Super smart, skilled, thorough and, above all, a kind & caring human being. What more could you ask for in a doctor?

Don't go here, I wouldn't wish my experience with their billing dept on anyone. I had an…read moreappointment and over the next 5 months was billed and re-billed $2600 3 separate times for the same procedure. They failed to send my referral to my insurance twice. They tried to get me to sign something to say any cost my insurance refused to cover I would cover, this was hidden in a sign-in form... thank god I didn't sign that because my insurance explained that for 2 visits they coded 3 things incorrectly resulting in an extra $225 on my bill, which I would've been obligated to pay had I signed that form. Their billing dept refused to help me the 3rd time they billed me $2600 because they blamed my insurance company for the bill, claiming they were refusing to pay it when in fact they had already paid it... 4 months ago. Icing on the cake, after getting all of that sorted, they are doing it again with the bill for my follow-up appointment from that one. Absolutely unreal experience. It's really not worth the risk to go here. If your insurance company isn't willing to fight them for you, you can be stuck with insane bills that will never change because of a completely incompetent billing dept.

I went to the Women's Health Center at Cambridge Hospital after finding out I was pregnant. Their…read moremidwifery service is excellent and through my 9 months I had the pleasure of meeting many of their midwives, nurses, staff, and even doulas. I was surprised that there weren't more reviews singing praise of this hospital and center. For a person looking for a less medicated birth, there is the option of the birth center but as I was two weeks late, I ended up giving birth in the hospital itself (and with the use of the usual drugs). I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the midwives (Mary Lou Carr, Lara Holbrook, Maureen McSwiggin (who delivered our baby boy)). I was very happy with my delivery, recovery, and follow up.

Had an absolutely horrible birthing experience here in 2013. Something I can never live with…read morepeacefully. They are not an all natural birthing center, they heavily push vaccines while pregnant and groom you to come to terms that you will most likely end up in the hospital giving birth. I ended up in the hospital after a small leak (not a water break, the leak stopped immediately). Was given cytotek and then was given pitocen when labor did not start within 48 hours of my leak. After two days of induced labor a nurse exclaimed that my water had not even broken yet. It was absolutely a terrible experience and the bedside manner of the staff was even more terrible. After my eventual birth (leak on Thursday, birth on Monday- 5 days, ended in cesarean) my midwife (Kat) told me, and I quote, "most of the midwives that work here end up giving birth in the hospital." I also want to add that I was on fluids for 4 days while being induced. My son was obviously born with extra fluid on him, and subsequently lost it the day after he was born. Because of the weight difference, I was forced by the staff to give him formula while I was waiting for my milk to come in (it came in in the normal two days). Do NOT go here. There are better options out there. I had a vback at MgH of all places and the natural experience there was a completely different, amazing experience.

I adore this Birth Center. The care here is amazing and what a beautiful environment to experience…read morea birth. (water births are an option!!) The staff is top notch and compassionate - words just can not speak enough about this hidden gem for families that want to experience a natural birthing experience!~ If you are interested in having the potential to have a natural birth with some say in what you want then this is the place for your experience!~ Great Midwives and nursing staff, and the center is right across the culdesac from the hospital where there is a great OB/ CNM team as well. Worth your time to check it out if out of hospital birthing is something you would like to experience!~

The mid wife seems to be so careless and inexperienced and she already told my wife she will be on vacation when she has a baby. I found it very unprofessional since my wife would like to have only one person to do the follow up and see her throughout her pregnancy. She's begged to have a second ultrasound because at 7 months she does not feel the baby and they said they wouldn't do it a second time, so ridiculous. Today she went to withdraw blood and the guy who did it poked her twice at the wrong place. We're changing hospitals immediately. Never again!

I'm sick and tired of the way I've been treated at the Women's Health Center. I've seen a variety…read moreof doctors and midwives over the past couple of years--regardless of the type of appointment, whether for a procedure or check-up, they always seem rushed, late, and unable to show any concern for your condition or questions. The nurses and staff at the front desk perform their tasks in a cold and non-personal way, leaving me with a bad feeling as if me being there isn't important. I realize this isn't always their fault but I'd like to think they can do better. I used to go to the Women's Health Center because it was the closest facility to me, but I'm going to seek an OB/GYN elsewhere. I'm disappointed that I've had to pay for services here.

Also known as Mt Auburn Center for Women, Women's Services is a comprehensive care center for all…read morewomen's health issues. The center is staffed with midwives, obstetricians, gynecologists, and supporting nursing staff. They provide regular care and pregnancy/post-partum care for the mothers. I've interacted with midwives mostly, who have been wonderfully supportive and caring throughout my pregnancy. I've only seen one doctor, Dr. Dawn Anderson, who was very professional. The nurses are kind and warm. There are three things that I look for when it comes to my health: 1. to be listened to attentively 2. to be taken seriously 3. to be explained (in somewhat painful detail) what is the problem, what is the treatment, what are the alternatives, what is the research that supports the suggested approach, who should treat me and what are their qualifications, etc... And the staff at Mt Auburn Center for Women was able to deliver on all three points, even kindly sharing with me research articles and connecting me with various experts.
