Dr. Matta couldn't have been better. I had to schedule an unexpected procedure, which I was very nervous about, and I was anxious to follow up and have the appointment. I went onto Yelp because I needed to feel comfortable going in, as I have very little trust and confidence in medical professionals, and was glad to find such glowing reviews. My only delay in making the appt was that my PCP had to fax over my initial results in order to make the appointment. Once that happened, I was able to be seen by Dr. Matta within maybe three days. Anita was friendly and informative over the phone, and put my mind at easy that Dr. Matta does not incorporate an optional/unnecessary aspect of the procedure that I was particularly uncomfortable with. Dr. Matta spent a lot of time walking through every aspect of what would be happening, and why this procedure was important. Between Anita and Dr. Matta, I didn't have any surprises - which can be an extremely stressful and disturbing aspect of medical experiences for me. She was also very nonjudgmental and practically supportive regarding birth control methods. I experienced Dr. Matta as professional, caring, lighthearted, serious, personally connecting, and attentive. My only complaint is that she encouraged me to eat ice cream to feel better (lol, I am very disturbed when doctors encourage sugar as self-soothing given how it inhibits healing processes) - of course I did do just that because Doctor's Orders still carry weight even when I intellectually disagree... Haven't seen any recent reviews for Dr. Matta, but it's nice to see that she's as great now as she was years ago. Dr. Matta is honestly the best OBGYN I've ever been to; she was my doctor for women's health checks and for my first pregnancy. She listens to my concerns and give me great advice. Honestly, I feel so at home in her office, it's crazy. Anita, her receptionist, seems to memorize and remember all of the patients that come through the office. Whether it's for regular check-ups or bigger appointments, I'm so glad to have Dr. Matta and her team on my side. read more

Not surprised to see that she lost her license due to malpractice because of gross negligence. There were several times when she prescribed a new type of BC to me without mentioning that there was a significant decrease in its effectiveness (ex. I had to do my own research outside of the appointment to learn that the efficacy had moved down from 99.7% to about 93%). She also told me that she would give me pain medication and local anesthetic before my IUD insertion; she did neither, and got upset at me for "not following prep directions" that she had never sent, and then did not apologize upon finding out that she had not sent in any prep directions, nor the medications she blamed me for not taking. She also scheduled a remote follow-up appointment at one point, didn't send any follow-up reminders, and then forgot about the appointment the day of and emailed me a few hours later telling me that I could just call them if I had any questions/concerns. Very friendly person, and she definitely put me at ease at first, but as a doctor she was terrible; at a certain point, I stopped trusting her completely. The only reason I'm leaving this review at all is because I apparently saw her and had another appointment with her AFTER she lost her practicing license, which she neglected to mention, and instead chose to claim that she simply was no longer taking any insurance--probably so that things could be off the books. Yes, she is a very friendly person, but if you're looking for a competent doctor, I'd go somewhere else. read more

It's kind of weird to review a doctor but I really felt the need to after a few visits! Dr. Matta is a wonderful doctor! She took the time to listen to my needs, answer all of my questions (and there were many) and really made me feel comfortable. The front staff is always very nice and welcoming. I had to come in during covid for the first time and was very nervous. The office is clean and you can see all of the precautions they are taking is reflected in the facilities. read more

Thank you, Yelp and Health Grades. Dr. Matta is amazing! She is so personable and is extremely easy to talk to. In addition to being an extremely capable doctor, you feel an instant connection with her and don't feel even a least bit uncomfortable. Considering she's about to be all up in your lady parts, that's pretty important (at least to me). I was able to call her office and make an appointment for that Friday at her St. Elizabeth location (which is amazing because it was Tuesday!). I decided that I wanted to do a follow up procedure with her and was able to schedule it for the following Wednesday. Despite the fact that she's nearly ready to give birth, she still puts her clients first. I will definitely be back to see Dr. Matta in the future. I highly recommend her to any woman whether you already have a physician or not! =) read more

Finally, a great doctor! I have had such a difficult time finding a good doctor in Massachusetts. For me, good doctor = personable, caring, professional, knowledgable, instilling confidence, willingness to thoroughly discuss options and stays up to date on the latest, not critical or judgmental, and someone who actively listens to my questions and concerns. After Dr. Chokalingham passed I was uncertain of who my gynecologist would be. I received a letter informing me that Dr. Matta would be taking over her practice. Like any woman I am protective of my jewels. After my visit today I can say Dr. Matta is fabulous. She is very warm and made me feel comfortable and ensured me she would provide me with the same care Dr. Chokalingham did. She was on time and had me out of her office in 20 minutes for my yearly. She did not rush me either, but asked my for my history and any questions I might have. And yes, she has great bedside manners. read more

I love Dr.Matta!! A coworker referred me to Dr. Matta and I am so happy that she did. Her staff is SO friendly and booking appointments is very simple. Dr. Matta walks you through the whole process of your appointment and has amazing bed side manner. She is always more than happy to answer any questions. A bonus is that Dr.Matta will respond to you via her online portal, StewartConnect. I asked for a renewal of a prescription and she promptly messaged me back - sending the script to my pharmacy. How awesome is it that you don't need to make an appointment or deal wit phone tag for minor things! I hope I never move far because I will never find a better OBGYN than her! read more
