After my haircut - amazing length & body/shape. Also, lots of layered texture. Darcie did AMAZING!
Taylor T.

Darcie did the best job EVER! She cut 9 inches off my hair and showed me the best ways to style my new hairstyle. She was super personable and gave me really great advice on shorter length hair. The salon was clean, played great music & was also spacious. Prices were also reasonable for a cut, wash and style. Great place to go, if you are looking for a regular haircut/hairstylist here in the valley.

Gel nails!
Nicole W.

I got my nails done by an awesome nail tech named Kamille! Such a great time and listened to me for the exact nails I wanted! Loved that she made me feel comfortable enough to be a part of the artistic conversation! Great atmosphere and vibes!

Deja was my nail tech and she did a sloppy poor job for my birthday which sucks because i had a terrible first customer experience. She was very negative and her energy was rude when i told her i was not satisfied. instead of accommodating she argued and said my nails are uneven??? when a nail tech says that that means they are high unprofessional and don't know what they are doing. she only oiled 1 hand and tried to overcharged me. She took 5 hours so hint why i didn't want her to start over she already took majority of my day away. High don't recommend Deja. she does sloppy bulky terrible uneven work. She kept touching my nails with her stiletto nails causes air bubbles in my nails. I hate them.

The Nail Shark at MM Salon has been doing my nails for 10+ years! Never disappoints. The nail art is almost always hand painted & enjoy my time with her. At the new digs, love the clean sleek atmosphere and option to get my lashes or hair done by the other stylists.

Walk-ins welcome

I've been coming to this location since 2019, and it's been my salon ever since. About 95% of the…read moretime I book my appointments with Don. If he's unavailable, I'm always happy to book with Theresa or Anna. Everyone here is incredibly talented, friendly, and welcoming. I usually get the Royal Pedicure ($95 with gel) or the Detox Pedicure ($115 with gel) whenever I'm in the mood for a longer, more relaxing massage. A regular gel manicure is $50, and nail art typically starts around $5 per nail, depending on the design. Chrome and cat-eye effects are an additional $25. A little tip for anyone with a similar situation: I had the ingrown nails on both of my big toes removed by a podiatrist, so my natural nails are much narrower now. My nail technicians simply use Gel-X or acrylic to widen and reshape my big toenails, and the results look so natural that you'd never know it isn't my real nail shape. I also want to give a shout-out to the front desk staff. The receptionists are always warm and welcoming when you arrive, and they'll check in throughout your appointment to see if you'd like any refreshments. They offer complimentary mocktails, coffee, water, soda, juice, and even some alcoholic beverages. Whenever I need a last-minute appointment, I just give them a quick call, and they're usually able to fit me in. The owners are also incredibly kind and generous. They frequently host giveaways and special events to show appreciation for their customers, which makes the experience feel even more special. I always leave feeling relaxed and well taken care of. One thing that has always stood out to me is how genuinely caring the staff is. If I have an appointment that runs late into the evening, they make sure I get to my car safely before locking up for the night. The shopping center has never made me feel unsafe, but you can never be too careful. That extra level of thoughtfulness and care is just one more reason why I've continued coming here for years.

