During doctor visits and physicals Dr Fallon spends a lot of time talking to you and listening....yes, listening to his patients! haha...no matter how packed his office is everyone gets his 100% attention even when the waiting room is jammed during cold/flu season! She relies on outdated science, telling me to not eat eggs because of the cholesterol, even though that has been debunked for several years now. After body shaming me, she THEN asked if I had a history of eating disorders. If you're completely healthy she's probably fine, but overall it was the worst experience I've had at Harvard Vanguard. She is an older doctor, which unfortunately should have been the first sign despite the ethical obligation to remain updated on new science.

The other day, I had a question about over the counter medication, so I send an email to her and she called me back within 15 min or so after I send an email. It was actually Dr. Wagner who called me back instead of N.P. I thought that was very nice of her and I was glad with her quick response. I also just had my annual check up and she spend good 45min with me and all the exam was done very professionally. She asked many questions about my health. I have had 3 different, sub-par NPs for my last 3 physicals, and am off to see yet another new NP tomorrow. I have to book a year (or more) in advance to NOT get my own doctor. Forget about seeing my primary doctor or NP when I'm actually ill ...then I'm sent to urgent care. There is NO CONTINUITY OF CARE. Disgusting. I found Dr. Haft on a list of LGBT positive providers, and she has been my doctor now for a little over 2 years. Every experience with her and her office has been very good. The office gets back to me quickly when I need to schedule an appointment, the staff is all friendly and professional, general good vibes. A few specific call-outs for others considering the office: - As I mentioned, I am fat. This does not prevent me from getting good care here, and it honestly has at other practices in the past. My weight is clinically discussed when relevant, but I always feel like I'm being viewed as a whole person with many health attributes including my weight. - Preferred names and pronouns were discussed and are confirmed each visit. Language around personal relationships is also neutral and includes various relationship style options and pronouns. This is great. - I've typically had bad experiences with getting blood taken, and have pretty deep veins on my arms. They have been successful here every time, which is unusual for me. - Sometimes the schedule is running behind, but I genuinely don't care. I alot a little extra time for my appointment on my calendar, but what I appreciate is that even if the schedule is running behind, you get full attention and time when you are being seen.
