, it was not until I called again one week later and talked to someone else that my problem was resolved. Still, I did not need to wait two weeks and spend time making calls back and forth between pharmacy and doctor's office. 4. No parking Validation, I would assume that the office would have some kind of deal with the building but no, 6 dollar parking every time I don't think I am going back to this practice next year. I have had much better experiences elsewhere and I am tempted to make the trip back to Virginia to see my old doctor next year.

Every single time I've needed them I have received prompt return phone calls... sure they've taken time to get back to me on less important questions before but I have full faith it was because they were helping a patient with a more urgent need.