My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years. We all but have a standing appointment every 4…read moreweeks, at 11 am. And while things were really good when we first started coming, the last 6 months have been going way downhill. And today was the final straw. We always come in early, by about 15 minutes. This gives them time to know we are there and clean up a couple chairs and get things ready. Lately, though, we end up waiting until well after our appointments, which then has the girls we use to rush through getting us done so they can get to their next appointment on time. Why do we always get the short end of the stick? Today was it, though. We get there 15 minutes early, and next to nobody is in the store. The girl behind the counter - who was not there 4 weeks ago, so I can only assume she was new - says it will be a bit, we are checked in, just wait patiently. 25 minutes go by, and Summer comes over and says she will have chairs ready for us in about 10 minutes. 15 more minutes go by, and not once has anybody since Summer even looked in our direction. I've had it at this point; I'm done. I go talk to the girl at the counter. Yes, I was louder than I should have been. Yes, I was causing a scene when I shouldn't have. I'll admit to both of those. But I ask this girl when it will be our time. People have come in after us and get seated/taken care of within minutes while we sit there and wait. She tries to tell me that they are busy, and Summer and Heidi had appointments that ran long. Not my problem! I booked time to start at 11 am, this is not new, we book this appointment 8 weeks out (we have an appointment on the books 4 weeks from now, so every time we come in we book the next one 8 weeks out, so we have a rolling 4 weeks going). She tells me she's sorry and there's nothing she can do. My time is just as important as anybody else's, and I'm going to end up paying for services that get rushed because now the girls are behind due to either overbooking or people asking for services beyond what they booked. Again - not my problem. I am a paying customer, and my time is getting pushed to the side. AGAIN. At this point, some older lady - and I am trying to be nice here - starts telling me that I'm intimidating a young girl. Bitch, please; there's at least 5 feet between me and the girl, plus a counter that I was nowhere close to being to go around. Besides, who would prefer I raise my concern to, you daft cow? The girl behind the counter is just staring at me with this blank look on her face, a stupid smile on her lips, looking all apologetic but not really caring. At this point, Summer comes over and starts talking to one of the girls that is supposed to be cleaning chairs and says she needs two chairs cleaned immediately. FOR US. 15 minutes after telling us she was having that done, she has to get someone to finally do it. So I'm supposed to sit there and wait at least another 15 minutes when I've got other stuff to do today? I think not. I leave. Right then and there. I tell the girl to cancel our appointments because obviously the store doesn't care about ten-year customers. And she can go ahead and cancel all the appointments we have on the books from this point on. Older lady continues to berate me as I'm walking out, like I give two shits what she thinks of me. We will not be back. There is no apology you can give for the way we got pushed aside and told, effectively, it's our problem for not being more patient. More patient? At what point, 45 minutes after we arrive and 30 minutes after the start time of our appointments, would you prefer we say something? We were there when Lynn and Vanessa were still there. Oh how we missed those two lovely young ladies. The people you have working the counter, coupled with the lazy cleaners and the techs that cannot stay on time, are why we are not coming back. Ten years of loyalty, and the people you have working don't care.

I've gone here twice when my normal nail lady is out of town since this salon is so close to my…read morehouse. Unfortunately both times haven't been the best. With my most recent visit I made an appointment online a couple days before. Despite this, I waited for about 20 minutes after I arrived at the shop and the last time I had made an appointment I also had to wait. While someone said hello when I came in, no one asked me if I had an appointment. There were also no books with regular polish options at the front (only gel designs) so it wasn't until I was eventually seated at the pedicure chair that I was given a book to look at when the nail tech asked what color I wanted. My pedicure felt rushed and ended up sloppy on one toe going into the cuticle and chipped in the corner of another before I even left the salon. Because I was switched to a different person for my manicure, the person who did my pedicure was already gone when I noticed as I took out the toe spacer before I left. As for my manicure, I was getting GelX and needed to soak off my previous set. When I was sitting down for the pedicure I asked the woman if I needed to start soaking them off. She went and talked to someone else but ultimately did not begin soaking them while I was getting the pedicure done. Unfortunately this meant once the manicure started the technician spent a lot of time utilizing her drill to try to speed up the removal of the previous set. This resulted in it getting hot and hurting my nail bed and I suspect she also drilled them where they are now thin due to how sensitive my natural nails were. She also nicked my cuticles with her drill so when she asked me to continue soaking my fingers it burned and I had to tell her I couldn't. She didn't apologize, just told me to only soak the other nails that weren't burning. As she was drilling off my set she did get a lot of nail powder on herself and then was using the brush on herself to brush off nail powder before brushing it off my hands. I was really hoping to like this shop, but unfortunately just really did not have the best experience.

***UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP***…read more I followed my nail tech over to this salon, because we all know once you find good hair and nails people...you stick with them!! Winnie is my girl!! She's the sweetest and I love how my nails turn out every time! She has taken over Jolene Sky Nails & Spa with her family and friends. They will run it under the old name until later down the line - their main goal is to update what they can now (including processes and social media sites) and upgrade the interior...which already looks soooo much better than it did when we came in before the remodel!!! They took over this salon early June 2024...so any reviews prior should not be counted against them moving forward!!! You can make appointments on their website, but they also accept walk ins!

