I definitely give this salon 5 stars overall!…read more I've had different services by different nail techs/ hair stylist and want to especially give Cheyenne 5 stars as she is extremely talented with hair and nails. I love that Cheyenne is so versatile and can accommodate curly and straight hair as she does all of our families hair cut/color needs. The staff is always in good spirits and seem to get along great! Very upbeat and good vibes. But, I will say to steer clear of a nail tech named Samantha. She used to do me and my girls nails and over time the craftsmanship became worse and worse, which is odd because most people get better as time goes on. I asked her to do a manicure and gel nail polish ONLY on my girls nails then found out she was putting gel overlay, so in essence she did something that I strictly forbid on my kids nails. My nails would peel off even before I left the salon, they were lumpy and bumpy and for the money was paying she/ her work is not worth it. She took 2 - 2 1/2 hours just to do a simple fill as well as 2 hours each doing kids nails. She would not accommodate any appointments earlier than 12noon which sometimes made it difficult to get in with her. She spoke poorly of other customers while doing my nails and told me about other customers business.... Highly inappropriate. She would literally get up in the middle of doing my girls nails to heat up food and then eat as she was in the middle of doing their nails..... again highly inappropriate. So ultimately I had to switch to someone else as I had no longer the time to have her spend 2+ hours then have to come back within days to spend more of my time getting them fixed. I want Samantha to know that when you speak poorly of people in a salon they will always find out, so it's best to stay professional and act like you have some business sense. I will continue going to this salon thanks to the efforts and professionalism of all the other staff that stood up where Samantha fell short.

I've been there twice. The first time, I got a manicure and had a great experience. When I next…read morewent there (several months later), I decided to go for a mani pedi. The tech spent most of the time complaining to me that I should go more often, and she nicked my skin (deeply) on one toe, and even though she cleaned it and put antiseptic on it (and I did again when I got home), it got infected and took several weeks to heal. Additionally, they were doing construction while I was there, and the loud banging made it difficult to relax. I only get my nails done a couple of times a year. If I went often, I might be willing to give them another try. But since this is a rare "treat" for me, and the last visit was no treat, I won't be going back.

Disclaimer: Gel Nail Virgin Here…read more Grateful to my sister who introduced me to this location. It was wonderful walking into this shop. It felt like spa day. Everything looked clean and nice. I was lucky & fortunate to get an opportunity to have Selina work on my nails. To be honest, I heard she is hard to book. My sister and I were lucky to be placed side by side while we had our nails done. The staff were truly a blessing. They were welcoming & relaxed. They offered us complimentary mimosas, tea, or coffee. What I appreciated the most is Selina's patience, as a newbie I had so many questions. I will most definitely return here in the near future.

Veronica was very nice and professional. I saw an ad on social media for UV light eyelash…read moreextensions. It said you can go 3-4 weeks for fills instead of a normal 2 week fill. This process which you pay extra for is suppose to last twice as long. I went back the second time to give it a chance. I am very disappointed. My lashes looked bare after 4 days. She said I would not have gaps when I lost an eyelash and that was not the case. My lashes did not hold up. I take really good care of them. It's as thought the UV light does not hold as well, at least for me. It was more expensive and there is no way I can wait for 3 weeks for a fill. I spent a lot of money and I am not satisfied. Not worth the money!!!

I had a great experience at this salon. I really appreciated Frankie going out of her way to accommodate us like that, as I was traveling from out of town, and I definitely hadn't expected it, but it worked out REALLY well for us given that our car broke down later ... but I digress! From the moment I walked in, Frankie and the rest of the Smokin' Hot team made me feel welcome and at ease, starting with a complimentary glass of wine (JUST ONE - this is a salon, not a bar after all, what do youse take me for?? Again, I digress.) Frankie listened to my admittedly very abstract description of what I wanted, and combined with the reference photo I provided, crafted a truly exquisite cut! I left feeling very handsome indeed. I will come here anytime I am in Vegas and need to feel my best. My only critique is that *sigh* as an indigenous person, I found the crescent moon dreamcatcher wall art thingy kinda of weird (how exactly does that work even?!?) It was nothing so egregious that I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone and everyone but... maybe ditch it. Listen to episode three of my show, the ANGR podcast with Sofia Syntaxx (available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts), to find out more ... but that's like, uh, just my opinion... and also my final digression!

If you're looking for a new go-to blowout and beauty spot that'll make you feel luxe and pampered,…read moreTap Beauty Lounge might be exactly what you've been looking for! I'd seen their ads online and on ClassPass and finally felt the nudge to book. Their menu covers blowouts, facials, HydraFacials, brows, lashes, and waxing -- all at pretty competitive prices. They also offer monthly memberships, each including a free birthday blowout, and one tier even has a bring-a-friend-for-50%-off perk. They've been open a few months and currently take appointments Monday through Saturday. Walking in, you're greeted by a warm, luxurious space with gorgeous decor, intentional lighting, generous spacing at each blowout station, and lovely gold and pink accents throughout. At the front, Heather, who was so sweet, confirmed my appointment and Lexus took me back right away. You're given the cutest robe to wear, plus complimentary collagen water from Vida Glow -- I had the pineapple flavor and it was tasty (I've heard the blueberry flavor is amazing too). My stylist asked about my style preferences, whether I wanted her to use the curling iron, and any other notes before getting started. I booked a wash and blowout with a Kérastase shine treatment for longer hair. During the wash, Lexus gave what might have been the most relaxing scalp and neck massage of my life -- perfect pressure, absolute heaven. The blowout itself felt amazing and looked even better. With about 10 years in the industry, she works so seamlessly and applies just the right tension to create a curl that genuinely holds, even on my long hair. P.s.: two days later with no hairspray and my blowout still looks amazing! I loved every minute, appreciate all the little touches that make a client feel taken care of and will be recommending it to all my friends for a new blowout or mini self-care spot on the south side of town. Can't wait to visit again, thank you!!