The owner refused to take credit card and only took Zelle.. wasn't told this ahead of my service, but ok, did Zelle. Now she owes me $75 and has not paid, despite various requests. I booked the appointment with ClassPass, so it was prepaid. But I did have an extra charge for the French tip I did on my nails, which was $5. I added it to what would have been her actual price, in order to tip properly. Once I did this, I got the total price, with the tip, and accidentally sent her that (instead, I should have subtracted the service total to get the tip, and add that to the $5 extra charge). So I meant to send her $15, but I accidently sent $90. Right after sending it I realized what I had done was incorrect. I explained to her and she understood, and told me she would reimburse the $75 via Zelle, but would have to do it later and rushed me out and told me her husband was waiting for her. In retrospect, I should have just had her send it back on the spot. And not allow her to rush me out. Very disappointing, very sleezy.

I wouldn't recommend this place…read more I called ahead and asked if they accepted walk-ins. They said yes, so I came in. The woman at the front was nice and greeted me when I arrived. I asked for a pink and white pedicure and a full set, and they worked on my nails and toes at the same time. I'll start with the positive: the woman who did my toes was very sweet and genuinely nice. I didn't love how my toes turned out, and I had to ask her several times to fix things. After a while, I just gave up and accepted that they were going to look the way they looked. She was so kind, though, that I didn't want to make a bigger issue out of it. My experience with the woman doing my nails was completely different. She asked my name, I told her, and then asked hers. She told me "Mai." I thought, okay, I'll remember that. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly got on her phone for long periods of time while doing my nails. One of the worst parts was when she was sealing the glue around my nails. It was burning me badly, and she was distracted and on her phone. I actually have a video of this. When I told her it was hurting, her response was essentially that it was my fault because my nails were too thin. I haven't had my nails done in about two months, so I know that wasn't the issue being made out to be. There was also an issue with the shape of my nails. Instead of simply helping me understand what I needed to ask for, she seemed annoyed that I didn't use the right terminology from the beginning. I'm not a nail technician. I shouldn't have to know their specific nail jargon to get a basic shape done correctly. The way it was communicated came across as rude and cold rather than helpful. The entire appointment felt uncomfortable. I was polite throughout the whole process and repeatedly said thank you and that I appreciated her when things were going well. But whenever I tried to speak up about something I didn't like or that was hurting me, I felt like it was immediately dismissed or made into my fault. And then there was the weird situation with the names. The woman doing my nails initially told me her name was Mai. Throughout the appointment, she kept referring to the woman doing my toes as Mai as well. I didn't think much of it because Mai is a common name. At the end, she asked my name again and then explained that the woman doing my toes was Katherine and that she was Mai. I said, "Ohhh, okay," and she told me Katherine was her mother-in-law. Then, almost immediately afterward, she said, "My name Mai, her name Katherine." I looked at her confused and asked, "So she's Mai or you're Mai?" She then said that SHE was Katherine and the woman doing my toes was Mai. At that point, I honestly didn't even know what was going on. It's a small thing, but the whole interaction was strange and added to an already uncomfortable experience. I also noticed that the woman doing my nails seemed to be directing the woman doing my toes and repeatedly asking her to do things that I felt she should have been doing herself. Despite doing less of my service, I actually felt much more comfortable with the woman doing my toes. I spent $150 here, and unfortunately, I don't feel like I got $150 worth of work. My nails are crooked, the shape wasn't what I asked for, and I'm unhappy with how both my nails and toes turned out. More importantly, I didn't feel comfortable or welcomed during the service. I don't normally leave bad reviews. In fact, this is the first review I've ever left that wasn't positive. I don't like working against someone's business or livelihood, and I genuinely try to give people the benefit of the doubt. But this experience was bad. From the constant phone use, to being told the pain was my fault, to the attitude when I tried to explain what I wanted, to the final result, I left feeling like I had wasted my time and money. I would not go back, and I wouldn't recommend this place. Save your $150 and go somewhere you'll actually feel comfortable and appreciated. I would give zero stars if I could.
